Consumer Complaint: PayPal is arbitrarily and capriciously deciding to hold our law firm client retainer fees up to 21 days or more for no reason other than to harass, make money off of us, while we dont get paid and the clients dont get their contracted for legal representation. This greed makes life much harder in a tough inflationary economy for us and our clients. Please investigate and advise.

Consumer Complaint: On or about the XXXX XXXX XXXX, I tried to purchase a saw online for {$68.00}. I checked out and used PayPal since that was an option. Little did I know that this company had their payment system set up as a Friends and Family payment to bypass any clawback from PayPal. I didnt intentionally pay that way. That is how their checkout worked. I emailed PayPal with my concerns and rather then attempt to solve my issue, ( clawback from the fraudulent online store or otherwise ), they merely hid behind the fact that it was a Friends and Family payment per their email response attached below.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I had a negative PayPal account balance of {$2700.00} due to someone hackung my account. Since then they have been calling me to pay the debt about eight times a year. I'm unaware of when PayPal sold the debt, but on XX/XX/XXXX I was sent a letter by XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that I owed a debt {$2700.00} to them when I was never in a contract with them. Also within the letter there was use of obscene and profane langauge in the letter that they did not have the power to " sue '' me. The use of this language left me emotioonally distraught and I know that underneath Fair Debt Collecton Practices Act 15 USC 1692d ( 2 ) protects me from this. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a debt dispute letter with request for a proof of claim, a counter claim with self executing contract, and an affidavit of truth.

Consumer Complaint: ( Ref ID - XXXX ) Paypal you are XXXX wrong I don't care what you have to do to get ethical employees and quality Assurance that is fair & respectful of customers but you better find a solution to this XXXX backoffice that exploits XXXX and private class citizens from accessing their money cause I'm not having it or waiting another day for you to release my funds. You have all these rules and restrictions but the audacity to claim we can use your financial services securely. Today was hit milestone limit of your malicious and scrupulous ways. If you are going to advocate and market your services to consumers than let utilize them without prejudice. I was on the phone all day begging for support escalate the release of my account because a merchant owed me money & when the company actually agreed to pay me back you had the nerve to limit my account that was already restored 6days ago but you can't explain what actually went wrong~Nothing! You just keep sucking the life out of XXXX and other ethnicities that are solid and grounded in financial stability. I'm XXXX & instilled trust to deposit my money into your company with hopes that you would respect my interest. But your so called Back Office proliferates hatred and hostility towards consumers with racism and bias. I am XXXX and you knew I called today to settle my account so I could conduct my medical billing for the week but you ignored my every regard to establish reciprocity. Foolish heathens how dare you try to make me wait 180 days to retrieve my money. You haven't given me anything but grief and XXXX and the fact you solicit your services with segregation is beyond fathom. At least ask or notify a customers if you have concerns. Don't go pulling tricks and snaking customers behind their backs to take money that doesn't even belong to you. Keep it and practice common sense and professional values. You don't give anybody a PayPal XXXX to follow when they sign up but stay having the excuse to Limit their accounts just for utilizing the app features you say we can use. If I wana transfer money into my bank account or pay a bill that my prerogative It doesn't cost you anything~So why the heck do you train agent 's to tells us lies that it's in Paypal 's interest to protect us from risk when you are actually the ones practicing Shady compliance. Please release my money by tomorrow morning before I call a XXXX XXXX reporter to investigate your Compliance fraud. If you continue to violate consumer privacy & practice unjustifiable bias you will lose business from XXXX XXXX citizens. Please get a Public Relations Advisory to monitor the negation of your Back Office team cause they are running XXXX XXXX business like a XXXX plantation.

Consumer Complaint: Paypal XXXX reference number : XXXX Paypal XXXX to block my business without any reason. I use paypal to receive and send money to my suppliers simply. I am a customer since 2029 and yesterday they blocked my account and my money. Paypal XXXX reference number : XXXX Here is their message : You can no longer use PayPal. After studying your account, we have decided to restrict it permanently, as it presents potential risks. Therefore, we can no longer offer you PayPal services. No card or bank account registered on your PayPal account can be deleted or registered on another account. You can still log in and view your account information, but you can not send or receive money. If you have money in your PayPal balance, we will suspend it for up to 180 days. After that time, we'll send you an email telling you how to access your money.

Consumer Complaint: I bought XXXX of BTC on Venmo , and have had problems with sending small amounts ever since I made the initial purchase. Fast forward to today, I have a balance of roughly 11k in BTC and the Venmo app is not letting me send to a different wallet or cash it out ; its literally stuck in Venmo, they are holding my entire crypto balance hostage, I cant even send small amounts. This has been happening for almost 2 weeks, I havent been able to touch my money. Ive tried everything from the waiting game to reinstalling the app many times, my phone etc.. Ive spoke with Venmo assistance on phone and lengthy mail conversations, their best advice is to reinstall the app, Ive done this multiple times. Still nothing. Ive explained my troubles and have spent hours of my time going back in forth with their support team, theyve told me this last : the true ( and likely frustrating ) answeris that we are not able to resolve this for you. You may try to make the transaction again at a later time, but I can not guarantee it will work. You may also try a different payment method, which will be subject to the same internal reviews. I'm very sorry again for the inconvenience this causes but if you have additional questions or concerns please let us know! Consumer Complaint: VENMO My account was frozen back in XXXX of 2020. They froze my account with {$1600.00} and have refused since then to release my funds. I have over 70 tickets with venmo regarding this matter of which maybe only half have been answered. I have filed with the XXXX in which Paypal, who owns Venmo, responded and said my funds would not be released due to strict violations of their policies. I then emailed PayPal and got an email after 3 years of asking why and they stated I had committed fraud and suspicious activity on their app. I have read Venmos policies and it states funds can be held up to 180 days. Venmo has flat out told me I will not get my funds back and that they can hold my funds for however they want to. They cause damages and defamation of character accusing someone of something without explanation as to why, which they also states they do not have to do. Venmo bends their contract to the current situation which in turn means it really isnt a contract if it can change under sole discretion. Many, many people have had their accounts frozen and had their funds held for things as simple as sending birthday money and Venmo does not have to offer a reason why and then gets away with just keeping the money.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal has limited my account based on the fact that, I had one instance when Ive been using this account for a year plus of fraud. The fraud was on my PayPal debit card, because I filed a claim they permanently limited my account and are refusing to allow me access to my XXXX XXXX balance for 180 days, yet the email they sent me says I am able to withdrawal any available balance, but my account will not let me. It is a violation of reg e for PayPal to not take my claim seriously and instead of investigate the unauthorized charges on my account they proceeded to just instantly ban me locking my available balance.
