Consumer Complaint: I have been trying for the modification to my home that was underwater in the beginning trees caused many damaging plumbing problems. Next was an electrical fire my son had XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. nationstar. Who is now Mr Cooper has stolen my private information saying I did in fact get the modification and after sending them over XXXX in cashiers checks, they say it was all a scam. Only there employees that called me to confirm had all my private information. My attorney has tried to resolve this. But they will not litigate with me. After all they have done to a single woman with XXXX children suffering and more. .. The people need to know how they will be treated by this deceiving company. And leaving me hanging here for 6 years. And still no modification with the hundreds of programs available. But There is not one for me. Absolutely no help!!! Consumer Complaint: Today is Saturday, XXXX XXXX 2017. I 've been trying to pay my mortgage on mrcooper.com for approximately 10 days. I have n't been able to login to my account on their website for this entire time. I have asked the company to reset my password 4 or 5 times and have been successful in changing it most of the time. On their website, after choosing a new password, you are then directed to a page to login with the new password. This is n't working. I know that I am typing the passwords that I have just chosen yet the website still says my password is incorrect. I have sent emails to the only email address I can find on their website which is designated for reporting accessibility problems due to XXXX or XXXX Mr. Cooper has sent me a very nice email telling me that I have sent an email to the wrong department and that I should call the company instead. No one is answering my phone calls. I realize that it is the XXXX season. People want to be off work. Should n't there be a message on their phone system saying that they are closed for the holidays? This company recently purchased my mortgage but I was able to make my payment online last month. This is incredibly frustrating and I want to get this resolved before the end of the year. I apologize for ranting.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is in regards to Mr. Cooper mortgage company previously known as Nationstar. I cosign the loan for my daughter which is why I was also responsible for the payments. My husband passed away and my daughter divorced which made it difficult for us to pay the loan for the house. Several times we attempted to negotiate a sale for the house and when we asked for the final pay off the mortgage company would take their time and prolong the pay off into the next month. This added additional costs and we would lose our buyers. This happened three times. Recently we asked for a payoff and it was good until XXXX XXXX of XXXX. We closed on the house on XXXX XXXX of XXXX. The title company dispersed the amount requested by Mr. Cooper on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. And employee at Mr. Cooper signed for the registered letter on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. To my knowledge everything was paid and I no longer had to deal with the mortgage company. On XXXX XXXX I received a call from Mr. Cooper and was told that the amount for the payoff was not enough and that on XXXX XXXX, XXXX Mr. Cooper had added on more interest and that I owed another {$330.00}. And since it was XXXX XXXX it was already past due and I would have to get a new pay off and that would take us into XXXX XXXX where I would end up paying thousands of dollars more. I immediately paid the {$330.00} to stop further assessments. I contacted the title company and was told that they should not be allowed to add on any more money since we paid it off in full as they requested. When I called the mortgage company back to let them know they proceeded to tell me that I owed more than {$330.00} and that there was another XXXX dollars due to pay. I sent them the return receipt and a copy of the payoff that I had. Today On XXXX XXXX I was told that because I paid the XXXX that the loan was paid in full. And I did n't know the extra money.

Each check is for full XXXX XXXX XXXX plus extra Principal. {$1200.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX plus {$30.00} = {$1300.00} Prepayment of principal occurred XXXX XXXX XXXX Check XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( Check XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX Check XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX statement reflect the XXXX months of prepaid principal ( XXXX x XXXX = XXXX ), as unapplied partial payment, so instead of the required {$1200.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX payment, it 's {$1100.00}. I would increase the prepay principal amount, if it was properly account for. Why are they not letting me prepay my mortgage monthly?

Consumer Complaint: According to 12 CFR 1024.41 f -- -- We allegedly missed one payment in 11 years- Nationstar can not locate the check. Nationstar has foreclosed our mortgage for alleged non-payment of escrow. We have an escrow waiver and the mortgage allows us to repay the lender in the event we miss any payment. We have always paid our own taxes and insurance. There is no escrow in our periodic payment. Nationstar has allegedly opened a forced escrow account saying they paid {$140.00}. for us ; We immediately reimbursed Nationstar the {$140.00} as per the terms of our mortgage contract. Nationstar has NEVER paid anything on our behalf. They will not abide by the terms of the mortgage and refuse to admit they are wrong under the law. The CPFB rules do not permit a servicer to foreclose under any circumstances unless there is a default of payment of money for more than 120 days Nationstar has hired counsel who refuses to do discovery so we do n't know the basis for the foreclosure. Nationstar has returned 18 periodic payment checks to us thereby causing a manufactured default. I want Nationstar to state the law which allows them to take these actions

