Consumer Complaint: My monthly mortgage payment is {$1000.00}. For XXXX 2016, I paid {$1100.00}, an additional {$100.00} to apply to principal. Nationstar applied it to legal fee {$100.00}. When I called them about it, the 1st representative agreed to credit it back to my account. Then I was transferred to another representative who told me that I owe money for bank ruptcy. I do not owe any money for bankruptcy and they have never billed me for any legal fees owed. The problem is whenever I have paid extra money on my mortgage, it gets misapplied and they drum up charges to take my money.

Consumer Complaint: After my Loan was purchased from Nation-star they preceded to say that I needed flood insurance however I am not I provided survey. Two months go by and collection calls come in after many phone hours trying to get to the bottom of this they needed a Map Addendum which I then provided. Another 2 months go by no adjustment to the records. Charging me late charges and reporting to credit bureau that Im late on payments when I still continued to pay my monthly mortgage on time. Finally after numerous calls the insurance is fixed and removed from my loan. Now they are saying that I am behind a payment. How is that when I provided all the documents to show actually an extra payment is in. They continue to send people out to take pictures of my home and charge fees to me even tho i have told them I occupy the property. The credit bureau reporting in accurate information is very concerning as I cant refinance or get the pmi off of my loan as it looks like i am behind and i am not. I have plenty of documentation, emails and voice messages to substantiate my claims. I have spent countless hours on the phone thru emails etc and nothing has helped. I am a single mother and my home is important to myself and my children this situation is very sad. I 've seen Nation star foreclose on properties because of the same lack of communication. Please Advise Thank You

Consumer Complaint: My loan was transferred from XXXX XXXX XXXX to Nationstar some years ago. I have been paying my monthly payment online via their payment system. NOWHERE when I make payments does it say there will be a late fee of {$170.00} if I 'm more than 15 days late. It assessed an additional {$10.00} " transaction fee '' for 15-29 days in the month. I always made the minimum payment due later in the month but ALWAYS before 30 days. I was never 30 days late in all the years. Meanwhile, a late fee of {$170.00} a month was secretly accruing unbeknownst to me!!! I never had a " past due '' notice or a late fee notice online where I do all of my payments and business with Nationstar. It ALWAYS just showed the minimum amount due each time. SUDDENLY, years later a PAST DUE notice of more than {$5000.00} shows up. I called because it had to be a mistake. Nope. It was them finally telling me online in the payment center that I had a late fee that has been accruing every month for years! I HAD NO IDEA! There is no reminder ... there is not alert ... there is no box that pops up that warns you when you pay -- -ONLY a notice that a {$10.00} transaction fee will be assessed if you pay past 15 days. That makes it appear as though that 's the late fee. If they would have had XXXX notice that I had a past due amount because of a late fee I would have IMMEDIATELY changed my habits of paying the last two weeks of the month to the first two. I NEVER would have allowed this to happen. But they do it secretly and bury it in a statement in the mail, only -- so those who pay online -- which must be most everyone -- NEVER know about this until they alert you after it reaches some {$5000.00} or more. When I called they said, " do n't worry -- we 'll move that amount to the back of the loan. '' They are loving this late fee and do n't want you to know about it. I think this is unbelievably deceptive. I am enraged about it.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX sold my modified mortgage to Nationstar Mortgage in XXXX. It has been a nightmare ever since. Nationstar Mortgage Company claims to have paid my insurance through the escrow account I have. The insurance company confirmed today that Nationstar never made XXXX payment for my homeowners insurance. Yet Nationstar took almost {$3000.00} of my money for insurance in XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. Nationstar is currently filing for foreclosure on my house because they claim I am in arrears. They have provided no evidence of this. I have documented extensively my payments. I have proof that : 1. proof that Nationstar claims to have paid hazard insurance from the escrow account with XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX forms. 2. correspondence regarding the complete lack of insurance paid with money from the escrow account 3. I have made the payments that have not been credited to my account In XXXX they took {$830.00} for insurance from my escrow account. In XXXX they took {$2100.00} for insurance from my escrow account. In XXXX they took {$1100.00} for insurance from my escrow account. Because I live abroad I was not informed of this at all. Nationstar has not only reneged on the terms of the acquired mortgage in terms of insurance, they have imposed extensive fees and repeated inspection charges ; falsified information about my account ; neglected to credit {$14000.00} in payments they claim are in arrears, and are now foreclosing on my house that my daughter lives in. I have tried to correspond with Nationstar since XXXX of XXXX. None of my inquiries have ever been acknowledged or responded to. My requests for their legal counsel 's contact information were ignored 3 times since XXXX of XXXX. I have tried to communicate with the law firm representing Nationstar. I have provided the law firm and Nationstar with documentation of every payment that has been received, proving that I do n't owe any money. Nothing has been accomplished. I have no lawyer because they all want a {$25000.00} retainer. The foreclosure date is on or around XXXX XXXX, XXXX. How is it possible that a company, who has numerous class action suits involving hideous levels of corruption, is allowed to take a person 's house away, when they are not in arrears? Time is running out.