Consumer Complaint: I have requested cancellation of FHA monthly mortgage insurance premium ( MIP ) on my mortgage loan, which is serviced by Nationstar. Cancellation is required under the law, because I have met all of the requirements under the law and regulations applicable to my mortgage loan. On several different occasions, I contacted customer service and requested confirmation that MIP would be eliminated once the LTV was brought to below 78 %. Each time I was sent a " PMI Cancellation Request '' form that purported to require me to authorize Nationstar to order an appraisal on my behalf at my expense. I refuse to consent to such an appraisal being ordered, as it is not necessary under my loan program. The pertinent regulations require cancellation once the LTV has dropped below 78 % of the purchase price.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/2015I would like to file a complaint against NationStar Mortgage. They refuse to consider modify loan, that I now believe was inappropriate to begin with. I have been trying to get this loan modified for several years. The only reason they will not even consider modifying the loan is because I am not delinquent. If I can not get any assistance, I will become delinquent. I do not want to ruin my credit or become delinquent on the debt. When I purchased my home as my primary residence, I was put into an interest only commercial loan by Aurora Mortgage ( now Nation Star ) for 80 % of the loan amount. The interest rate was XXXX. In addition, there was a XXXX mortgage with XXXX Mortgage at a rate of 7.5 %. In XXXX of this year my loan will change from Interest only to Principal and Interest. I will not be able to afford this loan. In fact, I know believe it was inappropriate to put me in a commercial loan for my primary residence, especially since I have excellent credit. I was sold on this loan not really knowing what and why? Over the past several years, I have attempted to get these loans modified. I was told several times that no one would talk to me because I was not delinquent. In addition, it seems I am not eligible for a XXXX because it 's a commercial loan. I have tried everything to avoid damaging my credit and losing the property. Since I could not get the loan modified or refinanced, a few years ago, I rented the property and moved with family. The rental income covers the interest only loans, but will not cover the principal and interest payment amounts. I continued to try to get the loan modified to no avail. It was my hope to modify the loans and return to my home. When the loan was approved, it was based upon my stellar credit and my household income including my income and the income of my husband. I was told I could refinance this loan. In trying to modify these loans, I have had nothing but trouble because I have never made a late payment. In addition, I am now going through a divorce and my household income is reduced, however, I maintain my stellar credit. I am unable to refinance the loans because the value of the property is less than the loan amount. This is my last effort to try and get some help to modify these loans. I am in a situation at this point that if this modification does n't happen I will be forced to walk away from the home completely and allow the property to go into foreclosure. I know I can pay the modified mortgage amount as agreed. I keep getting the run around by rude people that stops my process of saving this house. I would like to modify it so I can move back into my home. I need help, quickly and I am resorting to you as I do n't know what else to do. RespectfullyXXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, I received a note on my front door by a Company identified as XXXX. The note said that they had identified my home as being abandoned even though I live there with my XXXX year old girl. The house has been foreclosed on and a Sheriff 's sale date is set for XXXX, XXXX, 2015. I immediately contacted XXXX and told them my home was not abandoned and they told me to contact the servicer who is Nationstar home Mortgage. I contacted Nationstar via email on XXXX XXXX via email and told them my home was not abandoned and to please not send anybody on to my property until the house was legally theirs. On XXXX XXXX, my daughter heard somebody trying to open the front door while I was in the kitchen making her lunch. I looked out the window and saw a gentleman walking around to the back of my house and began entering the back door. I stopped him in his tracks and he told me that he had permission from Nationstar to enter my home and that it was abandoned and that the locks had been changed. He showed me a set of keys that allegedly belonged to the " changed '' locks on my door. My house was not abandoned and Nationstar was notified 2 weeks prior. I have confirmation emails stating that they were told this. This is harassment and now my daughter is afraid to be in our home and I am afraid to leave my house. The man who attempted to enter my home was named XXXX XXXX and he works for XXXX in XXXX, WI. His phone number is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: After I lost my foreclosure, I was shocked to learn that XXXX was actually the owner of the note. They purchased my home at a Sheriff 's sale. During the course of the appeal, I tried to get in contact with them, to let them know that as a surviving spouse I was never even given the loss mitigation package which is supposed to be standard. I was actually not given any information about this loan, because I did n't sign it. They emailed back and forth with me, and finally said they were going to do additional research, because they did n't have any record of my account/house/mortgage. That was in XX/XX/XXXX and I never heard back from them. So, yesterday, the sale was confirmed. I just wasted another {$7000.00} in legal fees, I guess. If nothing else, I ca n't understand why they wo n't just open a line of communication and tell me what their plans are, so I can stop worrying about their " property preservation '' goons. Those people leave these tags on my door, which have instructions to call a number, but they wo n't call me back. When I did get an answer, last year, it was Nationstar, and they refused to even speak to me. ( because I 'm a surviving spouse. ) It 's so frustrating. Why do they have to be so rude? And do everything in such a rotten, scary way? I do n't want to come home to a padlocked house, and have my things all torn apart. I 'm seriously worried about that now. What 's going to happen? This has been 8 years of XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage payments were current with XXXX when XXXX sold it to Nation Star Mortgage on XXXX, 2014. Nation Star claimed I did not make the payment for the month of XXXX previous to their taking over the loan, so to protect my credit, and in good faith we made an extra payment. I then provided them documentation proving the XXXX, 2014 payment was indeed made to XXXX XXXX. We have repeatedly sent in documentation to different entities within their company they told us to send it to, and made repeated phone calls to resolve the dispute. All the contacts they provided us ( XXXX. " single point of contact '' & XXXX my " dedicated loan specialist '' ) were repeatedly unreachable by phone and unresponsive, would not return phone calls after we left messages on their voicemail. As of today, 8 months later, they have not properly credited the account, which *should* show as paid XXXX month in advance. The only responses we get are from their " research department '' who we are able to communicate with in writing but still assert the position that the loan was due for the previous month 's payment at the time they took over the loan. This is still wrong and irresponsible for the company to improperly credit my payments. The issue is simple, I made an extra payment in good faith until such time that the company can find their error, provided them with documentation to help them find their error, and have submitted numerous requests for my extra month 's payment to be properly credited to a future month. It appears they are so far incapable of simple accounting or providing a valid contact person to discuss and resolve this over a 6 month period.

Consumer Complaint: We have been consistently XXXX month behind and were contacted by our mortgage company to refinance ... my husband submitted all paperwork and got the rate locked in and in the truth in lending, etc., we were given the estimated closing costs. Our closing date was supposed to be this week. My husband was contacted Wednesday and was advised that person was no longer with the company and that paperwork was missing ; the closing date was now going to be moved ; we had to provide duplicate information ... including confidential information that was ALREADY provided ; and that the information we were given was incorrect and that we would now have to make XX/XX/XXXX payment and the closing costs were now approximately {$6000.00}! We feel this was a bait and switch and they should be held to the contracted amount in the paperwork that has been signed and submitted.
