Consumer Complaint: NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEMS which is representing XXXX XXXX XXXX has threatened me and my previous roommates about a debt from a rental agreement that was null and void due to non-action on a 7-Day Notice. Our apartment became infested with roaches, ants, and bedbugs and they would not let us out of the lease even after a month went by and 3 attempts by their on site pest guy. Then they were saying we ( the renters ) were responsible for the mitigation costs of a Reputable company to come and for the adjoining units. Not only did they break florida statutes that specifically mention the bugs above and that they can not waive our rights to being able to break the lease. When we cleaned the apartment and moved out and hired a lawyer they stopped bothering us but then suddenly they say we owe them for the entire rest of the lease and additional amounts they haphazardly added. I have documentation of the original contract that has " bugs '' written in the portion for issues with the unit before signing the lease because there was little XXXX when we did the walk through of the unit but they assured me that they covered pest control. They did not cover pest control and wanted me to be subject to their XXXX apartment that was {$1500.00} a month. This has damaged my perfect XXXX rental history and now I have trouble getting apartments. I have copies of the rental agreement with bugs on it, 7 day notices which mention the specific statutes in florida for renters rights, and I have email documents proving bites to my body and girlfriends body and the communication with them that went on for over a month with no remedy and yet expected funds without a livable situation. I retained a lawyer that had to provide me with a residence for a year because I could not move in anywhere due to their illigimate claims against me. I have proof and they do not. How can companies get away with damaging peoples credit without fair representation. I would like them to remove this false debt because they have no claim or warrant to it. I can also provide XXXX submission, complaint to Department of Agriculture and Consumers services, and XXXX review that has required the company to change names because no one would want to live in a bug infested apartment for that much money. Please help as this is not a legitimate debt because I was injured in this situation and now have negative credit rating because of it.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Notification didn't disclose it was an attempt to collect a debt
Consumer Complaint: After viewing a copy of my report, I noticed a collection account placed on my credit report from National Credit System on XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1500.00}. First and foremost, I have confirmed that the debt collector, National Credit System, is not licensed in the state of Louisiana to collect on this debt. Secondly, National Credit System violated FDCPA rules and regulations when they failed to send me a written debt validation notice including the amount of the debt, name of the creditor, and notice of the consumer 's right to dispute the debt within 30 days. Third, what obligation do I have at all to National Credit System? I have never heard of them, have no written contract with them and have never received any benefits from them, yet National Credit System has submitted negative information to all three credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) against my name and social security number and is demanding payment from me in the amount of {$1500.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I believe it was in 2018, my husband and I were trying to apply for the low income units at the XXXX XXXX XXXX. We were not qualified for the low income because we were told our income was over the limit. We were treated with unprofessional behavior when we asked for our {$300.00} deposit since we were no longer getting the apartment. We paid a total of {$470.00}, {$170.00} for the application. We ended canceling the payment from our bank account because they refused to refund the {$300.00} deposit. The last time we spoke to a debt collector we told him we were willing to pay the {$170.00} and he did not the agree to our terms.

Consumer Complaint: I lived in XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Arizona from XXXX - XX/XX/2016. I gave the leasing a 5 day notice to fix or I would be released from lease. The apartment had toxic mold beneath bathroom sink and washer/ dryer. You could not breathe in that apartment and they refused to do anything and I had kids in that house. My daughter and I were constantly in the hospital because of XXXX problems so we moved out when nothing was done. I gave them my phone number and forwarding address and told them I was moving out. I never received any documentation from them or anyone. A year later I checked XXXX XXXX and found they reported a {$7600.00} collection from national credit services without ever notifying me I owed a debt. I have tried disputing this with them and the credit bureaus but get nowhere.
