Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: There is no way that these companies investigated this student loan. The same information continues to report on my credit. I honestly don't believe I was late and I don't agree with the total balance that they are reporting on my credit. It continues to report several inaccuracies among the 3 credit reporting agencies from the last student loan company. How is that possible? For example, Each bureau reports that I was late on a different date Also, Hows it possible that youve reported me 90 days late with no late payments prior to that? Wasn't XXXX sued by Cfpb before for not applying payments to consumers accounts correctly?

Consumer Complaint: I have a Fed Student loan that is serviced by Nelnet I was a good payor and then due to employment reasons went into forbearance for 3 months - I waited too long to contact Nelnet to extend the forbearance and they reported I was late with payment. Because I did not consolidate the student loans there were 8 separate loans all listed as late. Because of this my credit score plummeted and now I am unable to get an apartment car lease or anything else. Help. Why should my life be ruined because of one late payment. Thats all it was was one late payment that has even affected my employment. Please help me as I am hopeless at this point.

Consumer Complaint: My student loan servicing is through Nelnet. I was a graduate student from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Interest accrued on my loans while I was in school. I was in post-grad forbearance until XX/XX/XXXX. COVID forbearance is currently active and started in XXXX. At no point in time have I been in repayment status. Nelnet moved my loans from post-grad forbearance, to repayment status for 1 day, and then into COVID forbearance in XXXX and capitalized {$2200.00} in interest at that time. I never received a letter letting me know about the status change to repayment and interest being capitalized.
