Consumer Complaint: My mortgage is currently held by Nationstar Mortgage. I have a 30yr FHA loan. About a month ago I received an unsolicited phone call from Nationstar offering refinance options. In the process of discussing that, their representative discovered that based on the amount of time I have had my loan, the fact that I had missed no payments, and my loan to value ratio, I no longer needed to be paying mortgage insurance. I have no idea how long I have been needlessly paying MI, and Nationstar certainly did n't offer to tell me, or to refund the unnecessary payments. Had I not happened to have this phone conversation I NEVER would have realized that I no longer needed the insurance. I foolishly assumed it would stop being charged when my loan to value ratio reached the threshold. When I did a XXXX search about this issue, I came to find this is an industry-wide problem, and one of the articles I read led me to the CFPB web site. So at this point I 'm assuming I 'm just going to have to take this one on the chin, but this company has provided me with such horrible service in general I felt moved to file a formal complaint about having been truly XXXX out of money for insurance that I did n't need.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Re : Loan # XXXX This complaint is against Nationstar Mortgage because I successfully modified my current mortgage and I am not accepting the terms due to atrocious numbers. Foreclosure has begun. Approved for HAMP Tier II Denied for HAMP Tier I I have been using the XXXX XXXX XXXX for advice : I went to my court appointed hearing and XXXX District Court Judge XXXX would not help me with forcing restructuring of numbers. My current loan is XXXX at 10.8 % interest for 30 years. Nationstar took over my mortgage from XXXX XXXX XXXX which took over from XXXX XXXX. The HAMP Tier II is for {$100000.00} 40 years at 3.75 % interest with balloon at end {$35000.00} My property value is {$40000.00} I live at property and maintain and upgrade constantly. It is my hope that we as AMERICAN CITIZENS do not allow these banks to bully us around. They are trying to take over our properties and therefore ultimately take over AMERICA. If possible I would like the State of XXXX and US Government to intervene on my behalf and structure a FAIR mortgage for me. This will prove to the banks who writes the laws and enforces them. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: We had a loan modification done with Nationstar Mortgage to lower our payments, change to a fixed rate and avoid a foreclosure. But in the long run our payments went up and our mortgage was extended 10 years. Also, I did not receive a copy of the modification.

Consumer Complaint: I have had my mortgage with Nationstar since XX/XX/XXXX. My ORIGINAL Loan Documents and Escrow Agreement designated Property Taxes only. Twice since I took this loan out, I was given notice of forced placed insurance when I had provided SEVERAL times proof of current homeowners insurance. Each time I was told that the problem had been corrected. Today, XXXX XXXX, I noticed that my escrow account was shorted {$530.00} on XXXX to pay my Homeowners Insurance. I never authorized this and my homeowner 's policy for XXXX was PAID IN FULL BY ME ON XXXX XXXX. I contacted Nationstar to ask them why they suddenly began deducting money and they had no answer. This not only breaches my loan agreement but shorts my escrow account by XXXX which will now INCREASE MY PAYMENTS. This is WRONG.

Consumer Complaint: My current mortgage servicer Nationstar is refusing to consider retention options, open a review, look at my paperwork or even talk to me about saving my house. They claim that the investor who owns my loan is private ( I have asked who owns my loan and they refuse to tell me XXXX and they say that this investor wo n't consider any type of retention options under any type of circumstances, it ca n't even be discussed!! Nationstar received over {$500.00} XXXX in bailout funds from the government and I know there are state and federal consumer protections in place for distressed homeowners, especially those who are victims of discrimination and bias based on ethnicity. I bought my home in XX/XX/2005 and was convinced and steered into a predatory adjustable rate loan through notorious sub prime lender XXXX and XXXX. My interest rate stated at XXXX and could never go down, it could only go up and it could go as high as XXXX I had no idea that my payment would start adjusting upwards and would eventually increase nearly {$500.00}. I believe that I was taken advantage of at origination because of my ethnicity, I am XXXX. I know that it was common practice at that time to steer XXXX XXXX and XXXX borrowers into high risk, high rate loans in order to generate additional fees and commissions. I had excellent credit at the time and a XXXX down payment. I believe that XXXX and the loan agents intentionally put me into a predatory loan. This is relevant now because I am facing foreclosure. My loan has been transferred and sold several times and the current lender is Nationstar. I fell behind on the loan due to the huge increase in my monthly payment as well as being laid off from my job. When this occurred my loan was still with XXXX. I tried on multiple occasions to engage them to apply for help through government programs. I was once again gainfully employed and making good money and did a phone interview and was told that I definitely qualify. I applied multiple times but could never gain any traction. The loan went to XXXX and I ran into the same brick wall. More recently I have been dealing with my current servicer Nationstar. Nationstar refuses to open a file review, they refuse to look at my financial situation, they refuse to consider any type of retention options, they refuse to assign a single point of contact they refuse to even have a discussion about my loan and situation. They have told me that this loan is owned and controlled by a private investor ( still wo n't tell me who it is ) and that they will not consider ANY options, repayment plan, forbearance agreement, deferred principal, modification, etc. I make enough money to afford a reasonable payment. A big part of the reason that I am in this mess is because of the bad loan that I was sold when I bought my home. I was not aware that the interest rate would go up and that it was not possible for it to go down. I was sold a bill of goods due to my ethnicity and now I am in danger of losing my house. And the worst part of it is the company that owns this XXXX loan, the " private investor '' knows how bad this loan is and they smugly sit by in their XXXX XXXX XXXX and refuse to even CONSIDER helping me or working with me.

Consumer Complaint: I have refinanced a second mortgage through XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX My previous holder was NationStar at 11.5 %. This asset transfer was completed around XXXX/XXXX/16. NationStar, XXXX XXXX, confirmed with me yesterday, XXXX/XXXX/16, that they have received payment in full and would send me confirmation. I received an email from XXXX, ( That had a no reply hold of email reply ) that there was a balance of around {$270.00}, after she confirmed the balance was confirmed as paid in FULL. I am in the process of other refi 's that can not continue until we have confirmation of this loan payoff. I was very upset that NationStar did provide documents that this loan with them was paid off as per XXXX. When I spoke to XXXX today, XXXX/XXXX/16, as I was upset, she hung up on me. All I want is to have NationStar agree in writing that my loan with them is paid in full. It is very simple. They have their money. Please send confirmation. XXXX email has a no response lock on her email. They are worse than XXXX. XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage company has increased my monthly payment from {$800.00} to {$960.00}, with out notice. Claiming this is due to a shortfall in our escrow, and an increase in our insurance premium. There has never been a shortfall in our escrow, and our insurance premium has not changed since before Nationstar acquired our mortgage. I have confirmed this with my insurance company. Also Nationstar overpaid our insurance premium, and will not acknowledge that the insurance is anything other than what they have stated, which is increased by 15 %. When contacted about the issue, I have received several answers to the reasons behind the increase, 1 ) our taxes were reassessed, and the tax rate has been increased, 2 ) there was a shortfall in our escrow account, 3 ) our insurance premium has increased. 1 ) My Tax rate has not gone up since the house was built, 2 ) there was never a shortfall in the escrow account before Nationstar became our mortgage servicer, 3 ) our insurance premium has not increased since we bought the house, it has decreased. I also never received anything from Nationstar letting me know that they had purchased my mortgage, I had to contact my previous provider to find out how to pay my mortgage.
