Consumer Complaint: Graduated and walked with graduating class at graduation and then received a letter a week later informing me of a mistake! Stating the school had me pay for and take a class unnecessarily taken to graduate! That I also still needed one other class to graduate and receive the degree I was told I had already completed requirements mandatory to complete! Was unable to return until the following semester to complete needed class and by that time I was informed I need 3x the amount I had previously needed! Never received degree and all the money and time that I spent my time putting into obtaining it!

Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX finished my college education in XXXX. I took 11 student loans that were satisfied in full. Therefore, I never signed for a student after XXXX. I have attached a copy of each satisfied student loans. My problem now is that my ex-wife at one time added me as a person of interest to pay on her student loans that were serviced by Nelnet Loan Services. My divorce decree never had a stipulation that I would be responsible for her student loans, totaling {$63000.00}. I request the immediate removal of these accounts from XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX respectfully. Nelnet may be inclined to even send to me copies of all signature pages for these loans, which will prove that I am not a responsible party. Consumer Complaint: I, consumer and natural person, have never went into a consumer transaction with Nelnet. 15 USC 1692 refers to individual privacy. My contract grants an " ORIGINAL CREDITOR '' permission to have my information, it does not give a third-party debt collector permission to contact me. No one is allowed to have or purchase my information without my consent. This is an infringement upon my consumer 's right to privacy. Also, 15 USC 1692e refers to false or misleading representations. Nelnet has used false representation of a. the character, amount, or legal status of any debt, and b. any services rendered or compensation which may be lawfully received by any debt collector for the collection of a debt. Also, the debt being in the positive balance is false representation of the amount of the debt. If it is a debt ad it its owed, it should be shown in the negative.

Consumer Complaint: My original loan was through XXXX XXXX, but this year when they got " out of the student loan '' business, they sold it to FirstMark Services a division of Nelnet. I requested a deferment/forbearance in XXXX and never heard back. I was able to make a double payment that month so all was XXXX. However, this month when my bill came I was like " XXXX '' cause they said they were putting in my forbearance request. I tried to call for 6 hours off and on but the number kept disconnecting. Finallly I got through to someone and he couldn't tell me what happened.
