Consumer Complaint: I was afforded the opportunity to lease a XXXX bedroom XXXX bathroom apartment at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. My lease was ending so I went to speak with the leasing manager XXXX XXXX about the bad conditions of my unit and possibly moving to a new unit when I sign my lease, She informed me that the rent will increase XXXX dollars if I resign my lease and that to move units I will have to pay {$500.00}. After, she provided me that information, I informed her I will be moving out and my lease ends XX/XX/XXXX. She provided me a paper and told me to write a notice of intent to move. I signed and dated the letter. I told her my lease is up XX/XX/XXXX and I want to know what I need to do to get my deposit back. She said just clean up the unit, make sure nothings left behind and once we receive the keys I will inspect the unit. I asked her if it will be ok for me to turn the keys in Saturday XX/XX/XXXX. She stated that is fine. XX/XX/XXXX after moving my apartment the day before with my family, I returned with my family and we finished cleaning the unit. We went to the leasing office to do the move out inspection and they were closed. So my mother provided me an envelope to put the keys in, instructed me to write my unit number/ name/ date/ attn to : XXXX XXXX XXXX. I completed the task and my mother dropped of the key. The following Monday- Thursday I called the apartment complex in between work to get confirmation they received the key and left numerous voicemails. The following week I did the ssme thing until finally I spoke with XXXX and she confirmed they receivedthe keys the prior week and I had to wait until they got to my unit to do a move out inspection. I aksed if she had a timeframe of when it will be completed. She said she did not know but she will call me once they have completed the inspection and she doubted I was getting my security deposit back. I rebutteled and asked her, if you haven't inspected my unit, how would you know I am not getting my deposit back? She then stated, well because I know because I walked the unit. So, I restated to her what she informed me of and then followed up with when will I get the statement of the charges because I will be disputing and Im going to file a complaint with the Attorney General. My unit was left better than when I moved in. So, then I get a notice from National Credit System stating they are collecting XXXX in damages and unit abandonment charges. I call the collection agency and asked for a copy of the itemized list of the damages that I never received and was provided an email. They never provide me the itemized list of the damages they are applying to my credit or any proof of these charges. She provided me a website to dispute the charges. I waited for the email and it never came. In XXXX my mother loaned me her vehicle and I went to the XXXX XXXX XXXX office to obtain proof of the damage, the rental abandonment, and an itemized list of the charges. The leasing agent was unable to provide me the itemized list but she provided me a ledger. It states that on XX/XX/XXXX they charges me {$450.00} for rent, what? Wow, never knew or was informed that I would be charged for returning my key XX/XX/XXXX XXXX for a day. Then XX/XX/XXXX they list damages in the amount of {$3400.00} This colelction has financially impacted my family and I have file a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas and I am moving to the XXXX XXXX XXXX next. I am not a victim or an XXXX XXXX woman. I know my rights and I know when you treat people good favor always follows.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX I received a letter stating that I owed on a student complex called " XXXX '' APARTMENTS out of XXXX, FL saying I owed them nearly {$8000.00} for the lease agreement. I applied to their place of business they approved me and the very next day they denied me I still have all the letters. So I moved on with my life thinking that everything was fine until a year later it showed up on my credit report nobody contacted me since the last time we had spoken the year before. I have called them which is under new management now and nobody has an answer to give. Just takes down my number and say we will have someone contact you. And they never get back. I do not know what conspired I just know it is making it almost impossible to get approved for anywhere to sleep with this issue being unresolved. It is a debt that I do not owe because I didn't create it.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by XXXX XXXX around XXXX to XXXX of 2023, prior to being inform by my prior leasing office of where to pay my collections to. After receiving a letter of confirmation about my debt from XXXX XXXX and my leasing office confirming that was the company they use, I set up to submit payments to XXXX XXXX. My debt is over {$3000.00}. Ive received a letter from National Credit System , Inc. on XX/XX/2023 for the amount of XXXX. I am very aware under Section 807 of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. To me, the letter I received is misleading as I dont have the original copy where I agreed to the debt that is being listed. I also have been called more often by scam likely caller posing as debt collectors which is why I asked for all information in writing.

Consumer Complaint: The apartment I was renting from, tried to sue me. We went to court, the judge listened to testimony and reviewed evidence. The judge ruled in my favor that I do not owe this company any money. That company then sent it to the credit agency, after I won the law suit. I made a dispute to collections agency, as well as through XXXX and XXXX. The credit agency asked me to send proof. I mailed them a copy of the judges ruling. They refuse to remove the debt from my credit report. Instead of removing it from my report, they have tried to reduce the amount and convince me to still pay it. I provided them with a copy of the court memo, showing the ruling. I also filed a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General 's Office. They company has refused to respond to the Attorney General. When I submitted the court memo to the credit agency told me she would not accept it because it was hand written, I explained that the reason it is hand written is because the court clerk has hands. I then sent in screenshot from the Missouri Courts Judicial Branch of Governments, and I expressed the judge 's decision was public record. They then sent me a letter saying I still have not provided them with sufficient evidence. I also sent them a copy of the court petition, outlying what the company was suing me for along with highlights of the amounts, all of which the judge ruled in my favor, and agreed I did not owe. I also informed them that the apartment complex sent them my information, AFTER we had already gone to court.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXXXXXX XXXX, I applied for housing at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Al XXXX They were running a special, {$0.00} application fee and 50 % off of first months rent! After applying, I never received an acceptance or denial letter. Fast forward to XXXXXXXX I disputed the collections but was unsuccessful. Today XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX I reached out to the collections agency and they informed me that I had to provide my debt card information for them to assist me with the details of the collections, I DECLINED! I then reach out to XXXX XXXX and spoke with a nice gentleman that explained to me that during that time the person working there didnt apply the correct code or waive the application fee, so I was charged! He did say because it was already sent to collections, he couldnt fix it on his end! The reason I never received any correspondence from XXXX XXXX or the collections agency is because they had my physical address and not my mailing address! I dont think I should be penalized for the mistake of XXXX XXXX employee!
