Consumer Complaint: This is a classic case of a newly acquired apartment complex remodeling a unit and attempting to charge the prior resident. I was paying hundreds below market rent because it wasnt an upgraded unit. This is why after 4 years of excellent tenancy, they suddenly didnt renew my lease, and refused to explain why. Upon move out XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, I did a walkthrough with " XXXXXXXX XXXX '', the office manager and a maintenance crew man. At that time, I was not given anything to sign in regard to responsibilities to move out costs. I handed her my keys and then I was emailed an excel spreadsheet of alleged charges. Immediately upon receipt, I began disputing the carpeting, some of the cleaning charges, and the painting. I attempted to work with " apartment complex '' after I moved. I left a forwarding address with " XXXX XXXX '' the complex manager. They would not discuss it with me. I left a message on XX/XX/XXXX, stating I would start making payments however I wanted to discuss the charges first before beginning payments on what I did not owe, because they could not charge me for monsoon damage and for something I had been requesting to get done for two years. I heard nothing back. There was contact again around end of XX/XX/XXXX. I agreed to go in and discuss, however I was advised that any and all communication needs to be in writing. So, as you can see from the screenshot of the e-mail from XX/XX/XXXX, that I requested communication be via e-mail. I waited for a reply however, that never happened. The next communication I receive is from National Credit Services. I did make two phone calls to the debt collector in XXXX of XXXX attempting to discuss charges that were not mine. I had agreed to send in the documents I had. But then I contacted an attorney through XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX who advised me to no longer speak with the debt collector directly until further notice, nor send any of my documents, including video footage upon move out. Arizona tenant law states that I can not be charged for painting after four years of tenancy, even in the event my walls were dirty. But they were not and clearly by the video. The letter to National Credit Systems states that I have verified proof that I continued to ask for the carpeting/flooring to be replaced due to monsoon damage, while I was a resident. The attorney also states that maintenance and management failed to do their due diligence to make repairs while I was a tenant. The letter that is included, from the attorney to National Credit Systems, specifically states that they need to send specific documents including any signature documentation of me claiming responsibility for these charges within 30 days. National Credit Systems failed to do so within the 30 days. There was no signature by me. Per the attorney, they must cease and desist all collection attempts including reporting to the credit bureaus. I filed disputes with all three credit bureaus on XX/XX/XXXX with the letter from the attorney, and my removal request was denied stating the debt is valid and updated. The debt collector did not comply with the attorneys request furthermore, the " apartment complex '' violated the lease agreement when refusing to repair while I was a tenant and charged me for items that by law can not be charged. I need this matter resolved and removed from my credit.

Consumer Complaint: Dates that I have been disputing the charges and balances myself. And I also have a collection repair company helping. And they started sending letters to National Credit System on XXXX. XXXX XXXX which is the original creditor. Misinformed this third-party collection agency National Credit Systems . I'm not sure exactly what was communicated between XXXX XXXX and National Credit Systems when it comes to the balance that I owe. I informed XXXX XXXX that I was moving out on XX/XX/XXXX. As I was moving out the manager XXXX was kind of upset that I was moving out He was giving me a hard time today that I was moving out and from the movers. even though I gave them a 60-day notice the day that I was going to be moving out which is required based on the lease agreement. On the day that I moved out, I gave the least assistant manager the keys to the apartment that was moving out on. So, I don't understand why I am getting charged for the whole month of rent if I didn't stay a whole month based on my agreement of moving out. This is why the National Credit system is charging me more than what I was supposed to be charged with XXXX XXXX already collected by keeping my security deposit. If my rent was {$930.00} a month how did it get to the amount that they're trying to charge and they're trying to charge me for the whole month 's trash, I don't know what the misc charges are and utilities. Where I pay my own utilities, I'm not sure where that's coming from. And on top of that National Credit Systems, I also sent some named XXXX XXXX acct number XXXX address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX GA XXXX along with my mail in my letter envelope had someone else 's collection letter saying that they owe a debt. When I spoke to the collections representative XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and I'll let her know she didn't seem to be bothered and she did not care. And she was not willing to work with me today regarding this collection balance due to me. I let some codes here. Consumer Complaint: I have reached out to all parties involved asking for supportive documentation, showing where this debt came from. They refuse to help and state things such as it is verified even though I KNOW its not my debt! I should not be held accountable for things that are not my own actions! I have mentioned multiple times that I live at one address and will only reside there. Ive never needed to move from my permanent address. Upon reaching out to National Credit Systems they wanted to negotiate a small fee in exchange to remove something that isnt mine. I am needing help here! Ive also sent certified letters stating such. Ive even went as far as to provide a police report from XX/XX/2018. Which was the day XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Not even a year later my identity was used!! Please help me sue this company!!

Consumer Complaint: I lived in an apartment complex in XXXX and XXXX I was told I was removed from the lease. In XXXX I applied for an apartment and they told me I was denied due to an outstanding balance owed to my old property. I had no knowledge of this debt owed, and when I called the new owners of XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they informed me they had no information and I needed to call the previous owners. When I called the previous owners they let me know they no longer owned the debt the new company did. I went back and forth for days about what I needed to do. Finally 2 weeks later I received a letter from National Credit Systems letting me know I owed a debt and they needed more information from me. Working in the XXXX XXXX I know we are required to show prior notice before we send things to collections and that collections is supposed to reach out to us. I did not hear anything until I reached out to them. They refuse to discuss the debt with me until I give them my social, phone, address, dob, full name. I do know these tactics and I will not give them all my information.

Consumer Complaint: NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEMS is attempting to collect a fraudulent amount of {$710.00} which XXXX XXXX the Original creditor Opened XX/XX/2022 as a matter of retaliation. XXXX attempted to evict me due to a pet deposit that she wasnt owed. XXXX became the owner of a property I was renting and only had 3 months left in the lease at the time. We took it to court and the judge granted in my favor of no eviction and no pet deposit paid to her. I was also able to leave the house two weeks early. At that time XXXX did a walk through with me and never reported any damages or fees owed. By law she was supposed to send me proof of debt within 30 days and never did she she violated state and federal laws by sending this to a collection company without me even knowing. I reached out to the leasing company for proof of damages from when I first moved in and also I reached out to the company directly and advised them of this exact information and also stated if they needed I can get court documents. They told me the charges was valid due to XXXX sending in pictures of damages which I let them know could have been from any of the units XXXX own or she could have done that out of spite to collect money and I have no knowledge of any of this. The declined to help me so I have reported it. XXXX has also kept my deposit and added the fees of {$710.00} to my credit which is way outside of any damages or cleaning fees shes requesting. I would like for these fraudulent charges to be removed from my credit reporting.
