Consumer Complaint: National Credit System is attempting to collect an invalid debt on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX as I am not responsible for the {$1700.00} that they claim I owe them. I was an employee of the XXXX XXXX and was on a month to month lease agreement therefore my rent was automatically taken from my check every time I was paid. When my employment terminated so did my lease and I was allowed 30 days to move from the apartments which I did. After I left employment with them and moved out I never received any letter from the apartments stating that I owed any type of balance so I was under the impression that we were in good standing. On XX/XX/XXXX I reviewed my XXXX credit report and noticed a third party collection from National Credit System on behalf of the apartments stating that I owe {$1700.00}. As I did not recognize the debt, have never been informed about the balance and have no knowledge what it could be for, I then sent a letter requesting debt validation directly to National Credit System on XX/XX/2018. I did not receive a response to my validation request and reviewed my credit report again on XX/XX/2018 and the account was still reflected on my credit profile and was not even updated to reflect that I was disputing the debt. On XX/XX/2018 I sent a dispute letter directly to XXXX stating that I had previously requested debt validation from the agency which they failed to provide within 30 days of my request according to FCRA 611 ( a ) [ 15USC168li ( a ) ] .I also indicated that the agency also failed to update the account to reflect a disputed status. I did not receive a response to my direct dispute with XXXX and on XX/XX/2018 I pulled my credit report again and found that although the account status was updated to reflect that it was in dispute ; I still have not received validation for this account and still do not know what the charges are for. At this time I would like this erroneous entry to be completely removed due to gross negligence from both National Credit System and XXXX in attempting to provide evidence that this debt is valid and accurate and belongs to me.

Consumer Complaint: There is a debt on my credit report from a company who owned and rented an apartment to my ex boyfriend. I was only ever a roommate. I moved out of the apartment and for at least 4-5 months him and his wife were living there. Well the ended up being evicted and now the debt they owe is on my credit report. The manager knew I had moved and was no longer staying there. It's over a 2400 $ debt that I had no knowledge of and was not living there to acquire.

Consumer Complaint: This company began contacting me in XX/XX/2018. Around XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX XXXX and was informed that they were attempting to collect $ 2500+ on behalf of the Registry at XXXX XXXX in XXXX TN. I immediately informed her that the balance was nearly {$1500.00} over what is owed to them and explained why. She cut me off repeatedly and asked for my email address saying she would have to send my information to her dispute department. In informed her that I had email communication between myself and the apartment complex and asked her where could I send my dispute but she refused to provide contact information. Approximately a week later I called back and informed her that I had not received an email. She then asked for my email address and mailing address but still did not provide dispute instructions. Over a month later I had not received anything. I called her on XX/XX/XXXX and she told me that they sent an email on XX/XX/XXXX that had likely gone to my junk mail, and that is where I found it. The balance was adjusted to {$1600.00}. Once again I asked how to disputed the balance but she refused that information. I asked for a supervisor and was transferred to a voicemail box. I left a message but was never called back. I called today and spoke with someone named XXXX (?? ) and expressed my concerns. She took some information down and said that she would go back to the apartment complex but once again failed to outline a dispute process. They are threatening to report the debt on my credit report and rental history on XX/XX/XXXX if I dont give them money. They have not sent any debt validation and continue to refuse to outline a dispute process. I feel as though my rights are being violated. They are asking me to pay them but saying that they are still going to report the unpaid disputed portion on my credit report. I will pay what I owe but they need to give me a fair and honest way to dispute the portion that I do not owe.
