Consumer Complaint: I applied for a loan modification due to financial hardship and was denied. I had to call to get the reasoning for the denial as their so called personal representative that is assigned to me never returns my calls or responds to emails or answers the phone. The rep on the phone stated I was denied because I was not yet two months late only two day s from being such. They offered to apply my behind payments to the next 6 months payments. But If I am not able to make the regular payments, what makes them think I can make this payment. I really wanted the payment lowered and the MI insurance taken off the loan so that I can afford the payment.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage Complaint. I have called nationstar on several occasions to rectify an issue that they created and still waiting a response. The issue has to do with my Escrow account. XX/XX/2015 I refinanced my home loan with Nationstar and after the refinance went through ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I changed my XXXX XXXX policy to another provider. For some reason this year I received an letter from nationstar that I was without Insurance from XX/XX/XXXX so they purchased a plan on my behalf for nearly 4 times the cost. As you can see I had insurance did n't expire until XX/XX/XXXX and to top it off the policy should have been auto-renewed. Nationstar did n't pay the renewal and have asked them multiple time to fix it. The representatives that I have talked to all tell me they will get back to me and never do, that 's not true one lady did, but then told me she would call back in 3 days and never has. As this point I am very frustrated and do not want to deal with them anymore for their constant failure. I want them to fix my escrow account and return money to it as this is clearly their fault. Can I sue them for incompetence as I feel like doing that.

Consumer Complaint: I got behind on my mortgage as a result of a long drawn out divorce and the resulting financial struggle. I had applied for a loan modification XX/XX/2016 and was told that I would have a temporarily reduced mortgage payment for four months and if I paid that amount on time for four consecutive months then they would send me the paperwork to make that amount permanent. When I purchased the home I was married but the mortgage was in my name only. The loan was in my name only. Due to the community property laws of Texas, my then husband was on the deed. I divorced him and as a result of the divorce decree, I was given the home and a special warranty deed was done to remove him from the deed. After my four month trial period, paperwork was sent with my name spelled incorrectly. Then they resent paperwork but had my ex-husband as co-borrower. I not only explained the situation but provided the documents. They said that XXXX XXXX required that although I called them and they said it was not true. The rule states that the ex is is required unless he is deceased or removed from legal liability. I provided the documents but they would not recognize them. I tried for months to get this resolved and then XX/XX/XXXX I was told it was a final decision and that I did not qualify without him becoming indebted for my house. I have been through several representatives and supervisors. I wanted to keep my house but feel like they are stealing it so they can keep the {$10000.00} I paid up front and re-sell it for more. Nationstar has been extremely difficult to deal with. Initially I could not get anyone to talk to me. The automated system sent me to a recording based on my account. I even drove over to their offices at one point. Then I asked for supervisors and got the run around and they would not even listen to common sense. It was as though just reading a script and not thinking at all. I have been told that it the title company or legal office who draws up the loan modification paperwork is the one that decides what documents are required and that most likely the problem or block is there and not XXXX XXXX.

