Consumer Complaint: My previous place of residence never notified me of an outstanding balance I had with them by phone, mail or in person. When I moved out and turned my keys in to my landlord he told me everything was taken care of and never once did he mention anything about still owing the apartment {$400.00}. I was n't aware of any outstanding balance with my previous landlord until 6 months after I moved out when I received a letter in the mail from a collections agency telling me they were processing this account to be placed on my credit history. I tried contacting the apartment manager to discuss what this {$400.00} fe was for and was unable to reach him. I still do n't know why I owe this amount and never did i recieve my deposit back either. If I am unaware that I owe any amount of money and never notified what the fee was for how can I pay it before it goes to collections and ruins my credit preventing me from renting or finding residence anywhere else.

Consumer Complaint: NCS has failed to provide me with a dunning notice prior to inserting inaccurate negative information on all XXXX credit bureaus without notice and the only I found out was by VIA credit monitoring service. So when I finally realized I filed a dispute and also contacted NCS and original creditor XXXX to no avail, even though they were in violation FCRA and the Fair Debt Collection Practices they refused to acknowledge any wrongdoings.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, I terminated my lease 2 months early with XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TX. I followed all of the rules in the contracts, and addendum, regarding early termination. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX that they were trying to collect a debt of {$1300.00}. XXXX was charging me for a deposit due to early termination. I called and sent a letter requesting that they validate the debt. Their response was a copy of my lease with a letter that stated 'it was validated '. From there, I replied with a letter outlining the specifics of the lease and provided them with a copy of these and the early termination addendum asking them to correct the outstanding amount and validate the debt again. We went back and forth for two months. I had little success and their verbal response was to get a lawyer. Because the leasing company and debt collection agency were rude, not compliant and not providing an adequate response, I filed a complaint to the XXXX on XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a derogatory remark for {$1300.00} ( my balance was still being disputed with XXXX and National Credit Services ). On XXXX XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX that my balance was corrected to {$200.00} When I contacted XXXX and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX regarding the derogatory remark on my credit, they would not remove the remark from my credit report. Instead, they would show the balance as paid. National Credit Services and XXXX realty did not provide me with XXXX from the date the debt was validated to pay may balance before affecting my credit. The debt was not truly validated until XXXX which should allow me to pay the debt off by XX/XX/XXXX. When contacting XXXX and NCS regarding the above, they lack professionalism by hanging up with me, bullying me by talking over or saying they will disconnect the call if I 'm not calling to make a payment, and telling me that there is no way for this to be removed from my credit report. I have made many efforts and walked them through the process but have been unsuccessful with finding a resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I chose # XXXX because I did n't see an appropriate point under " False statements or representation. '' NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEMS , INC '' told me I had to pay the debt by giving them my CHECKING ACCOUNT NUMBER in order to " Protect your credit. '' And when I said I was n't giving them my acct number she said " Well, like I told you, giving me your checking account number is THE only way to protect your credit. '' I called within XXXX days and said I wanted a letter statin that if I XXXX they would contact the credit bureaus to say the debt was XXXX, and that I was going to send an official money order for the XXXX payment.
