Consumer Complaint: Opening this complaint in response to National Credit Systems not doing anything with previous complaint XXXX. NCS response to previous complaint is that it thinks it is correct to list the date of 1st delinquency as the date a tenant presumably moved out of an apartment. This is grossly incorrect. The date of 1st delinquency should be the date the tenant was delinquent with the client NCS is collecting for. Clearly XXXX XXXX XXXX filed an Eviction in 2017 and received a Writ Of Resitution in 2017 ( XX/XX/2017 ). National Credit Systems can contact the XXXX County Courthouse and pull registry of action # XXXX to verify this information or contact XXXX XXXX XXXX. Listing an incorrect date of 1st delinquency is a clear FCRA violation.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Account information incorrect

Consumer Complaint: My sister and I rented an apartment at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TN, XXXX around 4 years ago. The Manager was out sick of a long time so I never met her. When she comes back to work she begins trying to evict people to get new vacancies and accumulate collection write-offs. At the time I was always out of town working so I would maybe be there once a week. When I go home I seen the ceiling had a bad leak that caused some damage to the unit. I immediately reported the situation to the office and I noticed what the lady was doing to everyone. Somehow I became a target of hers and when they come to see the situation they wanted to accuse me of damage in the unit that was either already there or was caused by the plumbing leak. They stated, '' You violated your lease agreement. '' I realize the game she was trying to play on me so I made my way out of their presence. It took several days to come repair the issue and I had to go back out of town, I dropped my money order in the deposit box at the office and left. The next day my sister calls when she comes home saying there was a letter on the door to vacate. I come back home the same day to see what was going on and I decided to just pack my things and move out. My sister was already gone by the time I arrived and she said another associate gave her the money order that I paid rent with. That lady knew what was going so she tried to do what was right. She got in some trouble because she gave it back when we were leaving. I told them that I was just going to leave and the nice lady did the walk through of the empty apartment and cleared everything as in good shape besides the damage the leak caused. We left with the money order and all of our stuff before the actual date the rent was due and months later I see a collection on my report so I call them and they tell me the charge was for the months rent and damages even though we was gone before the due date and we did not damage a single thing in the apartment. We left the apartment just as clean as it was when we moved in. Since then I have been disputing the lies that is the only thing left on my credit report and they just leave the account like it is in collections. It says it's an open account that doesn't make sense to me since I have been gone for years, it has the wrong dates on there to make it look like we moved out later, it also says I owe {$850.00} when my rent was {$500.00} and and we didn't live there for the month it says we owe for and the extra add ons are supposable for damages that we did not cause. I have contacted the reporting agency National Credit Systems numerous times as well and they only know what was told to them by a liar. This is something that has given me a negative image for years and denied many loans that I needed badly at points in my life that made it hard to make a way to provide for my family. It has also prevented me from getting in safer and more sanitary homes to raise my children in. It also made it impossible to get some start up credit to begin establishing a foundation and security for my family. I am still bothered by how I am getting abused by the people with a little power that is badly neglected. I am only half way threw the 7 year limitation and I finally got a few accounts on my report that are helping. I learned who to contact and I'm hoping that writing this complaint will help make things right so I can proceed to a more healthier life with no undeserved, false reputation to hold me back from establishing a secure future for my family. Please take to heart my concerns and help the powerless with justice. Thank you and may XXXX bless us all.

Consumer Complaint: Thank you for your time! Humbled am I! According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), you are required by federal law to verify - through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract and Reporting Act section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( including but not limited to Section 807-8 ) Act ( including but not limited to Section 623-b ) I asked these companies to simply show me verification of debt etc or if these items are mine. None have done so. I am asking for proof or delete the item. It has been 2 months now almost 3. I have been filing reports and giving them chance after chance to prove this yet they refuse. I mailed more letters off as late as last week. XX/XX/XXXX I mailed the first sent off letters. As per FTC opinion letter from Attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX, you should be aware that a printout of a bill or itemized document does not constitute verification.

