Consumer Complaint: I have co-signed my daughter 's XXXX XXXX student loan. Every month Nelnet Department of Education reports different balances while the loan has been deferred. Because of this practice, my credit continuously falling score fell from XXXX to XXXX, thus putting me in hardship. After spending months trying to find out who is responsible for Nelnet XXXX or Department of Education, every entry points this to credit. Credit bureaus clearly say we report what is reported to us. This harassment must stop.

Consumer Complaint: The student loan debt listed on my credit report should have been discharged inXX/XX/2013 under Bankruptcy Case XXXX XXXX it has been on my credit report and no changes were made to remove it despite the many requests. this is unlawful and has impact my credit score tremendously. Additionally, when trying to refinance my mortgage, I was told there are 2 entries for student loan debt - ( 1 ) XXXX XXXXXXXX and ( 2 ) XXXX XXXXXXXX basically destroying my debt to income ratio ; I never owed XXXX XXXX in student loan debt. Any and all student loan debt needs to be eradicated from my credit report based on the bankruptcy documents.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a TPD application to the department of education ( Nelnet ) to totally and permanently discharge my school loans because of my XXXX. My account number is XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my application from the US Department of Education approved my total and permanent XXXX discharge application and I entered into a three year post discharge monitoring. Period in XX/XX/XXXX, I received full approval for total and permanent XXXX discharge after the three-year monitoring period. Additionally, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received, a fully favorable opinion from the Social Security federal judge. After reviewing my credit documents, some thing I was unable to do because of my illnesses for so long, I noticed there are 24 closed loan accounts from the department of education with zero balances, but still were counted as closed accounts. In addition, there was one account, which was reported as open, but had a zero balance. As you know, closed accounts on a credit report can do much damage to the person with the credit report. I contacted Nelnet and explained my argument that a discharged loan is not the same as paying off a loan or forgiving a loan. I have found evidence on various websites of Nelnet and the department of education, which support my argument. I would like to see these accounts deleted from my credit report as soon as possible, as a Discharged loan counts as a cancellation, especially because the person receiving the discharge is unable to apply for another school loan while keeping the TPD status. Please help me make this right wrong for myself, and for others with XXXX, struggling to repair their credit after years of patiently waiting to be approved for financial assistance. Thank you very much. All the best, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My loan was recently transferred to Nelnet from Great Lakes when they were acquired. I updated my loan information through FAFSA with my most recent tax information. Because my Adjusted Gross Income is {$380.00} ( because I live outside the US ) my loan showed as {$0.00} payment on the FAFSA option. I sent the requested information to the loan servicer applied for an Income Driven Payment plan that takes into account the AGI as the key factor to determine repayment. I received an email confirming that they had received my application and it would take 10-15 days to process. That was received on XX/XX/XXXX. It is now approaching the end of XXXX. When I finally got through to customer service, they told me they were attempting to process the paperwork. Since the recent Biden-Harris action XXXX the wait time has gone up to 30 mins but actually takes over an hour to reach a representative. On multiple attempts I have waited on the phone but the wait time does not decrease and I also submitted a complaint on the website to have the correct information displayed but I have received no response. Currently, it shows that when repayment resumes I will have a {$500.00} a month payment, which is not the option I was shown from the official FAFSA site.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for an extension/forbearance. I was informed that I could forbear for 2-month increments for up to 12 months. My forbearance was accepted for XXXX and XXXX. I attempted to apply again to forbear for another 2 months since I am still unemployed and experiencing hardship. I was told that I need to wait 12 months before I can forbear again. This 1-year waiting period before using another 2 months of forbearance was not communicated to me in either verbal or written review of the terms of the forbearance. When I brought this to the attention of a representative over the phone, I was informed that the complaint would be made, but I would not be able to get additional forbearance until next year.

Consumer Complaint: I already sent a complaint on XX/XX/23, but the response I got was not right. The university that was stated in the response was wrong. The correct school is XXXX XXXX XXXX not XXXX XXXX. I stated I received a letter that explained how I was ineligible for the loan and there is no record of it at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I never received a single XXXX. Also, I had to have a co-sign when I tried applying for this loan. Somehow none of this is on the co-signers record? How is that possible? Please take me off this loan, I NEVER RECEIVED IT. THANK YOU.

Consumer Complaint: Every week my credit score has been dropping in free fall XXXX or XXXX points since my federal student loan account changed from Great Lakes to Nelnet. Ive tried contacting Nelnet with no success. Im very upset. We are in the process of trying to get preapproved for a house and I have no stability as Im being penalized for this loan account being transferred and even worse its not everyone with accounts that transferred. Besides the gross negligence of this on someones perfect credit history, with knowing that its not being handled the same for everyone the obvious questions are why me and when is this going to stop? Forget getting rectified I have XXXX faith in that but my credit score has already dropped XXXX points in a little over a month and with no end in sight I just want to know what I can do during this extremely frustrating time. Thanks
