Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't temporarily delay making payments
Consumer Complaint: I took out a private student loan in XXXX in the amount of {$6000.00} dollars when I attended XXXX XXXX. XXXX closed and was deemed a predatory college under the new student loan guidelines. Navient dismissed many of the loans from XXXX but said mine was not eligible because XXXX is now XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I filed for XXXX XXXX bankruptcy in XXXX of XXXX. I included this loan in the bankruptcy. According to the courts it was dismissed, but Navient says I still owe on it. I recently saw that Navient was held to a large financial judgement for making people pay on their loans even after it was XXXX in bankruptcy. I have been paying on this loan for 18 years and the balance is only XXXX dollars less than I started with. I feel like I am unjustly held to a debt that was XXXX 11 years ago. Enclosed is the bankruptcy discharge letter, student loan information from Navient and other details. I asked them to settle this debt for {$1200.00}, but they refuse. I just want it gone.

Consumer Complaint: Naviet Private Student loans, i thought the debt would ne discharged in Bankruptcy ive filed XXXX, and XXXX. The school that I use this private loan with is XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was trying to remove Co signor, the service wouldnt remove them with several consistent payments as they promised. The made it difficult, they've combined my loans and extended payment. It appears as they increased in interest with the forbearance, which they stated i was not eligible before during my loans because I've exhausted. Thats why Ive had to file for bankruptcy in the past because I didnt want to default on my private loans.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX : I took out student loans to attend XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, CO. I was told they were Federal Student Loans ( FSL ) & were eligible for any and all protections/services as they were FSLs. The servicer was XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I filed XXXX XXXX bankruptcy ( XXXX District of XXXX ) and the student loans were included in the bankruptcy proceeding. The student loans were transferred from XXXX XXXX to XXXX and updated to reflect the bankruptcy claim XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached student loan data from studentaid.gov with a breakdown of 3 FFEL student loans that were serviced by XXXX XXXX, transferred to XXXX, and included in bankruptcy. XX/XX/XXXX I received a bankruptcy discharge. XX/XX/XXXX the FFEL loans were put into repayment by the servicer. When I contacted them by phone, they stated that student loans are not dischargeable in bankruptcy & I was required to pay on the student loans. From XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, I was unable to pay and these loans were in deferment or forbearance. I began repayment, despite the bankruptcy discharge more than 3 years prior. I continued to pay several years. In XX/XX/XXXX, there was a payment & interest pause announced to assist student loan borrowers during the Covid emergency. When I contacted Navient, I was told that my loans do not qualify for payment pause and interest would continue to accrue. Despite multiple lawsuits against Navient and XXXX XXXX, I somehow was unable to get relief from the predatory loans, serviced by predatory lenders, practicing illegal collection activities of duly XXXX loans, for a school that was shut down due to their illegal, deceptive, and fraudulent practices. I inquired with Navient countless times about relief that was being granted to borrowers who were defrauded by XXXX XXXX and Navient. Every single time, Navient told me that I did not qualify for any relief and I was still obligated to pay. The FFEL loans were paid off in XXXX. These loans that should not have ever been collected on. The federal government is now discharging and refunding borrowers who are in my exact situation, however, I never seem to qualify for any of the discharges, refunds, or other relief provided to those in my situation. I filed a borrower defense claim XX/XX/XXXX ( application # XXXX ) and am a post-class member of the Sweet v. Cardona case. Additionally, I was advised my loans *should* be part of Manriquez v. Cardona . Despite all of the steps I have taken to obtain relief from Navient and XXXX XXXX, I was forced to pay thousands of dollars for student loans that were discharged in bankruptcy, part of multiple class action lawsuits, to servicers who were sued by multiple government agencies. https : //www.consumerfinance.govXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I am not sure why this continues to happen, but it SHOULD NOT be. Dept of EDXXXX has popped up on my credit reports as having a student loan of {$35000.00}. I attended XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in Tennessee in XXXX. The loan was originally with Navient. It has been paid in FULL. I have documentation showing that. Somehow, XXXX started reporting in XXXX and after some back an forth and the documents from Navient showing it was paid in full, they took it off my reports. Now, after almost 4 years, it is back with Dept of EDXXXX ... . I am so tired of fighting this and people being allowed to just throw XXXX onto my report with NO proof, no contact with me, the reporting agencies just let anyone say " they owe me '', and they will report ANYTHING whether true or not and mess up people 's lives. I want this taken off for the LAST time! How is a PAID IN FULL student loan from 25 years ago being put back on my report time after time. People REALLY need to fact check. The report agencies SHOULD NOT be allowed to report something from this long ago, especially when PAID in FULL. I think because my information keeps getting pushed around, the agencies seem to think it is " new ''. Regardless, it needs to come off immediately!
