Consumer Complaint: Venmo, without my knowledge or consent, is classifying transfers between individual people as cash advances when reporting the transaction to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. As a result, XXXX CXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX is charging me a fee and interest on the transaction. The transaction records on Venmo 's side do not make any indication whatsoever that the transaction was considered a cash advance or that it would be coded as such on the credit card transaction. This is the first time this has happened to me and this has not previously happened. I believe this is deliberate collusion between Venmo and credit card processors to abuse consumers into paying fees and interest on low-risk transactions where it is not necessary or disclosed.

Consumer Complaint: Dear PayPal Customer Support Team, I am writing to you today to formally lodge a complaint regarding the permanent limitation that has been imposed on my PayPal account. I am hoping that you can consider my request to have my access restored. On XX/XX/2023 XXXX, I was notified by PayPal that my account had been permanently limited. This decision came as a surprise to me, as I have always used PayPal in accordance with your policies and guidelines. Furthermore, I have never been involved in any fraudulent activities or any other violations of PayPal 's terms and conditions. Despite my attempts to contact PayPal 's customer support and resolve the issue, I have not received any clear explanation as to why my account was limited. This has caused me great inconvenience and has put me in a difficult financial situation, as I have been unable to access my funds or make any transactions through my account. As a result, I respectfully request that PayPal reconsiders its decision and restores my access to my account. I am more than willing to provide any additional information or documentation that may be required to resolve this matter. I would like to emphasize that I have always valued my relationship with PayPal and have always trusted your company to provide me with a safe and secure platform to conduct my online transactions. Therefore, I hope that this issue can be resolved promptly and that I can continue to use PayPal 's services as I have in the past. Consumer Complaint: I have been using Venmo for years off an on. My friend sent me money as a favor and when I attempted to withdraw the money it stated that I was unable to do so due to my account being frozen. I attempted to contact their support team and they stated that I would need to send in a photo of my ID to verify my identity. After doing so I was informed that my account had been permanently closed and that I would no longer be allowed to use their products or services. No additional details were given nor has any sort of refund been issued. I now have {$360.00} missing and they stated they *might* attempt to give the money back to me after 180 days.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23, my friend sent me a Venmo of {$3000.00}. I received the amount & transferred to my bank account. Then a week later, his Venmo account was hacked & they placed a {$3000.00} hold on my account. We contacted Venmo & they told us that the case was under review. Then, a few weeks later we received an email that the case was resolved & the {$3000.00} was charged back to my friend. He called his bank & they told him the {$3000.00} charge was NOT charged back & it went through. Then, a few weeks after that, Venmo tried taking another {$3000.00} out of his account to pay back the charge. My account is still locked at Venmo & it says I owe them {$3000.00} in " debt ''. We have contacted Venmo multiple times & they keep telling us that they are not allowed to talk about the case, yet are actively trying to take money out of my friends account & keep mine locked, even though his bank told him the original {$3000.00} charge went through. I attached an image saying our case has been resolved & the chargeback complete, but my friend has NOT received his {$3000.00} back. So from our end of things, it looks like Venmo has the {$3000.00} & is trying to get more money from us.

Furthermore, I have advised in my complaints several times that I have not submitted any invalid or altered documents. In fact, any documents based on invalidity and alteration must be discarded as I have not submitted those. The documents were due to additional unauthorized PayPal accounts being created without my authorization. I want to bring to your attention that I have enclosed my valid Photo ID several times during the complaints, but it appears that it has not been taken into consideration. As a sign of good faith and cooperation, I have enclosed my within this complaint response. I hope that PayPal will now closely consider my request and make a professional decision that will help me. Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX my mom saw some charges on her credit card that she didnt recognize. They were made by me on my Venmo account. She called them in as fraud with her bank without checking in with me. Once I saw those charges were bounced I called my mom and told her to call in and say that she made a mistake. She called in and told her bank she made a mistake. Those charges were XXXX to XXXX XXXX, XXXX to XXXX XXXX, XXXX to XXXX XXXX, XXXX to XXXX XXXX, and XXXX to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX account is frozen and needs to be unfrozen as soon as possible. I have continued to make the payments via the credit card and on XX/XX/XXXX the credit card sent a letter claiming that the fraud case was resolved. I have since emailed that letter to Venmo support more then 7 times. I have called Venmo 3 times a week since this has happened. They have given me the rundown each time, telling me they havent heard from my bank, telling me just to wait 1-3 business days and hanging up on me multiple times. I have repeatedly asked, pondered begged asking what they needed for me and they havent given me an answer Ot a time window for which this has been resolved. Their most common answer is they are waiting to hear from my bank and my bank has made it adamantly clear they have contacted them. I do know what to do left, and I hope you can help them accelerate this process.
