Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: I have been a victim of identity theft for the past several months. Ever since I first noticed it I have been getting monthly credit reports so that way I can assure no new accounts are being reported to any of the credit agencies. In XX/XX/2020 I noticed this new account. I immediately notified the company by letter that I have been a victim of identity theft and provided identification as well as my Identity Theft report. I asked the company to stop reporting this fraudulent information and to investigate the account. I asked for proof of the steps they would be taking. After 30 days I did not receive any correspondence from the company. In XX/XX/2020 I got a new report and the information was still being reported. I again sent another letter to them notifying them that the account was opened fraudulently. Again I have not heard any correspondence. Since it has been 60 days since the first communication I'm asking for assistance. I have attached both packets that I sent to the company as proof, a copy of my ssn card, a copy of my driver 's license, and a copy of my current identity theft report.

I'm asking this agency to intervene and remedy this situation immediately. Sincerely XXXX XXXX XXXX

Issue: False statements or representation
Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from the collection agency, National Credit Systems, 6 months after my family and I moved out of XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. They charged us in the amount of {$600.00} for cleaning 3 bedrooms, and damages. My wife and I own our own cleaning business, we made sure the whole house was spotless, the {$150.00} was unnecessary for cleaning and I have pictures to prove. Sheetrock Repair ( {$250.00} ) : this was caused from water leakage in the kitchen, and the maintenance crew at XXXX XXXX XXXX took too long to come and fix the leak. Also, in my contract from XXXX I had a security deposit of {$300.00}, and my renewal contract after that the security deposit went down to {$170.00}. I am unsure what happened to the {$120.00}, and when I asked the Property Manager she said she would look in to it, and never got back with us.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, now DBA XXXX XXXX operated by The XXXX XXXX hasn't sent me any statements other than my Final Movement Statement on XX/XX/2018. I paid all that was due and now almost two years later have received multiple collection notices from the National Credit System , Inc. to pay a {$95.00} debt that I've never even seen. I have documentation to show that the final moveout statement was {$1600.00}. Of that {$5.00} was a late fee which was subsequently removed by the front office staff ( I have documentation ) and the remaining {$1600.00} was paid in 3 payments of {$530.00}. {$95.00} remaining balance? I never received anything about it. Ive contacted the National Credit System to report that I am disputing this and I and my guarantor are still receiving additional credit threats that they will damage our credit. I have tried on multiple emails and phone calls to get this resolved by contacting the front office staff. Every time, I've contacted them, they've told me they can't help me and that the XXXX XXXX XXXX will resolve this and to send him email. I've now sent him multiple emails and have not received the slightest response. Upon calling the office again, they said just do the same thing, but I am receiving additional credit threats in the mail and frequent calls from the National Credit System.

Consumer Complaint: I recently checked my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX to check the status of a dispute. The dispute was with The XXXX Apartments located in XXXX, NV XXXX. I was a resident there for 1 year and completed my full 12 month lease ( XX/XX/XXXX ). Once I moved ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I was verbally told by the property XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) that I would be given a final bill sent to my new address in XXXX XXXX, CA. I noticed on my credit report that I was sent to collections for the amount of {$1700.00} on ( XX/XX/XXXX ), however my report also states the collection amount was updated on ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I would like this removed from my credit report in full due to not receiving a fair bill sent to me as I was instructed by the property XXXX, and I had no idea my final bill was in collections until I looked at my credit report. The collection agency address is : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, GAXXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

The manager told me I was lying and I still have proof of it. My paychecks were cut due to the situation I was experiencing since XXXX and I did not payed the rent in XXXX. When I arrived to the trial and was my turn I started explaining the judge and was going to show all the pictures and the doctors tests and everything, the judge cut me off stating the landlord did not wanted money they just wanted me to leave. I had already moved on XX/XX/XXXX and the trial was on XXXX so the case was dismissed. I have a letter from the Magistrate Court that I provided to XXXX and XXXX which firstly reported it. I started the dispute with XXXX and they close it a day after requesting documents to prove my identity I have proof of everything. This information has to be removed immediately from my credit. Consumer Complaint: There was a medical collection that was placed on my credit by XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$5500.00}. I was covered by insurance at the time and date of service at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had also provided my insurance information. After much research, my insurance informed me that they initially were contacted by the hospital concerning myself being actively covered, which I was, on XX/XX/2018. They also informed me that the hospital never followed up and submitted an official bill for payment. There was no follow up or follow thru. Insurance claim fell thru the crack as not fault of mine. This item was then placed on my credit. My credit score decreased -112 pts. After reaching out to the hospital I was sent in several circles. I contacted my insurance who then reached out to hospital billing. My insurance denied payment as the bill was submitted after the filing limit.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/20, I attempted to contact National Credit Systems , Inc. to discuss the recent letter they sent in reference to XXXX XXXX and his incorrect reporting to them. I wanted to advise that I was disputing the amount and how to handle that but the representative that identified himself as the Account Supervisor name XXXX ( XXXX ). He then proceeded to yell over me when I was trying to ask a legitimate question and he told me " we don't discuss amounts here and you need to learn how to pay your bills '' and then hung up in my face. I called back upset and the receptionist told me that I was being profane because I was upset and she also hung up on me. My mother then called and asked to speak to the supervisor XXXX ( XXXX ) and was told that he was at lunch and that I we would not able to speak with anyone else and then they hung up. I was trying to offer a resolution but at this point, I am filing a Chapter XXXX and will be rid of them for good.
