Consumer Complaint: My significant other and I moved out of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I was told by XXXX in which I would receive a final list of charges if any. We had not received any notice until XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding a balance owed on the account. I immediately called the company in reference to the matter. Not fully being aware of what the charges were for, I spoke with representative XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX was very nasty in the beginning of our phone call stating that the balance has already hit our credit and when we were going to pay. I resulted in a follow up call with the matter XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX to discuss payment options and possibly setting up a payment arrangement. XXXX XXXX was very aggressive on the phone call and over talked me every way possible. I have never endured such disrespect when handling a possible legal matter. XXXX XXXX refused to let me become aware of my options, and yelled for me to pay the balance in full. I will never deal with this company with any of my business matters. I do not trust the employee of this company. I spoke with supervisor XXXX and he alerted me the information that she gave was incorrect. I will be serving this company with a cease and desist letter stating that I do not want this company handling any business matters.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEMS of XXXX My boyfriend and i lived in XXXX XXXX and he lost his job as soon as we moved in so i came in to the office to make payment arrangements and cancel the lease so it wouldnt be on our credit reports after living there only XXXX3 months. The Property Manager then was very disorganized and wanted to have her hands in every affair but she never followed up on anything. I came at LEAST twice weekly after moving out abruptly so they rent it out to the next person to stop the bleeding of future continued payment. They had new renters in 3 days but the manager would never meet with us to discuss official process but I find they posted to our credit for non-payment. I CAME IN XXXX and XXXX for resolution but the manager was fired and they werent able to verify the debts as being mine. they even had bogus charge amounts and maintenance left defecation matter in the toilets and they never even fixed problems that existed before we even moved in. The electrical outlets needed fixed, the kitchen lights, the garbage disposal, floor tile and a couple other things since before we moved in they said they would have fixed before move in but never did. i even specified countless times for approved entry only when scheduled so someone could be there because we experienced apt staff stealing from tenants ' homes in their absence and they ONLY came when we specifically stated we werent going to be there saying they didnt find no problem and left msintenance slips in inconspicuous places like in the bedroom and closet. Since going in person in XXXX and XXXX and getting nowhere i filed a dispute with the credit bureau and everytime i gave information and proof they required me to furnish, they extended the creditor 30 new days but me only 10 days and never followed up. No one ever sent me anything from XXXX XXXX. THats why the credit bureaus say they 'll give them more time to respond. To this day i havent received anything from them. I came in to the office a few weeks ago and learned there was some kind of process that was supposed to be done that i had never even heard of that was not done.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX Another XXXX I lived in an apartment complex as a minor with a lease expiration near my XXXX birthday. I moved out and got my own place but my family remained in the unit. It was tax credit and under my uncle 's name so the kids could go finish and not change schools. Initially my mom applied and they told her her income was over the limit. She didnt even complete the application nor sign but they kept her application on file for 4 yrs with her social security number. When my uncle passed, my mom tried to finish off the lease payments but the new property management changes yearly and they said we had to move out because her income grossed too high. They went to court and the judge ordered the apts to return my mom 's rent money she had been paying since we were n't able to stay. They were trying to kick us out and keep month 's of rent at $ XXXX. Out of spite they ran bogus charges like {$100.00} to change a {$10.00} lock for example and many more until it added up to $ XXXX. They posted it to both my credit and mom 's credit history. I tried the credit bureaus to dispute and it 's been over 2 yrs and its still there. We got no 30-day dispute notification or anything. We found out by another apartment lease application. I called the original apt office who posted collections and got a new manager and she agreed to have it removed and send a letter to the new apts office but the leasing agent from before was still there and realized i was connected to that experience she had in court and squashed the resolution letter because of personal emotion that the judge sided with my mom in court. She was mad she had to return all the money and being a stickler for everything she could grab claws to and hadnt even verified the debt like requested but the credit bureau did not follow up like they were supposed to and kept extending them long grace periods for response which the creditor abused the system. When the lease ended I never signed anything to stay there. I had my own place. So here it is XXXX3 yrs later and i still have dispute under collections for my credit report. We spoke with other neighbors from the apt XXXX and they had similar experiences with XXXX kicking them out frivolously and posting to their credits.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam : The below collection agency has been calling me about a debt that I am disputing from an apartment that I moved out of at the end of my lease ( XX/XX/2014 ). The apartment is in New York XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I left my apartment on legal terms as I was supposed to at end of lease and left my new mailing address. I never received any mail or contact from XXXX XXXX at my new address advising that I had a debt to pay for apartment damages. I only received notification directly from this debt collector almost five months later ( enclosed ). The only evidence they sent me is an inspector 's checklist stating the damages, with no pictures. What rooms are the damages in? Even if they had shown pictures, this complex has XXXX residential buildings with XXXX apartments. It would be very easy for them to take pictures of any apartment. I know that I did not make these damages and I want to see pictures prior to me moving in as proof of damages. Also, as I explained to them, New York landlords can not charge for normal wear and tear, and these building are pre-war buildings from the 1950 's. My unit 's floors were original floors. XXXX also renovates EVERY apartment after a move-out so they increase the rent for the next renter. So it is my understanding that any " fix-ups '' needed would have already been done during a renovation. It is also my understanding that XXXX is very negligent to their renters. After receiving these charges from the debt collector, I received a 'Thank You ' card ( enclosed ) at my new address thanking me for renewing with XXXX. That shows me that they do not care for their residents to pay attention to the details and they did actually have my new address. They could have sent me these charges themselves so I could handle it directly with XXXX versus sending the charges directly to a debt collector. In fact, if anyone were to look at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX, they would see how much debt they are trying to recover. This is just another reason why I think they are just trying to pinch every penny they can out of their residents. The collection representative, XXXX XXXX, has called me multiple times now and continues to harass me and speak over me making it a very frustrating call. He will not give me details on how I can dispute or when they would send my debt to the Credit Bureau. He only says it could be at the end of the month but he does n't know. Consumer Complaint: Upon pulling my own credit report, I found out that I had an account in collections with National Credit Systems from a previous apartment complex. Upon contacting them, they were given no contact information at all to attempt to contact me. No phone numbers, no address, no reference phone numbers. Also no attempt was made by them to retrieve this information from the apartment, yet I am being told that this item can not be removed from my report because they made every attempt to contact me. What attempt was made? I contacted them as soon as I found out yet I am being penalized for their poor attempt at collections? I would like this issue addressed.

Consumer Complaint: The carpeting in our apartment was defective and improperly installed. We signed a lease renewal contingent on its repair. The apartments agreed to this and dispatched a repairman. The repairman caused further damage and was unable to repair. At move out inspection we were told it was not our fault and to not worry about it. The apartments turned around and put this into collections. The collections agency is hold my wife 's and my credit hostage to extort money from us for charges we do n't owe. Supporting documentation attached will help clarify our contentions. Thank you.
