Consumer Complaint: My mother 's reverse mortgage was sold from XXXX to Champion Mortgage company. Before Champion we paid our property taxes quarterly. Champion mortgage company insisted that we pay for the full year paying the property taxes upfront. We told them that we could n't afford to do that. Champion said they would pay the taxes upfront for the year and we would pay them back. We continued this process until they said my mother had reached her threshold and they could n't help us anymore. The mortgage was put in default. The mortgage company sent us a hardship form so we could request assistance to help us with the taxes and insurance and said it needed to be approved by XXXX. After several attempts to get some answers we were told told it was still in a processing state. We never received a response. I then contacted a XXXX counselor. spending about a hour going through their application/ check list process. The counselor had a list of less resources than I had. I had already contacted the programs she suggested. I contacted the XXXX, XXXX XXXX for Older Adults, XXXX, and many others. We are now in foreclosure. We need help. We have lived here for 49 years. My mother is XXXX XXXX XXXX with multiple medical conditions including XXXX. She receives XXXX, I am on XXXX XXXX and I have a XXXX daughter here with us. We did everything we were told to do to prevent this from happening. Since this mortgage is about XXXX XXXX XXXX, we have seemed to run out of options. There is no more equity and the monthly insurance, maintenance, other fees have eaten up the money. The mortgage is double what the house is worth. We ca n't find any help. Champion Mortgage and Nationstar Mortgage have a long history of abuse and taking seniors homes. Hundreds of complaints can be found via the internet, BBB, Consumer complaint websites etc.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar LLC has failed to respond to my pertinent questions of them, that only Nationstar, as the servicer for XXXX XXXX 's mortgage with myself, can correctly answer in writing to me. I have been working on these Nationstar issues, since XX/XX/XXXX. Over the past year, I have contacted Nationstar FIFTEEN ( 15 ) more times by email since that first one noted above. Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage has repeatedly reported late payments on a mortgage that clearly ( and repeatedly ) has been shown to not have late payments. Our most recent efforts to correct this began back on XXXX XXXX, 2016 and have been met with nothing but automatic email responses telling us : " Please be advised we have received your email and are currently reviewing your request. You will receive an email response once the review is complete. '' This is unacceptable! A phone call today seems to have resulted in an escalation, but this has happened before without permanent solutions with them.

Consumer Complaint: About XX/XX/2002 we took out a Reverse mortgage thinking it would be of benefit to us. However since that time our loan has been passed from one financial institution to another, to another, to another, XXXX being one of them. These companies have charged us very high rates, and put enforced insurances on our property, to the point now where we have very little equity in our home. We need to downsize due to health problem and age but do not know if we can do it because we have been robbed, we feel. I think this Reverse mortgage thing is a big scam placed on older people. We had to retire early due to severe health problems and now are in dire circumstances. Is there anything that can be done? Or is there any way we can get out of this? Please help us if you can. Thank you. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, This is a complaint about Nationstar Mortgage ( their website is mynationstar.com XXXX : # XXXX ). This company failed to inform me about my escrow found increase for the month of XXXX. On XXXX XXXX they received my XXXX mortgage payment that was short of {$39.00}. This organization sends me advertising emails weekly and even thru XXXX!!!!? But when it came to important info they failed to contact me. I received a phone call from them around XXXX XXXX informing me that my payment was short. I explained to their representative that I was not aware of the issue and the rep waved the late fees since I was always paying on time as long as I sand remaining payment immediately. ( This info is easy to check since they say that they record all the phone calls ). As I promised I sent them a remaining payment of {$40.00} ( I rounded up the required {$39.00} ) that was received on XXXX. On XXXX XXXX they received my new and increased XXXX mortgage payment of {$2500.00}. Last week I received call from Nationstar saying that I 'm " late again.. '' (!!!!? ). The rep told me that since my XXXX payment was short their " system allocated it in a principal payment and I still owe them regular payment ''. I explained my conversation with them in XXXX on XXXX XXXX payment of {$2500.00} was received and I got bill in a mail for 2 months plus fees of {$69.00}. It seems to me that it could be new way for banks to try to reposes homes from FHA home owner like me. Take a payment, blame computer system on misallocating it, put extra financial burden on home owner, reposes the home and split bonuses for a great banking work!!! Can some one help me with this problem? Thank you

