Consumer Complaint: I have been a service member for over 12 years in various departments of the XXXX. I submitted my PSLF application, while I was XXXX to the XXXX XXXX, under the limited waiver more than XXXX year ago. That form was never processed. I was told time and time again to wait it out- give them time- due to unprecedented high call volume. When I returned to the United States my wife was still waiting for her form to be processed too. She received notice in XXXX and was transferred from Nelnet to XXXX so I couldnt be far behind. However, a month after she was placed with XXXX I was placed with Nelnet instead. This to my family screamed a big red flag that my application was not processed. It was only the start of the nightmare I contacted FSA Great Lakes Nelnet and XXXX all by phone and email - after waiting hours on hold each time they all just keep pointing the finger at each other. Last month I was told to contact the XXXX department at XXXX who again had no clue how or where to recover my application. How do we fix this? Because the student loan companies surely arent!

Section 607 of the FCRA requires that consumer reporting agencies " maintain reasonable procedures designed to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. '' In addition, Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) of the FCRA states that " a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ''

Consumer Complaint: My student loan servicer, NelNet, is misapplying my payments to interest and not principal. I have made overpayments throughout the entire " Covid Forbearance '' period, yet my account shows that for 6 consecutive months they applied 100 % of my payment toward interest. I have called and emailed multiple times requesting they audit my account to correct the problem. On the phone, they acknowledge the apparent error and say they will refer my account for review. However, I have received zero response despite waiting months. I have also received zero response from my email inquiries. I need someone with the authority to force them to do a an audit of my account and correct the misapplication of payments to interest instead of principal.
