Consumer Complaint: I have two loans with Navient, consolidated. I am trying to pay off the smaller loan first. The last two payments I have allocated my payment to pay the minimum on loan 2 and do an overpayment on loan 1. However, 24 hours later I will go on the website and the account summary does not reflect my allocation. This first happen on XX/XX/19 and again on XX/XX/19. I have to call them and have them manually adjust it.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX EST, I contacted Navient in regards to reducing my monthly payment amount for all 8 of my private loans. The first representative offered no options so I asked to speak to a supervisor. After speaking to a male supervisor, he also offered minimal options and before the call was over he said to me that I should find gainful employment so that I could be able to pay back my student loans. As a consumer, that was totally unacceptable as he does not know my situation. Also, his tone was rude and he offered no real solution to ensure that my accounts remained in good standing. I have always paid my Navient loans and would consider myself a good borrower. After reviewing the Navient website, it offers Extended Repayment and Rate Modification/ Extended Repayment options for private loans but I was told i am not eligible for either. As the phone call continued and the more frustrated I became, I did state that I'm better off letting the account go into collections. According to the supervisor I spoke to, even though I stated I will still pay Navient what I can afford, the supervisor stated I would still go into collections then default. How am I able to go into default if I still would be making payments but I just am unable to pay the full amount? Navient does not offer any working solutions for a borrower like myself to effectively manage their student loans. Their company rather send you to collections and destroy your credit rather than to help you stay current. Currently, my Rate Reduction Program is extended until XX/XX/2019 but I want Navient to offer me a better long term solution to repaying my student loans such as the Extended Repayment for the life of the loan. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: Navient refuses to show me the contract i signed for an adjustable rate loan ( which i never did ). They keep lying and saying they will send me the contract if i agree to payments. They set up a false account in my name.prove that i signed a contract!! I went into the united states XXXX XXXX XXXX in 2005 the year i graduated highschool for 10 years after i left high school. All you all do is pray on people that cant afford attorneys after setting up fake accounts and then charge them interest they can never payoff. I am in the mortgage industry and i am 1,000,000,000 percent sure that i know you all violate governing laws.

Consumer Complaint: my mother fell terminally ill, and I was the only one left to care for her. As such, I had to leave my job, and my savings went toward her health care expenses. I fell on very rough times after she passed away, and was unable to make my student loan payments. I realize I made a mistake in falling behind, but up until that point, my payment history with you had been spotless. When I was able to gain employment once again, I quickly resumed paying my student loans, making them a priority. Im not proud of this black mark on my record, but its the only one I have, and I would be extremely grateful if you could honor this request to remove the lateness from my credit report. It would help me immensely in securing other lines of credit so that I can further improve my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/19 I am unable to get a customer service agent on the phone. When I call, there are adds for : 1. XXXX XXXX, 2. services for people over the age 60 3. a XXXX credit of {$100.00} when I decline all- I am put on hold and a customer service agent never picks up. This is not fair and unethical and immoral. I am a slave in the machine that manages to keep me on hold long enough to run out of time, air and the will to participate in the great democratic process that founded this Country. I have been paying this debt for over 10 years, I do not qualify for debt relief because I was lead to believe that consolidating my loan would benefit me. It was a lie. I don't need a special counsel investigation to tell me there is collusion between Washington and big banks. You guys rot. I am going to spend my retirement advocating for people to not pay back their student loans, that's the only way to the negotiating table. Also, I would never encourage anyone to follow me into public education. Your agencies have figured out that we are sitting ducks. The largest union in the Country and through one loop hole or another you have counter fitted the people serving this great nation. I don't need an orange headed XXXX who makes his living cheating the system to represent me, he represents offices like yours.
