Consumer Complaint: In XXXX we put down XXXX % of the value of our new home and moved in in XXXX XXXX. The closing was with XXXX, then it went to XXXX and then to XXXX XXXX XXXX. We were caught in the massive scam that banks designed to take our money and our homes. Our mortgage went from {$1400.00} to {$3000.00} from one day to the next and still we had to add every month a PMI ( Private Mortgage Insurance ) of {$390.00} so the bank was protected in case we defaulted. When we were straggled by the XXXX % increase in payments we called XXXX XXXX XXXX to request a refinancing of our debt as we got more and more into debt trying to pay this scam. For more than 6 months the customer service representatives of XXXX told us that since we were paying just fine there was nothing that they could do for us. After six months and at the brink of bankruptcy one rep told us that the ONLY way XXXX could help us is if we defaulted on our mortgage, stating that once that happen the refinancing department will take over ... so we did and month after month letters of default kept coming. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX filed a foreclosure on our home and we immediately responded and started to prepare for litigation. It took XXXX 5 years for move the case forward. During that time we kept paying our HOA fees and save money for the " settlement ''. XXXX changed law firms 6 times during those 5 years until two months before the trial, all documents changed to Nationstar Mortgage and 10 days before the trial they made an arrangement with our lawyer to " settle '' the case. All of the sudden our lawyer who was very sure of our positive outcome in trial call us and practically convinced my wife to sign the worst settlement in which Nationstar took the mortgage of the house of {$390000.00} and unilaterally added {$130000.00} in interest, fees and lawyers fees to the debt to total a {$520000.00} and then refinanced the mortgage to a 40 years period and send us back to a {$3000.00} plus {$990.00} per month to pay the most expensive hazard insurance payment in the market ( {$2500.00} when the current rate is {$1200.00} ) for the next 40 years. They claimed that the were complying with the HARP but the five years they unilaterally took to bring the case to court they charged it to us when that was not our fault and should have been discounted from the debt. We started making payments towards the " new '' refinanced home that in the market cost {$310000.00} and for which we are paying XXXX. The initial three months we made the whopping {$3000.00} but in the fourth month we could only made {$2000.00}. Now Nationstar send us a statement saying that they are taking those {$2000.00} to pay " fees '' instead of applying them to our mortgage. In other words the are blatantly and up front stealing our money and are now preparing to foreclose on our home. The Home Affordable Refinance Act has been used by these unscrupulous institutions to bend all the rules in their favor and once again make us pay a home that they received full payment from the PMI once we defaulted in XX/XX/XXXX. We are sick and tired of these institutions taking advantage of the working Americans and we believe that enough is enough and we need the Federal Government to step in and help us so we do n't become homeless like the millions of Americans that their homes were taking away by these greedy institutions. We need and demand help it can not be possible that we pay 5 years a mortgage, then they increase it by XXXX % from one day to the next, then they tell us to default to " be able to help us '', then take 5 years to bring this to court and after all that do n't assume any responsibility for what they are doing, specially when our home was paid twice already : Once by the PMI and then by the bailout that we the taxpayers gave to these greedy banks. What else are they going to do to us while the Federal government watches?

Consumer Complaint: My account was sold to Nation Star Mortgage. My home equity loan was then given to XXXX XXXX. XXXX and Nation Star Mortgage are the same company. I setup and paid XXXX XXXX. Nation Star Mortgage has refused to update and change my credit report insisting the account is a charge off. This is not true. I settled with XXXX a company owned by Nation Star for less then the full amount and the account is not a charge off and has been settled for less then the full amount. It should be noted that in the event the consumer works with XXXX XXXX a company owned by Nation Star that Nation Star must then report accurate and not misleading information to the credit bureaus. Please see enclosed documents.

Consumer Complaint: I had for the last 12 month been receiving correspondence offering a refi with the company that holds my property mortgage, Nationstar Mortgage. I called to inquire and was told that although I had received the mailing I was not eligible for the offer to refi. Several months passed and I continued to receive additional offers. I called back and was told that I was in fact eligible and was transferred to a licensed specialist whom proceeded to ask me a series of questions. She determined based on my answers that I was eligible. She asked if she could pull me credit report and I told her I first wanted to know what type of rate and product she could offer me. The representative quoted me rates of " low to mid 3 % for the same 30 yr fixed product '' based on me telling her my credit score was over XXXX. I was EXTREMELY clear that I only wanted her to pull my credit if those were in fact the rates she could get me. She assured me they were. After waiting on hold for about 30 minutes for her to pull my credit report she returned to the line to tell me that although my credit score was very high the best rate she could get me was 4.15 % which is essentially what I have now. I asked her what had happened to the " low 3 's '' she was quoting prior and she proceeded to tell me that " it does n't make sense for you to get that rate you 'd have to pay almost {$20000.00} at closing ''. I then asked if those rates she quoted included paying points which not until after the fact did she stutter and hesitate but did confirm that the rates she originally quoted included points. Had i known that information I would have NEVER authorized her to pull my credit. As a result I now have XXXX hard inquires on my credit reports which I have worked extremely hard to get and maintain. I was given misleading and incorrect information. I was baited for the opportunity for her to write a mortgage. I can not have the inquiry reversed and as result my credit score will drop. In this new environment one would think mortgage companies would exercise extreme caution when quoting rates and giving the consumer correct and ACCURATE information. Plain and simple I was lied to and am extremely upset. I left several messages for XXXX XXXX at ( XXXX ) XXXX whom is the representative 's supervisor only to not get a call back.