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage is being serviced by Nationstar. Approximately nine months ago they ( Nationstar ) started to post my regular on time monthly mortgage payments as principle only. I had to contact them each and every time to repost the payments as a regular mortgage payment which they agreed to do. At the end of XXXX XXXX they sent me a notice that my monthly mortgage payment would increase by {$200.00} due to increases in real estate tax and insurance. I submitted a copy of the municipal real estate for XXXX to show them that the tax was an increase of {$54.00} for the whole year or less than {$5.00} per month. They refused to acknowledge their error and are demanding the additional {$200.00} per month stating a need for a more positive cash flow.

Consumer Complaint: This all started in XXXX XXXX when I had to leave a part time job subsidizing my income to help pay my bills so that I could go to school to get a specific license. I started having issues with making my monthly mortgage payments in XXXX or XXXX of XXXX. I then was released from my full time job in XXXX XXXX due to insufficient work to keep me busy and I collected unemployment I went out to start my training XXXX in XXXX XXXX. During this time period I was given a trial period for a modification on my mortgage. I was mailing them in and then they were kicked back to me. It all started over a shortage in a payment of less then {$3.00}. They said they were n't getting them in a timely fashion and that it was short money. I started working with them on a modification and this is where things escalated. I filled out the forms and faxed them back to the company. I made XXXX mistake this I own up to I forgot to write in the name of the mortgage company. It was faxed back with this information filled in.I had the confirmation on this fax and the one prior to it. I called back a few weeks later and they informed me that the paystubs did n't have a year to date on them and they did. I do n't get a normal paystub they are emailed to me. all information was on these stubs and spoke representatives a few times. being told that it was n't a problem. I called back again and this time I was informed that they were no good that they did n't contain a year to date portion. I faxed them back and circled the information that it was. This still was n't good. I had to wait to get to a terminal where I could have them printed out differently. Faxed those back and called to see if they went thru. first time they did not. faxed them yet again on a later date. waited and called back. This time they had. XXXX its not easy to get a confirmation. There was also a time that during this time period the rep I was dealing with called me. I had asked her to call me back in 10 minutes, she did n't. I called again to see how things were going with the progress of the modification and was then informed that the paper work had expired. So I filled out the paperwork again and had it faxed back to them in 48 hours from my terminal in XXXX, Wisconsin in early XXXX. On XXXX XXXX my daughter called me and told me that I had been served papers about foreclosure. I called the company and was told to not worry about it, because I was still being reviewed for my modification. On XXXX XXXX the documents were filed by the attorney 's office while still going trough the modification review. On XXXX XXXX I was informed that I was being foreclosed on. They wanted me to sign papers still to this day have no idea what they are or were. They emailed them and I told them I have no way of printing them that they have to be mailed due to the nature of my job..Nothing came.I was never notified in writing of the foreclosure. Just a court appearance date. I called many times and always got a different answer depending on who I spoke to. I had wanted a break down never got it.I wanted phone calls never got them. I started getting recorded messages. but the very beginning is cut off and you have no idea what or who it is from. From what I understand while I was going trough the modification review and the attorney filed the claim it is illegal. This is something I just found out yesterday.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, My loan was transferred from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to Nationstar Mortgage starting XXXX XXXX This was a Loan Modification Loan. When the loan was transferred Nationstar claimed that there were payments missing. Which was incorrect and proof of payments were emailed to Nationstar. Nationstar would harass me everyday or other day of missing payments for over a year and no one corrected or contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to find out what happen, but each time I would speak to Nationstar they would apologize and say we will do a research which no one ever did from Nationstar for over a year. Than after me complaining so much and following up I was told on XXXX XXXX that it is not the payment missing, but it was an escrow shortage that came from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Keep in mind I have all the dates, times & person I have spoken to from each mortgage. Each time I was told something different. This time Nationstar did do a research, but was incorrect. I would demand proof and I was not receiving it. I have emails to proof also. After many calls I did get someone from the escrow department from Nationstar and he was very nice after 2 hours on the phone he found the mistake. This was a Loan Modification and escrow was calculated the wrong terms. This was never corrected FYI. So finally I had it and requested a supervisor that I can deal with XXXX person which I was advised from Nationstar. Finally in XXXX XXXX I get XXXX person dealing with my situation from Nationstar and she did agree this a nightmare and did n't know where to start. She did do her research and received all my proof documents thru email and also did see these documents were emailed and upload in their system from the beginning. She was getting no where with Nationstar. So we did a XXXX way call to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX said they never received any letter request from Nationstar. