Consumer Complaint: I have XXXX plus student loans. All of them are on a IDR plan except one. That one should also be on the IDR. Ive been trying to contact Nelnet to understand why the one is not, I can not get through to them. Their wait times are nearly 2 hours long. So my issue is 2 fold 1. I cant get in touch 2. The one loan should be on IDR and needs to be fixed.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX Nelnet opened XXXX loans on my credit report. They notated that all of these loans which adds up to over {$23000.00} was each a separate loan. Nelnet also put my date of last payment as XXXX. Then charged over that and made it a negative balance. I do not owe any student loans. I did not receive any funds from these loans. Nelnet bought these loans from Great Lakes thinking I would pay it. Again I didnt receive any funds these loans were reported as fraud. I did not open XXXX loans. I did not open any loans. XXXX XXXX charged loans XXXX or 4 times and never sent me the funds they distributed these funds to someone elses bank account. Again I did not receive any funds from these loans. I did not sign any documents for these loans, and these funds were obtained fraudulently I do not owe Nelnet and now they have damaged my credit.

Consumer Complaint: Wherein certain facts have become known I am bringing forth my rights as a consumer but most import is my rights of Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. I stand on my right of Religions Freedom and acknowledge and Accept MY RELIGIONS LIBERTY PROTECTIONS as stated in XX/XX/XXXX MEMORANDUM to the 50 states Attorney Generals and included herein. I also accept and acknowledge my rights to PRIVACY as stated in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ) XXXX which states the protectection of the privacy of student education records. FERPA applies to any public or private elementary, secondary, or post-secondary school. 20 USC 1232g ( b ). According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' By the three agencies reporting my private information they are preventing me from life, libery, and pursuit of happiness. I have the right to make sure my private information isn't shared which is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states '' It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) the financial institution and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ; do not have my consent to furnish this information and i have never given my written consent. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) Never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states '' Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information. Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' These accounts are adverse items they are reporting again without my permission which is against the law. 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A states " A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. 15 U.S. Code 1681e states '' Every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX, XXXX and XXXX are clearly not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also XXXX XXXX XXXX states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am opting out of your reporting services.

Consumer Complaint: Ive requested Student loan payment refund through Nelnet since XX/XX/2023. Loan balances were added back to my account in early XX/XX/2023 and was promised to see a check within 2-3 weeks. However, since then I still havent received a check and was trying to call Nelnet periodically but was told the request was still being processed. This is extremely frustrated because the payment is about to restart and I have to pay for the interest for the balances reinstated in my account. I still dont have the check in hand.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 at approximately XXXX XXXX I tried calling Nelnet XXXX my student loan service provider. After going through the menu, I was told by the automated voice that my hold time would be XXXX minutes! On Nelnet 's Contact page is the following language : " We're currently experiencing unprecedented call volumes, which is leading to long hold times. We apologize for the inconvenience. '' And on their email page they say : " We are experiencing unprecedented email volume at this time, which is leading to longer-than-usual response times. '' I have important and time sensitive questions about my student loans. I called the XXXX phone number first ( they answered within a few minutes ), but they referred me to my loan provider for certain questions. No consumer should be expected to wait over an hour on hold to have questions answered. Student loan borrowers have no choice in their service providers. We are stuck. Nelnet is clearly unprepared and/or unable to properly serve it's customers. Nelnet might address this problem by : 1. Hiring more customer service representatives. They need to double, triple, or quadruple their staff. 2. At the very least, institute a " call back '' option whereby a Nelnet representative calls the customer when the next agent is available. Again, no one should have to wait on hold for over an hour. I suggest that the appropriate government agencies/authorities investigate Nelnet 's ability to properly serve student loan borrowers. If they don't improve their customer service capability, they should not be in the student loan servicing business.

Consumer Complaint: Ive been trying to resolve this problem since XX/XX/2022. Loans were taking out in my name fraudulently. Nelnet has failed to investigate and remove my name from this debt. I never authorized or signed any agreeing to this debt. Nelnet never compared signatures, request IP addresses from computers, contact the school. The school can tell you where the checks went, who cashed the checks, but Nelnet never inquired that information. Theyre just saying Im responsible for the loan and I am not. This is fraud and I sent a police report as well.

Around XX/XX/XXXX I was able to get the Dep of Ed/Nelnet student loan accounts REOPENED and CURRENT with Dep of XXXX XXXX but the 5 Dep of Ed/Nelnet student loan accounts that are closed are still reporting negatively on my XXXX credit report. Between the Dates of XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX I have disputed with XXXX and Nelnet multiple times via telephone and mail to have the closed student loan accounts removed, but XXXX and Nelnet refuse to remove the 5 Dep of Ed/Nelnet student loan accounts that are closed and reporting negatively XXXX is the only credit reporting bureau that is reporting the Dept of Ed/Nelnet as closed and negative even though in XX/XX/XXXX the accounts were REOPENED and now CURRENT with Dep of Ed/XXXX I have disputed with XXXX using Consumer law and most recently XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Nelnet has failed to report to the credit bureaus, the correct balance on my student loan account for the last 2 months and is soon approaching the 3rd. The account is now paid in full and payments made in XXXX and XXXX are not posted the balance shows {$6900.00}, my XXXX balance, with 4 added payments made since then to zero the loan. Reference my previous CFPB report XXXX. Nelnet has severely mismanaged the unnecessary consolidation of accounts ( XXXX XXXX into Nelnet ) and delayed my payments now they are FAILING to report to the credit bureaus. In ADDITION, the previous Great Lakes reporting and payment have disappeared from Nelnet last report on XX/XX/2023. I have paid {$40000.00} in total payments and to today history reports only {$6900.00} ever borrowed reported to the credit bureaus. Again, today 's balance is now XXXX but I have ZERO confidence Nelnet will ever report anything correctly to the credit bureaus. I have filed disputes with XXXX and XXXX.
