Consumer Complaint: Navient forced me into forbearance after forbearance that I could not pay. Ultimately they forced me into paying my loan in full, to avoid legal action. Paying this loan of XXXX dollars in full put my family and I in a very tough position. To this day the late payments for the loan forbearance that I could not pay is on my credit. If I would have been given options or coaches on how to take care of this load I wouldn't have ever gotten into this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Navient on 2021 in regards to them withdrawing {$250.00} on XX/XX/2021 and XX/XX/2021 for the same loan and {$43.00} on XX/XX/2021 and XX/XX/2021 for the same loan. Essentially, charging me twice for the same loan but only crediting my account once. Navient responded by stating they only withdrew the amounts once, not twice. My bank records shows where Navient withdrew the money twice. I contacted Navient a second time with my bank records, and they have not responded to my inquiry. Student Loans are with my maiden name : XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I have been paying on my student loan for over 7 years. My balance does not go down it in fact continues to escalate higher. I have asked on an occasion for a full audit of my account and never received it. Last year my account balance was approximately {$47000.00}. Today, I looked online at my balance and it is now at {$49000.00}. At the this rate there is no way I will ever see this balance going down. The interest rate is approximately 6.25 % pretty high for paying back a student loan. I am paying approximately {$340.00} per month and have paid higher amounts. Having paid over {$28000.00} on a loan that had a did not have a balance higher than {$40000.00} and as of 2022 to still have a balance of {$49000.00} shows that this will never be paid as nothing is going to the principal. I do not receive paper statments which I have asked for on numerous occasions and sometimes I receive them but most times I don't. I'm completed frustrated with this process. I am a XXXX XXXX who had hoped to be clear of this debt by now but at this rate it will never happen. Regards, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from Navient stating that two FFELP loans had to be recertified for my IDR by XX/XX/XXXX. However, when I logged into the Dept of Ed website I was notified that my IDR is not needing to be recertified until XX/XX/XXXX. Navient continues to provide misleading information to those who have loans being serviced by them. I've been on an IDR for the last 10 years for my loans, primarily through Navient until XXXX bought some of the loans in XXXX. As a result, I can not afford for there to be a lapse in my IDR as, per the agreement, as long as paid on time and in an IDR for 20 year the remaining debt is canceled. Or so that is my understanding. I feel as though Navient is intentionally causing confusion and rarely provides accurate answers. How much more time do I have in my IDR before the remainder of my loans are cancelled? Also, when do I have to recertify? Because if I go off the Dept. of Ed, who I should be following, then it's not for another year. If I go off what Navient is saying, then they will increase my payments and who knows what will happen to the time I've spent in the last 10 years making payments. Lastly, per Navient 's website the date that they have for " loan payoff '' based on my IDR is in XXXX. That is TWENTY more years from this year, on a loan that is suppose to have cancellation after 20 years, that has been paid for 10 years already. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there is once more misleading information.

Consumer Complaint: Navient is the servicer for my XXXX loans incurred through graduate and medical education at XXXX University and XXXX University XXXX XXXX XXXX between XXXX and XXXX. I consolidated these loans in XXXX and they went into formal repayment in XXXX on a XXXX year plan. I pay this loan on time and have never missed or had a late payment. Navient has declined to offer me the Federal COVID interest deferment that started in XXXX, stating that, although these were originally Federal student loans, they have no obligation to honor the Federal interest deferment. I am lodging a formal complaint regarding this as undue burden and contrary to the intent of the CARES Act for Federal COVID relief.

Consumer Complaint: Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX Navient called me 7 times between the hours of XXXX and XXXX. I told them once to please stop calling me while I am at work and that I will be making a payment on Friday. I am usually very good on payments but I was out sick for a week and my employer forgot to add my sick time pay so my check was shorted until tomorrow XX/XX/22 when I get that money added to my new paycheck. I was called multiple more times after asking them not to. Lady would not listen to me told me there was no note about prior phone calls or me asking them to refrain for the day. I got angry and had to hang up as she was insistent on taking my focus from work. I work in XXXX XXXX and can not be getting calls 7x in one shift! I have to keep my phone on me, and patients, staff, and others do not need to hear BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ during meetings or need me to excuse myself. " According to the FDCPA, a debt collector can not call a debtor more than once per day for each debt. This means that if you only have one outstanding debt, then your debt collector is only allowed to call you one time per day. '' This was clearly violated, and this is not the first time this has happened either.

Consumer Complaint: Navient is contacting me too frequently : For the week of XXXX XXXX, in these 5 days, I received 22 calls from Navient. Before and since this week, there has been very little change in the frequency of these calls. They are always within the hours of XXXX, but they are very difficult to deal with and each call is usually followed by a voicemail. I also receive 5-10 emails per week about my loans from Navient, but half of these only say I have a notification or new balance, not many specifics. And I also receive between 10-15 postal letters each month from Navient. It does not matter if my loans are current or delinquent, the calls, emails and letters never decrease in frequency or volume. Thanks for your help.
