Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Problem with personal statement of dispute
Consumer Complaint: This dad was from an apartment complex. I cleaned up the apartment and turned in the Keys. But the management stated that the month that I left was too early but that was the end of my lease. So now she stays day I owe for late fees and also the month then I left and also it's called getting out of your lease early. Also the apartment complex charges for late fees even when they have taken your money and that is not legal. I have spoken with the management regarding this problem and had no communication from them to solve this matter.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I received notice of a collection filed against me by National Credit Systems for unpaid rent at XXXX XXXX apartments. I immediately started a dispute with XXXX the same day. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted National Credit Systems and spoke to XXXX XXXX the agent on the account. I was informed that a dispute packet would be sent via mail to my address. While waiting for the packet, I filed both a FTC report and a police report in preparation for completing the packet. After nearly two weeks, no packet arrived, so I went ahead and sent in a copy of my FTC report, police report, and a copy of my drivers license to both XXXX and National Credit Systems with a letter informing both parties that I had never lived outside of Texas and wished to dispute the collection. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received notice from XXXX that the dispute was resolved and was informed that National Credit Systems denied my dispute and claimed the information was accurate. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX at National Credit Systems again to attempt to figure out why the dispute was denied and was told that they would not process my documents because I did not complete the packet. When I told her the packet had not arrived, she told me that I could find it online at identitytheft.gov. When I could not locate the packet on the website, I called the FTC help desk and was told that the packet did not exist, that the only thing I could do on the website was file a FTC report, and that I should call National Credit Systems back and ask to speak to a supervisor. When I called National Credit Systems back to talk to XXXX XXXX again, I was told that she had already made special accommodations for me by giving me the website information, that I just couldnt find the packet ( despite my telling her that the FTC help desk said it didnt exist ), and was finally forwarded to her supervisor where I left my name and number after my call was not picked up. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, my call still has not been returned and this collection is still on my credit report despite all this.

Consumer Complaint: National Credit System - XXXX - is reporting on my credit report for an account that was erroneous and already paid through my deposit. This should have never went to collections and I am currently in the process of taking them to court. It is paid already but it was sent in error and I am still fighting it with the original creditor as they are known for this type of practice

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems Inc is reporting inaccurate information my XXXX & XXXX credit report after several attempts to address the inaccuracy. I asked the National Credit Systems if they reviewed the documents that were sent to me about the debt and they said they understood the discrepancy but they are not required to verify information, they just send the information to the Credit Bureaus to satisfy the request. National Credit Systems told me to contact initial creditor for inaccuracies, the original creditor sent my requests back to collection agency. XXXX representative refused to enforce my legal rights of reporting incorrect information to my credit profile and agreed with the illegal practices of National Credit Systems.