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed to Nationstar that they applied a payment wrong and there is no payment missing. Since I no longer have a loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they wo n't speak to my unless Nationstar is on the line also FYI. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX requested a research payment to be correct. He did n't know how the process will work if I will receive a refund or if Nationsar will give it to me. Please note this missing payment was paid to Nationstar to avoid Foreclosure. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I receive a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that the research is in process. Later I receive a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that since the loan is no longer with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that Nationstar needs to request this matter which they did when we were on XXXX way, but the person did it wrong. Here we go again more mistakes. So back to calling XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with Nationstar going over everything etc. This time Nationstar was told that since the loan is no longer with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX there is nothing they can do even though they are the onc that did the error and that Nationstar has to fix this error in order to receive my money back it 's out of their hands. Nationstar heard again payment was not missing just XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX process it wrong. I received a call from Nationstar the same person that was helping stating that in order to refund me my money back and correcting the error they need a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, but they are having trouble to receive a letter. Nationstar person even had her manager call XXXX way to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and are not getting anywhere. So I am writing to you with help. To me this is fraud. I need my money back including the escrow shortage that Nationstar is claiming. There should be no shortage on any payments.

Consumer Complaint: In 2015, I was approved to purchase a house. I never made this purchase. In XXXX of 2015, I decided to contact my current mortgage holder in regards to refinancing. I spoke with XXXX of Nationstar mtg. I was told it would n't be a problem and passed along to the closing coordinator XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. A couple weeks later I was contacted by the closing coordinator and told that we would be closing at the end of the month. I then asked the closing coordinator if I needed to continue making my mortgage payment, and she stated that there was no need to continue making payments and depending on exactly what day we closed I could possibly have two to three months before the first mortgage payment would be due on the new loan. I was eventually contacted by XXXX and asked why have I not made my mortgage payment. I explained to her the conversation that I had with XXXX XXXX, to which XXXX responded that this would probably keep me from getting the loan and that XXXX XXXX must be new and did not know any better. Since that conversation I have tried contacting XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and I can not get them to answer the phone and they will not call me back. Now I have tried to get reapproved to purchase another house and I can not get approved due to the current late payments on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar is my mortgage servicing company since home purchase XX/XX/XXXX. I escrow my taxes and insurance and have done so with no changes in HOI company or escrow status since I purchased the home XX/XX/XXXX. This year my XXXX renewal was due XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and nationstar failed to make payment on my homeowners insurance. The policy lapsed as payment was not issued until XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and not received by XXXX until XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX i recived a letter from Nationstar regarding forced placed insurance. When I called I was told my HOI had not been paid this year. I ESCROW MY HOI WITH THEM! After escalation I was told the reason it was not paid was they did n't get a renewal. They also said the only attempts they made to get the renewal were the 2 calls to my insurance agent on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. My policy lapsed on XX/XX/XXXX and they made no attempts to obtain renewal or make payment on my HOI after the 2 calls to my insurance agent on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. My HOI had not changed, same company they made payments to in prior years. They never called XXXX to get renewal and didnt notify me until the forced placed letter arrived on XX/XX/XXXX. When i called them XX/XX/XXXX they advised payment was issued XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. That was a lie! Payment went out on day of call XX/XX/XXXX ( regular mail ) and was not received by Acuity until XX/XX/XXXX. There was nearly a 1 month lapse in my HOI coverage due to Nationstar 's incompetence.