XXXX is not an attorney when attempting to collect a debt the consumer, creditor and Principal is due. Nationstar and XXXX filed a masquerading Foreclosure action attempting to seize the Lender, creditor, individual loan originator and secured Party consumers assets. Issue: Credit decision / Underwriting
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2016, I XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted Nationstar Mortgage Company ( Greenlight Loans ). I was put in contact with XXXX XXXX of Nationstar Mortgage Company and a loan number of XXXX was established. A home appraisal was scheduled and performed on XX/XX/2016. I submitted all the required financial, income and personal information to Nationstar in XX/XX/XXXX as well as closing my Home Equity Loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX credit cards at Nationstar 's request for payoff said loans with equity from the refinance. I received an email confirmation that Nationstar was " in the midst of submitting your loan to underwriting for review ''. On XX/XX/2016 I was requested by XXXX XXXX at Nationstar Mortgage to resubmit the information package that I sent them in XXXX 2016. These documents included earnings and leave statement from my employer, XXXX 's, social security card, death certificates, payment histories with my Home Equity Loan bank, driver 's license etc. The first submittal to them was lost by XXXX XXXX. At this point XX/XX/XXXX I became uneasy about my choice of choosing Nationstar with my refinance needs and sent 2 emails and left two voicemails to XXXX XXXX with no replies. I then became very nervous and contacted XXXX XXXX, the Loan Officer I originally contacted on XX/XX/2016. XXXX XXXX was professional and assured me that the refinance ( I am currently a Nationstar customer for the last 7 years and in my second year of a 5 year XXXX XXXX was in the process of closing soon. On XX/XX/2016 I asked XXXX XXXX when I would close because my rate lock was expiring in two days. At this same point I began receiving late notices from my Home Equity Loan bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I reminded them that the account was closed at the request of Nationstar and that the account balance of approximately {$33000.00} would be paid in full when my mortgage refinance closes shortly. At this point I was over 90 days into the refinance and was assured by XXXX XXXX that the refinance ( a 30 year fixed from an ARM ) would close in XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/2016 I was informed by XXXX XXXX at Nationstar that my refinance was not approved due to a greater than 30 day late on my Home Equity Loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX and that my credit score dropped below XXXX. I was not able to make a payment on my Home Equity Loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX because I closed the account at Nationstar 's direction. XXXX XXXX XXXX reported that I was greater than 30 days late to the credit reporting agencies and this in turn lowered my credit score. In summation, I now have late payments on my credit score, XXXX closed accounts and no refinance mortgage. This all occurred in the XXXX plus days since I started the refinance with Nationstar. I have consulted with legal counsel to determine my options for what has happened to me as a result of Nationstar negatively affecting my good credit and forcing me to close accounts under the good faith that the loan would close in 45 days or less. The loan went on for over 120 days and now I am in a bad financial situation. My legal counsel mentioned that a Judge 's ruling in Special Civil Part may be an option, however, I currently do not have the money for a retainer. I hope I can achieve some relief from Nationstar 's negligence that has affected my good credit and the mental anguish of over 4 months of stress and time off from work getting the required documentation to Nationstar twice by FAX.

Consumer Complaint: Since the purchase of my house throughout the tears I have been switched mortgagers several times. My newest one is Nationstar, recently through filing an insurance claim due to a hailstorm I found out that the previous insurance company I had always been insured with had been dropped because it had not been paid. Money for them was set on escrow and so they should have been paid. Bc of the drop I was assigned another company which is completely expensive. My claim is geared towards Nationstar for not paying XXXX XXXX XXXX and therefore getting me dropped from their service. The money was there. I will not accept this change due to the irresponsibility of a company that should be taking care of me! But of course, is very punctual when it comes to requests of getting paid.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was bought by Nationstar Mortgage. In fact, in XX/XX/XXXX, I almost paid my mortgage to XXXX because the alert that mine had been purchased came when I already had a bill to pay XXXX rather than the new owner. I had already written my check when I noticed that Nationstar was not announcing that my new owner wanted payment when the switch was complete, but instead, I needed to switch NOW. A very shady conversion and shoddy timing an unfair amount of time for the consumer to adjust. I sent my payment in XX/XX/XXXX and my check was cashed on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I just opened my new statement and my XXXX XXXX payment was not noted on the Nationstar statement for XXXX. My new bill said that I am a month behind. I owe a penalty and the last payment and the new payment. Again, shoddy timing on their part. I called to see why I got this bill since I can prove that my mortgage payment check was cashed on XXXX XXXX, well within their 15 day requirement. In other words, their new statement for XXXX was sent on XXXX XXXX, interestingly, the same day they cashed my check. My check was not late. In my phone call I confirmed that a payment for the first of the month is not late unless it is after the XXXX of the month. I have never been late on any mortgage payment for more than 30 years. This mortgage is on property that I still own because of the crash in XXXX. I live in Ohio but I have not been able to sell the property in question because of a depressed market that has never fully recovered. I am upside down if I try to sell it so I keep it and rent it out. I want this corrected. I want everyone to know about the timing of this crooked mortgage company.