Subissue: Indicated you were committing crime by not paying debt

Consumer Complaint: I entered a lease on or around XX/XX/XXXX on the original lease. I state the carpet is already used and has an odor. I noted that the blinds weee broken and mismatching. During my 2 plus years at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ. XXXX. In fact, fixed a stair rail that kept falling off and had XXXX XXXX XXXX plumbers install a sink I paid for because the one they had was old and fell off the downstairs bathroom. I was an excellent tenant and always paid my rent on time. In XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, came over to reassess the property. He then chose to not charge me a pet deposit, but rather raised my rent {$100.00} a month. He did not ask, request or discuss a pet deposit other than the increase. I then was told by XXXX that the owner was selling the property and that I had 60 days to move. I immediately in XXXX of XXXX began looking and moved out per our agreement on-time despite Covid 19 on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked the XXXX company to come do the walk through, but they - No Showed. I had complaint that the property windows were not secure and they did nothing. I left the house in the best clean and damage free. There was some wear and tare, but the company has an {$800.00} security deposit to cover those costs. However, XXXX lied to me and told me he needed my new address to mail me my deposit. When Im fact he has submitted false information and information that indicates XXXX XXXX XXXX wants me to remodel the unit? I am not responsible for remodeling a unit that I rented that is the owners responsibility. The company they hired is harassing me with calls, letters and reporting false information to the credit bureaus. National Credit Systems is reporting false allegations, pictures and information. I am disputing this at every level to resolve based on facts. It is the landlords responsibility to do a final walk through and if there was graffiti on the wall that is not of my doing? I dont understand why I am being victimized in this situation? Please Help!

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Subissue: Debt is not yours

Consumer Complaint: I lived at XXXX XXXX XXXX for just over a year. When I found a bigger place to live the landlord at XXXX told me to not pay my last months rent and he would use my security deposit to apply towards it. The day I turned in my key I left my new address and contact information with the manager, XXXX. I wrote it on a piece of paper and handed it to him, he then put it in my file. I stood there and watched him do this. A few weeks later I received a collection notice in the mail from XXXX XXXX. I went to the apartments to speak with the manager, he told me they kept my security deposit because I didn't pay my last months rent, I reminded him of what he told me, not to pay my last months rent, he would apply my security deposit to pay it. I asked why I didn't get a letter in the mail explaining why they kept my security deposit, he shrugged his shoulders. Please see attached a copy of the lease initialed by me, it states that my security deposit can be used towards the last months rent. On the lease it states " If the landlord fails to give you the required notice within the 30 day period, he or she forfeits the right to impose a claim on the security deposit. '' I never received any notice. On the attached document please read # 12 and # 24 where it clearly states that the security deposit can be used for the months rent.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is very simple and is a FCRA violation. National Credit Systems is reporting the incorrect date of first delinquency, a clear violation of FCRA. National Credit Systems, a collections agency, is attempting to collect for XXXX XXXX XXXX. The date of first delinquency with XX/XX/XXXX was XXXX. National Credit Systems is reporting date of first delinquency of XX/XX/XXXX with all three credit reporting agencies ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX). This is a clear FCRA violation.

Issue: Written notification about debt

Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, This complaint concerns my experience with National Credit Systems , Inc. National Credit Systems , Inc. has sent a single letter stating that I have an " obligation '' of {$6900.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX I have not received any written accounting of what the {$6900.00} consists of. It seems very unreasonable and unfair for a collection agency to be able to submit negative information on a consumer to the credit reporting bureaus without having provided a detailed accounting of what the " obligation '' is. To date, I have received no detailed written accounting from either National Credit Systems , Inc. or XXXX XXXX on this " obligation. '' I believe that the negative reporting done by National Credit Systems , Inc. should be reversed until I am provided with a written accounting of the " obligation. '' Thank you in advance for your assistance and attention. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: False debt was added to my credit report by a vindictive landlord / property management company. They claimed I damaged the rental property before a move, this is a lie. They then added bogus charges and sent to collections to collect this fake debt.
