Consumer Complaint: I have tried for years to get help with both private and federal loans through my server, Navient. Navient has fail for over 5 1/2 years to work with a payment that I can afford. I was repeately given option to put loans ( they served both private and federal ) in forbearance so times over the last 4-5 years that the principal continue to grow. Each time my loans came out of forbearance, I would call and ask for help because there was no possible way to pay them over 500/mo. I pleased with them, each time, explaining that my financial income was not projected to increase. They knew conitnuing to put me in another forbearance would only allow for my loans to grow without the projection I would be able to pay when it ended. Many times I explained that if you could just lower my payment to around $ 100/mo could avoid forbearance and at least be moving in the right direction. They refused that offer or ablity to work with around $ 100/mo. They said the lowest they could lower my payment was from approx. {$430.00} to {$180.00}. Once again both the person assigned to my Navient Loan account and I, discussed If I paid even the latter amount, the income to outflow work sheet they used to " lower my payment '' ( which half risen due to continual forberance ) showed very clearly that I would be paying way more than bringing in. Might I add, my pay each month is consumed by rent, electric, utilities, and tv ; leaving just enough to buy food, personal hygiene items, transportation, and necessities for my children. No credit card, personal loan, or other debt. Once my forbearance time had been exhuasted, I was told Navient had no other ways or options to assist me in aggreeing on affordable payment or program. My assigned Navient account officer gave me the following advice ... She advised me to try to toggle payments between my two loans they served. She continued to explain that my best option was to pay one loan ( approx {$100.00} ) per month and then skip that one and pay $ 150- $ 200/mo on the other loan the next month. She said at least it will buy you some time so your loans do not default. With great disappointment and 0 options left, I tried to toggle my payments but # 1 I was stuggling severely and # 2 I was still delinquent in the latter loan. Now both loans are in default. Until XX/XX/2018 my net income was approx $ 1400/mo and as of XX/XX/2018 my net income is approx $ XXXX/mo. My house hold is 4 with no other income. My husband has been in SSI and XXXX limbo for going on 2 1/2 years and both children receive state aide. Please can you help me?

By the time I ended the day at XXXX school, the library was closed. So I had to drop out and focused on XXXX XXXX school. During the course of my account I had missed a few payments. I was in financial hardship during the period I had the account. I have PAID the account off last year 2017. I have request Navient to forgive my late payments on my credit file after I had paid off the account, and with fail they denied me.

Consumer Complaint: I've been paying on my loan forever. It keeps going back up to {$13000.00}. I have a family of XXXX and filed bankrupcy. Called the company and they gave me excuse after excuse. I also asked them about the forgiveness program nd they said I have to pay I dont qualify for anything.. I explained that the school I was going too closed down due to fraud. I shouldn't have to pay back. As I already paid the {$3500.00} I borrowed. We need justice and so many people are being robbed by this company. My account should be closed..reasons again.. Filed Bankrupcy Discharged Fed2018 Fraudulent School closed down I support a family of XXXX My account just was increased by {$5000.00} back to square one. They have everything on file as I tried getting this ressolved. Please help Desperate mother with faith

Consumer Complaint: I called to ask questions about the programs and was told that I had to be a student to get the information. I asked if it was a good program and the rep said that University XXXX XXXX has a contract or affiliation with the government for XXXX XXXX XXXX students. The graduation rate is over 85 %. Because I am low-income, I would not have to pay back the loan, unless I graduated with a diploma in my field. My starting salary would be over {$40000.00}. I also was told that I could cancel the contract after 30 days. The contract had to be signed that day. The contract was emailed to me at XXXX. I printed it, signed it and took it to the library to fax it. I was never able to cancel the contract. I filed a complaint against XXXX and Navient. XXXX finally sent me a copy of the contract. The contract XXXX sent had no signature, date of birth, driver 's license number and had the wrong email address. Navient had the lawsuit dismissed XX/XX/2018 for jurisdiction (? ) I couldn't really understand it. I only signed one contract, there are 7 loans. I don't know what else to do. I am still low-income and have no way to pay this loan back. I am a XXXX, on medicaid and section 8.I would like to try to make my life better but this loan is more than I can handle.

Consumer Complaint: Navient Student loans is a company that does not even try to help studentsehuch have been paying them thousands of dollars over a decade. U tried very hard to deal with them to reduce the interest of my loans but every time they say no we cannt help. There is no program whatsoever to help students that always have been paying their bills. Thousands of dollars over years. Every payment that I make goes towards the interest only. Only couple of dollars per couple months goes towards the principal. Abviously if I could make large payments to pay off I would. I have been dealing with a lot of health issues and the only thing they say is put on auto pay and you should be ok. Navient just takes and takes and takes from poor students and does not try to work with them.

Consumer Complaint: This company has destroyed my credit as well as my fathers. I was so young and XXXX when I signed for these loans. For years they tell me I still owe the same amount!! Ive been told lies a lot!!!! They are now harassing my house and my parents. I might gather all phone records and sue because this is causing myself to have majorly XXXX XXXX. The amount they want me to pay monthly is not doable and they say there is nothing that can be done. I want even having them take money out monthly and they were raising the payments that they would take out of my account with out my knowing!! Navient can rot for all I care. How I still owe the same exact amount is extremely shocking and I need help!

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter by mail in XX/XX/2016 that my loan qualifies for XXXX School discharge and it would be discharged. Well years later my loans were not discharged. XXXX sold my loans to Navient and Navient is pretending like they never heard of this. I have fought for years with XXXX. Now that the loans are transferred to Navient, they stated I have to start the process all over. I have 4 loans from XXXX school that totals {$7000.00}. I just want this taken care of so I can pay my legit student loans. This has hurt my credit score and interfered with finding a home.
