Consumer Complaint: Navient ( Sallie Mae ) was presented with a cease and desist in XXXX that was illicitly processed by XXXX University ( XXXX ) in California in XX/XX/XXXX. I tried over several years to have the loan dismissed as XXXX processed the loan application as part of the initial application packet without my knowledge and failed to inform me that the loan had been processed. When I received the invoices from Sallie Mae it was too late to cancel the application with XXXX XXXX as they had a 7 day rule cancellation policy. After several years of trying to work with Sallie Mae and never attending a single class at Sallie Mae I sent a cease and desist to Sallie Mae stating that the loan was fraudently processed by XXXX and that I had never attended a single class. The cease and desist stated that unless Sallie Mae intended to take me to court over this matter to cease and desist all attempts to collect the debt. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX I received a phone call from a debt collector ( XXXX ) stating they were trying collect a debt for Navient, referencing the same XX/XX/XXXX debt mentioned above. I informed the company that called that a cease and desist was in place and that I didn't want to receive any further contact from them. They stated they would comply. This complaint is against Navient for their pursuit of this matter, and obvious disregard of the cease and desist request and the over 20 yrs of time that has elapsed.

Consumer Complaint: Navient 's negligence has ruined my life. They had been sending my bills to an old email that belonged to my mother seven ( 7 ) years ago. They had my address and phone number on file, as they used those to verify my identity when I called, however, they never reached out to me through these avenues. My credit score fell from XXXX to XXXX. I'm not able to buy a house or a car and I have no idea how they plan to have me pay them back without the ability to acquire a reliable form of transportation. I contacted them, they said since my account was 90 days past due they would automatically deny any complaints I filed to them. The credit bureau told me to contact Navient and " buy something like a refrigerator to rebuild '' my credit. ODE told me they are unable to do anything but if I feel wronged then I can try to sue them or the loan provider and see what happens. I have truly given up all hope.

This is harassment, I just spoke with Navient support this morning informing Navient that I filed a complaint with the consumer financial protection Bureau for sending my work a letter asking for my personal information, this call ended at XXXX XXXX. After I arrived to work and opened my email I see the below email was sent at XXXX XXXX to my entire company. I will be filling a second complaint for the continued harassment at my work. Consumer Complaint: Navient had agreed to suspend payments and interest due to CoVid-19. Just now, they not only started charging again but also never even notified me they were going to start creating a late payment. Even on their own banner on their own site and app, it says in plain writing that they are suspending payments and interest until XX/XX/2020. So what is going on?