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, I am writing this complaint in an effort to get help with an unethical foreclosure attempt. Over the past several months, I have made many attempts to contact Nationstar Mortgage Company to resolve any and all arrears and to bring my mortgage loan out of default. However, they have continually refused my payments. Each Nationstar representative that I have spoken with has stated, " The company needs to do a loan revaluation to provide me with an 'accurate ' figure for payment and reinstatement of my loan. '' I have yet to receive said figure or any contact from Nationstar Mortgage. Other than, my normal monthly statement. Which raises another point, I have brought it to the attention of Nationstar Mortgage that there is an $ XXXX+ discrepancy in the amount of money that is stated on my monthly statement and what the Nationstar representative told me was an 'estimated ' figure of arrears. To date, I still have not received any accurate data on what is owed nor has Nationstar contacted me with reinstatement information. I would like to add, it is common knowledge that the longer the mortgage company takes to give me reinstatement information and figures, the amount of money owed and the accruing interest grows astronomically. Another troubling issue, for the past few months, I have been receiving 'Notice of Default ' letters from a company called, " XXXX . '' To which, Nationstar Mortgage has denied any knowledge of or involvement with. When I called the Nationstar Mortgage to address the Default letters, I was told, " The letters must have come from a third party. '' Though, the Nationstar representative did inform me that I was definitely in default. However, I have never received any 'Notice of Default ' or 'Foreclosure ' correspondence from Nationstar Mortgage. Additionally, It has come to my attention that Nationstar has secretly raised the interest rate on my 'FIXED ' mortgage loan from 2 % to approximately 8 %. This was also done, without my knowledge or ANY prior written notification. I am formerly requesting that Nationstar Mortgage Company use ethical business practices, respond to the above complaints and the following requests : 1 ) Contact me promptly with an accurate payment figure ( minus any overages ) for reinstatement of my loan, bringing my loan current and out of default. 2 ) Provide me with all letters of Foreclosure and/or Notices of Default. 3 ) Provide a copy of the original Promissory Note that acknowledges Nationstar Mortgage as the legal lender. 4 ) Give good cause as to why the company has raised the interest rate on a 'Fixed ' rate mortgage loan and show a detailed account of any corrections from the date of change. I have repeatedly tried, in good faith, to resolve my loan arrears. I would like to add that I have several people who are dependent upon the shelter my home provides -- my son, his fianc, my grand-daughter, grandson and his fianc, as well as my great grandson. XXXX. I am not looking for sympathy, only fairness and the chance to save my home that my family has lived in for over 50 years. Additionally, It would put my family in a grave hardship, if we were to lose our home to unethical business practices. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage Company purchase my home loan approximately six months ago. My monthly payment is supposed to be {$1700.00} per month by contract. However, Nationstar constantly charges a late fee of {$10.00} when the payment is not in fact late. This is almost a monthly occurrence. The latest incident is for my XXXX 2017 payment in which Nationstar charged this {$10.00} late fee, but no details " why '' any payment was allegedly late. The XXXX 2017 mortgage payment was received by Nationstar on XXXX XXXX. I can only imagine how much money Nationstar has collected from other customers who did not question their alleged " late charge '' that was not in fact late.

Consumer Complaint: When our loan was bought ( from XXXX ) by Nationstar Mortgage ( in XXXX of 2016 ) it was mistakenly transferred as an Escrow Loan. Somebody must have ticked the wrong box. Our loan was written from the beginning and is a NON Escrow loan. They also said we had a lapse on insurance coverage which we did n't. By XXXX of 2016 they were claiming that we owed them XXXX of dollars in Escrow and they started the collections calls. We have repeatedly called in conference with our homeowners insurance agent and with our mortgage broker and have provided Nationstar with all the necessary documents : CLOSING DISCLOSURE and INSURANCE CERTIFICATE which clearly show that we do n't owe any money in ESCROW because No 1 ) this was a NON ESCROW loan to begin with AND No 2 ) because we have fully paid our homeowners insurance for the year, PLUS we have FULLY paid our taxes for the year. The collections calls continued. Looks like the collections department, their insurance department and their escrow department not only have different XXXX numbers but they must be on different continents or maybe on a different PLANET!!! Makes you wonder! To make a long story LONGER, after 5 conference calls numerous other calls and 3 months that we have been trying to resolve this issue Nationstar Mortgage sent us a letter dated XXXX XXXX with a research reference number, saying that the matter is being investigated. They also assured us over the phone that the matter would be taken care of and that they had all necessary documentation at this point. A few days ago we started getting the collections calls again at a regular basis, which in Nationstar fashion means every single hour of every single day, literally! Those calls must be robot generated but the human being at the end of the line if you answer the call, is far from human, as I said, probably planetary and galactic migration is a fact for this Mortgage company. I just called them this afternoon again and after 15 minutes with all the preliminary stuff, which is typical, and 20 minutes on hold because the " agent '' aka XXXX aka XXXX, was looking for the loan and then she was looking for the notes and then was verifying everything over and over, and making sure that I know that this call is being monitored and recorded for quality assurance purposes, and this is an attempt to collect a debt, she told me that the RESEARCH REFERENCE number that I gave her ( which was on the letter that they sent me ) was the WRONG number, but that she had found in the notes that " our request was rejected BUT that our claim was PENDING ''!!! WHAAAAATTTT?????? Help! Please! Someone? Anyone? Nationstar Mortgage SHOULD NOT EXIST AS A COMPANY ... not a mortgage company! As a company at all!!!