Consumer Complaint: A property I own went into foreclosure after my mother in law died. I am in the process of selling the property and satisfying the mortgage in full, no short sale. In speaking to the bank previously, I knew there were added charged to the base principal for attorney fees, escrow advance, etc. When my title agent requested the official payoff for closing on XXXX XXXX, 2016, he received the attached document showing the payoff amount. This amount includes a new line item titled 'Lender Paid Expenses '' totaling {$4100.00}. I had gotten a breakdown from their attorney of the various fees being charged but nothing referencing this. When I called today to get a detailed breakdown of the charges, I was told they do not know what they are and the only way to find out was to make a request to the research department. Should be simple enough but was then told that they do not have phones. The only way to submit a request was formally in writing by either fax, which I do not have, or by mail. I asked how long until I receive the information and was told they have no timeframe for getting the information. So with a closing this week ( which would satisfy the loan without them having to foreclose ), I am being told I need to jump through hoops, submit in writing to a department without phones and an indeterminate timeline for response, to find out what they are charging me for. I believe they know that by stalling I will have no recourse to fight these unknown charges as the payoff will be made by the closing agent. They are hiding behind their research department to defend these false expenses. I believe I had a right to be notified of any expenses that were being charged to my account and since I have never received ANY paperwork showing such, it should be removed or proven. All I am asking for is a reasonable breakdown and explanation of the 'expenses ' being charged to me.

Consumer Complaint: My father passed away on XXXX XXXX, 2015. There is a reverse mortgage on his home in Arizona. I notified Champion Mortgage of his passing and provided a copy of the death certificate and will. I noticed them of my intention to payoff or potentially sell the home. I have requested from them payoff information and copies of documents. The only thing I 've received from them is a XXXX % of Current Appraised Value Loss Mitigation Option Acknowledgement. I was told that it would take 72 hours to process and provide me with payoff and the requested information. We are now at 10 days and I still have not received the information. I 've made several calls trying to speak with the same person I first spoke to ; I 've requested calls back from that person to no avail. They are completely unresponsive. One person will tell me they can not correspond via email ; another contradicts that. I 've been recording the calls since they are recording me and have talked to XXXX different people and not one has been helpful. Mostly I get put on hold for lengthy periods. This company is the worst. I am at a loss to know how to proceed at this emotional time. I simply need to know what the legal rights are for my sister and I and how to proceed to payoff/or sell. I actually went on-line and read the feedback on Champio Mortgage and it 's frighteningly negative. This is XXXX XXXX and I was led to believe I only have until XXXX XXXX to act or this company can begin forclosure. That 's not what my father would have wanted.

Consumer Complaint: I experienced a short-sale on my previous home in XXXX, XXXX. I had a first and second mortgage with Bank XXXX XXXX. At time of short sales, XXXX mortgages were fully reconveyed as the new owner took possessionXXXX marked XXXX mortages as " PAID AND CLOSED. '' However, some time in XXXX, Nationstar Mortgage began to report the XXXX mortage as open/past due! I did not even notice this until mid XXXX. Despite attempts to work with them, and sending them requested documents, they still report the loan to credit bureaus. This is really hurting me at this time. I have enclosed all documents I sent to them, and to XXXX who is participating, but they suggested I write to you. The documents include a record of FULL RECONVEYANCES on the property for XXXX mortgages. How do we get them to remove these records, and tell the credit bureaus THEY WERE COMPLETELY WRONG AND i HAVE BEEN " CLEAN '' SINCE XXXX XXXX?

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar mortgage services on mortgages are condoning identity theft, invalid mortgage paperwork, not answering questions according to respa, and providing answers without investigating, not listening to the customer, honoring documents that are copies or were never signed, copies provided to the form me and saying there legal. So far nationstar mortgage has provided a invalid original note deed of assignment, deed of trust, a invalid deed of trust provided to them by XXXX XXXX XXXX on a closed remic and assigned 9 years after the closure date. Provided invalid loan modification that was never signed by all parties, invalid amended and restated note, invalid power of attorney, and is not looking at any paperwork provided at all. the sale of this mortgage to XXXX is n't valid due to the fact that hud has no record of this loan and the remic it is not valid at all. So any resolution provided by them condones identity theft as they have shown. And why are the constantly changing there answers they tell the government one story and supply us with a totally different one with out investigating

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was recently sold to Nationstar Mortgage. I am a month behind on my mortgage and have been since before they bought it, I have discussed this with them several times, they know my situation and that I am working to resolve my delinquency. However, since they purchased my account, they have been in nothing but a dogged pursuit of me because I am a month behind. I was receiving relentless phone calls until I blocked their number, I get letters in the mail it seems like every other day, emails, most recently text messages and now they 've had people showing up at my door. I am not in default of my loan, I am a month behind and trying to get caught up, I have told them this several times. This kind of abuse is ridiculous, cruel and needs to stop, it should be criminal for them to harass people like this, especially when I am trying to work with them. The real kicker is that my mortgage was included in my bankruptcy in 2011. If I am not mistaken, I do n't believe they should be calling or harassing me at all as a debt collector. In addition to the abuse, they have begun submitting negative " hits '' on my credit report, I do not believe they can do this either? I have also seen additional fees, I presume they are borne out of financing their harassment regimen, but I do n't believe I should be responsible for those either? This company is out of control and needs to have someone with the ability to end their bullying, do just that, END THE BULLYING. I hope I did n't go through the process of writing this complaint for nothing, please do something to end the abuse of hard working middle class people that have found themselves momentarily down on their luck.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted an application for a modification along with all documentation requested. I was told they needed a XXXX for 2014 and current profit and loss statement for a business that no longer exists ( I sent the P & L for 2014 ). I advised them on numerous occasions that I did not receive a XXXX for 2014 and that the business was not operating. I went so far as to write a letter about each and upload it to my representative so he could place in the folder marked XXXX and profit and loss statement. After 3 attempts the only response I received was that my application had expired for failure to submit all documentation. All documentation was submitted in time.