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, Nation Star/Mr cooper received a payment from me for {$10000.00}. My balance was {$10000.00}, which should have left a balance of {$83.00}. On XXXX XXXX, I saw the check clear my account, so went on line to see if I could get a payoff amount. I noticed the {$10000.00} was " unapplied payment '' and my balance was still {$10000.00}. On the home page it stated congrats your loan is paid in full. I call and the girl on the phone told me that my account was paid off and I had no balance. I told her I should have a {$83.00} balance. She told me, I was wrong and there was {$100.00} escrow credit which was applied to my account. I told her the payment history did not show that and my most recent statement showed a balance of {$11000.00} with next payment as of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, which was incorrect because it did not show my normal XXXX payment. She told me it would take a day or 2 to apply the payment, but my account was paid in full. I checked back on the XXXX of XXXX and their was not change to the history of the account, so I called again. I got the same run around and I was told it is in the satisfaction department and I was paid in full. On XXXX XXXX, I sent and email to them asking for my account to be updated because it was still showing {$10000.00} balance. They sent a generic email back stating someone would get back to me. On XXXX XXXX, I sent another email stating if it was not fixed I would be going to the CFPB, I received another generic email stating I would be receiving a letter within 10 day ( no letter ). SInce I did not receive a XXXX Statement in the mail, I went on line to check my account. There was no statement generated and the balance was still {$10000.00}. On XXXX XXXX, I sent another email, because the account is still showing a balance of {$10000.00}, I received a generic email back. On XXXX XXXX, I received a letter at my home, that they are researching my complaint and they have 30 days from when I notified them to resolve the complaint, however most of the time it is resolved in less than 30 days. It was already over 30 days from when they received my payment. On XXXX XXXX, I check my account and it is still showing a balance of {$10000.00}. I need a statement showing my payment was applied and the balance is {$83.00} and if there is an escrow credit of {$100.00}, it needs to show that, if not I need a true pay off figure. If my account is satisfied then I want my mortgage satisfied in the court house and proof the account is satisfied. I do n't want anything to show on my credit report years ago that I had a collection or missed payment for XXXX How hard is it to post a correct payment. How can it continue to show as payment applied, when my check was cashed?

Consumer Complaint: Company : Mr. Cooper Issue : Cancellation of Private Mortgage Insurance ( PMI ) Complaint : I have been unable to cancel PMI due to the mortgage provider, Mr. Cooper, not ever ordering an appraisal of my property that I requested on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Multiple representatives of Mr. Cooper 's PMI department have said that the process would take 7-10 days from when they processed the PMI cancellation request. Mr. Cooper confirmed that they had processed the request on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Since that date I have called four times ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) to request a status about the appraisal 's completion. Each time a representative expressed surprise when informing me that the appraisal had not been ordered. One representative on XXXX XXXX, XXXX blamed the delay on the vendor. Another representative on XXXX XXXX, told me there is only one person that handles ordering appraisals for PMI removal in the PMI department. I will now have to pay two additional months of PMI ( and maybe more ) since it 's still not resolved. There is irony in a company who charges consumers late fees if they are late on their mortgage payment ( I 've never been by the way ), but yet my only recourse is to submit a complaint to that same company when I 've done everything right. I requested to be copied on the email submitted to the employee who is in charge of requesting appraisals with the vendor and was told that copying me on an email was not allowed under company policy, but I guess treating customers with disrespect and patronizing them is company policy. My recommendation to the trainers and managers in the PMI department would to empower folks to be problem solvers instead of administrative bots that just explain the PMI process over and over again. I 'm calling for a resolution, not a lesson on how PMI works. Thank you.

XXXX XXXX XXXX submitted and received the payoff amount. I want to stress the house payoff amount was paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX. After selling, I was notified the loan was picked up by NationStar/Mr. Cooper. I did n't pay any attention to the notice because the XXXX XXXX XXXX loan was closed out with the sell of the house. At no time during the settlement process did the title company indicate NationStar/Mr Cooper was involved with my house loan. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I received a copy of my credit report ( all 3 bureaus ) and noticed XXXX XXXX XXXX and NationStar reporting the same mortgage account as late. In XXXX XXXX, I submitted a dispute with NationStar/Mr Copper via XXXX and XXXX. NationStar/Mr Cooper replied with the account is valid and updated the account to 120 late. Yes I was late but that was with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Both mortgage companies can not - by law - report the same account.

In the process of collecting all of the documentation needed, we discovered that Nationstar Mortgage / Mr. Cooper ( our mortgage servicer ) does not have a copy of our Mortgage Note ... VICTIM # 4 ~ STOLEN HOUSE PAYMENTS USING WIRE FRAUD ~ ". They did not credit me for the first payment ( phoned in check # XXXX ), and were using my second payment as my first, and my third payment as a second payment. The fourth payment was also not credit to me '' ... VICTIM # 5 ~ ILLEGAL FEES ~ " My suspicions are they have found my payments, but are deducting all the late charges that should be completely removed '' ... VICTIM # 6 ~ " UNWANTED LOAN MODIFICATION ~ " I 'm also puzzled why they claim to have completed a new modification on XX/XX/XXXX ... Why? I did n't need a modification, I needed them to apply my payments correctly ... ..Something they failed to do. '' ... VICTIM # 7~ " ESCROW FRAUD ... ATTEMPTED HOME THEFT USING WIRE AND MAIL FRAUD ~ " There was no shortage in my escrow account. However, I received a new escrow statement from Nationstar dated XX/XX/XXXX, falsely declaring that my escrow account was short { {$1200.00} }. Since my property taxes did not increase by that amount, and I had never missed a payment, it is not possible that my escrow account was that short '' ... VITIM # 8 ... MAIL /WIRE FRAUD ... FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE RESPA XXXX " The strangest part about this sequence of events is that the { {$1000.00} } disbursement Nationstar made to pay for the insurance premiums was never reflected on any of my Nationstar mortgage statements as required. '' ... VICTIM # 9 ~ " FAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE ~ " also mentioned she had reached out to the prior mortgage company, XXXX, to request information on my escrow account from them, but nothing ever came of that. XXXX XXXX has apologized to me for providing poor customer service and for failing to respond to my questions, and for not being able to solve these problems, but she has also refused to forward my questions to other qualified representatives at Nationstar to seek answers to my questions. It is now simply avoidance ... VIXTIM # 10 `~ MORE ESCROW FRAUD ~ " Nationstar has not explained the irregularities in my escrow account ( shortages, missed disbursement line items on statements, sending payments to insurance without invoices, etc. ) '' ~ VICTIM # 11 ~ " MORTGAGE FRAUD /ESCROW FRAUD ~ " I suspect this ruse is intended to create mythical delinquencies for unsuspecting mortgage holders.
