Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: company is attempting to collect a debt that is not owed and if the amount is owed I did not make the charge. The company did not send anything to my home address and put charges directly on my credit report. This is wrong, no proof of debt.

Consumer Complaint: I was released from this lease agreement and my roommate XXXX XXXX was responsible for anything that occurred after I was removed. Please contact XXXX XXXX to verify info and see roommate release form that i signed releasing me of any liability related to this rental account/agreement. I even called the property this week to verify and they said it should not show up as my responsibility or account because I was released beforehand and that once I disputed it you would call them and they would verify that it isn't mine. Which means you did not reach out to them to verify accuracy and are negligently furnishing incorrect data to the credit reporting agencies.

Consumer Complaint: The company has a " copy '' not the original lease documents. The lease does not show my signature on there and no evidence of an drivers licenses this is surely hearsay and is inaccurate. I never lived at this place and I was a victim of identity theft. This needs to be removed off my credit immediately. This is against the law. This is not the original lease nor does it prove anything. My social was not only compromised but it is not even shown on the lease. If this is not taken care of this will go into litigation. Have not supplied proof under the doctrine of estoppel by silence Engelhardt v. Gravens ( Mo ) 281 SW 715 7191 may presume that no proof of the alleged debt nor therefore any such debt in fact exists.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, national credit systems received my request of dispute in their office at XXXX XXXX, per USPS tracking system, by certified number XXXX. To this very day they have ignored my request by not validating their claims of the money allegedly owed and the one month agreement they say I entered. I know that things are a bit slow becasue of the pandemic but they have passed the extra time to reply to me. Silence means they do not have adequate evidence to support their reporting and collection. Despite them not validating their claims, they continue to report the account to the credit reporting agencies amid collection and reporting laws.

Consumer Complaint: I lived in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX. My son was diagnosed with severe XXXX and put on a XXXX and XXXX for the entire time while living in XXXX XXXX XXXX. There was mold and construction dust in the Ac unit that was causing his illness. We notified the maintenance of the apartment complex who simply changed the filter of the Ac unit, but the mold and construction dust remained a problem. We decided to take action for our sons health and gave a 60 day notice that we would be leaving due to unlivable conditions in the apartment. As soon as we moved, my sons severe XXXX and XXXX issues went away immediately. We have submitted several letters to the company directly about this matter and they pay no concern to the issue and are charging us for the last months rent money. They neglected to keep a healthy living environment and for that my son was on harmful XXXX for almost one year. I have medical bills and prescription/ medical records to prove this. The charges they are requesting are unlawful and need to be removed from mine and my husbands credit report.

I tried to contact the original creditor but they are no longer the managment of this property. Consumer Complaint: I received a letter ( Dated XX/XX/XXXX ) from National Credit Systems out of XXXX XX/XX/XXXX about an alledged debt I owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I respoded with a certified letter on XX/XX/XXXX disputing the debt, I asked them for proof of the debt, and I also asked them for information about their company ( are they a licensed debt collector, do they have a license to collect debts in the state of XX/XX/XXXX and if not what state are the licensed in and what authority do they have to collect in the State of XX/XX/XXXX) To this date they have not answered my requests for information about their company. They have proceeded to make multiple calls to me ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ) even after the first phone call I informed them I would talk to them only once every 30 days and that I am requesting any correspondence be in writing. I have now sent 4 certified letters to their company requesting the information and they have not answered my request for company information. I have disputed the debt with every letter they have sent me and I have informed them I will not provide any information until I know they are a licensed collector authorized to collect in the state of XX/XX/XXXX They have refused to provide this information and have now reported to the credit bureaus, even though this is in dispute.

Consumer Complaint: I was a resident at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Michigan ( owned by XXXX XXXX, at the time ). We moved out at the end of XX/XX/XXXX with all bills paid up, including the return of our deposit minus the final utilities ( water, sewer, trash ). In XX/XX/XXXX, they added a charge for {$760.00} and reversed the charge the same day. They are saying that I owe the {$760.00}, even though their own records indicate I have a {$0.00} balance. We never received a bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, nor XXXX XXXX. Starting in XX/XX/XXXX, my wife and I both started receiving calls from a debt collection and eventually a law firm attempting to collect the {$760.00}. Each time I was contacted, I told them that we had a good relationship with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and if we owed them money, we wanted to make it right. It took from XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX before the finally sent documentation showing what we owed and that our balance was {$0.00}. I sent this information to XXXX XXXX, National Credit Systems and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I could not contact XXXX XXXX by telephone. I sent them a packet with all of the information asking them to intercede ( I have not heard back from them ). I was able to contact National Credit Systems and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. National Credit Systems refused to do anything, even though they were the ones who published derogatory information in both of our credit reports, because the case was in the hands of the law office. Even though I sent the information back to the law offices ( the information they provided to me ), they refused to take any action to correct this whole situation. I also filed disputes with 2 of the 3 credit bureaus who simply checked with National Credit Systems, who said it was a valid debt even though I had provided them the paperwork showing it was not a valid debt. To this date, our credit ratings still have the false information and none of the three ( XXXX XXXX, National Credit Systems and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) have sent me any information acknowledging the mistake, nor have they been willing to discuss the matter when they called me or I called them. I even had one person tell me I should pay the amount requested without any documentation proving I owed anything.
