Consumer Complaint: I checked my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX to find that my collective Nelnet student loan balance had increased from $ XXXX ( approximate ) to {$24.00} XXXX DOLLARS. I reached out to Nelnet who told me that they would resolve it within 7 days. I have daily monitoring of my credit report and after checking today I am still seeing that incorrect amount reporting to XXXX. This incorrect information will negatively impact my standing with all open lines of credit because it looks like Ive taken on way more than I can afford to pay back, and additionally a very important loan Im going to be applying for in the next few days will never go through because of this incorrect reporting.
