Consumer Complaint: I sent a letter of validation and the company has not responded. They claim they are collecting on behalf of the federal government but have not send me any documentation they are authorized to collect on this XXXX XXXX. The account number they provided is not the same as my XXXX XXXX. They recently sent me an " offer in compromise letter asking me to list all my bank accounts and financial assets. The " Consumer debtor financial '' document This document is very similar to XXXX Form 770 but it is not an official government. It is very misleading an implies that I am dealing with the US government but instead a private debt collector. I am not going to send sensitive financial information to a company that has not shown me they have any written authority over my account

Consumer Complaint: I have a private student loan with Navient and got a little behind after a phenomenal payment record since XXXX. I am getting phone calls three times per day for a {$26.00} past due balance. Honestly, after a great payment history I cant believe the criminals would bother you for such a measly amount which will be paid this month. Navient is an unscrupulous company and should be investigated by Congress for harassment.

Consumer Complaint: During the national XXXX XXXX, I struggled to make payments to the creditor. I was not able to work and had to file unemployment ( for the first time in my life ). I did fall behind on payments but did catch up on all late payments and have been making on-time payments since that time. I contacted the lender regarding this situation during and after the XXXX and they indicated that there was nothing they could do. I was working with a corporation at the time that closed all of their XXXX offices nationally during the XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I applied with StudentAid.gov for their Income Based Repayment program and was automatically enrolled in their SAVE program. I also applied with their Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, to which my school is eligible. In submitting my paystubs, my retired husband 's w-2, and given access to our tax return documents, the site stated in the screenshots taken that my repayment was {$0.00} until XX/XX/2048. Navient asked for the SAME documents about 2 weeks later to which I submitted. Then, in a document dated XXXX, they're stating they need my RETIRED husband 's most recent W2. He is RETIRED, he only gets that document ONCE A YEAR for filing our taxes. Here 's the kicker, if they can't get a recent w2, they need a letter dated and signed from me self-certifying that is what he makes. I can't. If they can't accept official government documents what good is letter from me? If StudentAid.gov doesn't need me to self certify a letter, Navient doesn't get one from me. I am so LIVID with Navient, all they do is give me stupid delays and meanwhile, I am getting charged late fees on my account. This is not the first run around they've given me but what more document does this company need when the organization that says I'm qualified for debt forgiveness and a {$0.00} payment is stating such.

Consumer Complaint: Navient is stating that only some of my student loans are delinquent when there has been a federal hold on all student loan payments. I asked them to explain this and to send information and which all they stated was that these were unsubsidized there for needed to be paid. I asked for them to explain this because I have many more unsubsidized loans through Navient and they were not telling me that all of them were due only specific ones and they were not able to explain why and the difference between the loans only that I needed to pay. This has significantly impacted my credit score without a reason why this is happening. I have disputed with all 3 credit report companies, and they have stated the same, that they are staying with Navient 's report. I need someone to explain why I am being impacted financially when Navient has not been able to give me a reason, I have over {$120000.00} in student debt and Navient is only reporting {$40000.00} as not being paid, what about the rest? All of the student loans are direct subsidized and unsubsidized through the US Government, not private loans and there has been a 3 year hold.
