Consumer Complaint: Paypal banned my account on XXXX XXXX, 2021, claiming violations of their policy, but after reaching out to them via XXXX, email, and phone, I have been met with no explanation of the clause or part of their policy that I violated or any details about my situation. My account has been mainly used for friends and family transactions, and I was informed via email that my balance would be held for 6 months, and then presumably released. However, on XXXX XXXX, 2021, my balance ( {$1000.00} ) was subtracted from my account under the excuse of " damages to the Acceptable Use Policy '' with yet again no explanation or details as to how it was violated. I have been unable to gain any information or assistance from their support team, and my money has effectively just been taken from me.

Consumer Complaint: This is a follow up to Complaint : XXXX. In that complaint Venmo asserts that the reason I can not add my bank account is due to not being in a place that Venmo is familiar with and thus it is being blocked. That is patently false. I am in my apartment, my primary and only residence, when trying to add my XXXX XXXX Account. I have tried adding my account on my laptop, my XXXX, and my tablet, all of which have resulted in " errors. '' These errors give no information other than " an error has occurred, please try again. '' This is a system error on Venmo 's end and has been an error for well over a year at this point. Their previous " solution '' and " response '' is a fabrication with no basis in reality and continues to show why they are the subject of several federal investigations and lawsuits by Attorney Generals throughout the United States. It's even more egregious as their is no area within Venmo to check to ensure the address they believe you're located in is the correct one. As it stands every time I try and set up my bank account for deposit/withdrawal it says that it succeeded only to come back and error out with a " form submission error. '' I receive an email from XXXX XXXX stating that my information is now being shared with XXXX/Venmo but nothing happens. This is a problem on Venmo 's end and needs to be corrected. It does not matte if I try and add my bank account manually or through XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I made a purchase on Pay Pal with their pay in four payments plan. I never received the item. I disputed the charge with them. They denied the claim 10 minutes after I had filed it. There could not have been any investigation done at all. I have continued to try to contact them up until a week ago. I have also requested them to only contact me through US mail and not email or phone calls. They have sent 17 emails and 8 phone calls since.

Consumer Complaint: I had an account with PayPal with an outstanding balance of around {$50.00}. PayPal has a system where they require people to verify their phone numbers on their website and I had changed my phone number. PayPal, however, wouldn't grant me access to my account if I didn't enter the verification code that was sent to my phone number that I no longer had. I contacted customer support, they refused to provide me with a reasonable solution. I was locked out of my account and they refused to work with me to help me retrieve my outstanding balance so that I could close out my account and move on. Instead, the representative made me refund my friend ( who sent me the money to pay for a bill ). There was no other alternative, they MADE ME give my money back to my friend and have to bother him because the incompetent staff at PayPal refused to help me. They refused to get in contact with their technical support team, they refused to credit me MY money, and then they suggested that I either refund my friend or donate it to a charity of which they refused to tell me specifically which charity it went to. In other words, they were extremely angry that I was leaving them and refusing to do business with them, so they decided to punish me by refusing to pay me the remaining balance in my account. They still refused to pay me my money and I had to bother someone else because they refused to do anything to give me my money. PayPal has stolen money from me. It was my money and no matter which supervisor I spoke to, no matter what I did for them, they refused to resolve the issue. They refused to pay me my money.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal " Return Shipping on Us '' was supposed to be working until XX/XX/XXXX. As per https : //www.paypal.com/us/cshelp/article/HELP692, " You can submit Return Shipping on Us claims until XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXl time on XX/XX/2022. Starting the very next day, XX/XX/2022, the service will no longer be available. Make sure to submit eligible requests as soon as you can to help ensure they get received and reviewed as usual. '' In the same article, it states below that : " If you submit an eligible request before XX/XX/2022, it will be reviewed as usual. If approved, the claim will be processed even after Return Shipping on Us has been turned off. '' Knowing that, I used PayPal for 3 transactions between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, believing the " return shipping on us '' would still be available. When I tried to submit refund requests for " Return shipping on us '' on XX/XX/XXXX, the button on the Paypal website to do so had been removed. I tried to fix this, both over the phone and over support provided on XXXX on the PayPal support account, and I gaslighted by several PayPal support representatives, saying in turns that the transactions weren't eligible ( they certainly were, looking at the Terms and Conditions for the Return on Us service ), that the promotion had stopped ( it certainly hadn't ), that claims should have been submitted before end of XXXX ( certainly not the case as per the above ). This is unacceptable behavior from PayPal.
