Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to my then property management company XXXX, a.k.a XXXX XXXX to renew my lease. My family was living in " student housing '' that also rented to no students. Because the previous lease I had was specially written, I trusted the information that the management companies representative gave me. She sent me a lease with just my name on it and told me that my husband was a co-applicant in the system, and encouraged me to sign because they only had 1 4-bedroom unit left for the following year. I did sign believing what she said. I then called her because something didn't sit right with me, because of the property being a rental I did not want my husband or children evicted if something happened to me. While on the phone she said that a guarantor application was being emailed to me, which was a lie because I have access to his email he never received, nor signed anything for a the lease of XXXX. We met with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, who acknowledged that XXXX was incorrect and they were able to issue leases identical to the one we signed for XXXX. All she had to do was contact him and he would have contacted legal. He also acknowledged that my husband would have no rights to the apartment if anything were to happen to me. We were sent to collections for the entire amount of a lease when we never lived there, we were out before XX/XX/XXXX, and that unit was rented out, so they did not lose the full amount of the unit. We did actually drive by and speak to one of the students that lived in that unit. They also sent the 2 different bills to the collection agency and filed the collection as a joint account for the XXXX lease which is was not. I asked for XXXX the area manager to contact me which he didnt. But I do have the XX/XX/XXXX conversation that he admitted that his representative XXXX was wrong and she did lie about the lease to make her sales numbers. XXXX can look over our payment history and see that we always paid our rent on time, and they never had to threaten eviction and we did comply with the term of the lease that was issued and signed correctly.

Consumer Complaint: I use to be a resident who moved out of XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, after moving out when the lease was over I was contacted two weeks later from the leasing office making reference of owing XXXX dollars for damages. When I asked what damages, I was told bedbugs, and garbage left in the apartment. I refused to believe that because for one, I never had bedbugs and second, the apartment was left clean and damage free. When I asked for evidence such as pictures I was not given an opportunity which makes me believe they made up these allegations to keep my deposit. I'm familiar with Georgia tenant laws and guidelines that must be followed and I assure you none of the guidelines were followed by XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was never given a list signed by a employee in the leasing office, I was never allowed to enter the apartment to see if the damages was true so in the event I would honorably be able to handle the damages. To add insult to injury this debt collection company named National Credit Systems Inc. who I have no contract with concerning this alleged debt decides to trespass by taking my social security number and damaging my credit by reporting that I owe them an alleged debt they obviously paid pennies on the dollar for, in order to try extort me for funds. To keep in honor I sent them a negotiable instrument and affidavit to satisfy the debt by registered mail. To this day they still have the negotiable instrument and still damaging my credit.

Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems incorrectly placed a debt of {$980.00} on my credit report, saying that I co-signed an apartment lease with someone who I do not know anything about. I did no such thing, and do not know any XXXX XXXX. I have filed a required form with this company to dispute this, but have not heard back. When I disputed this with XXXX, they stated that they verified this as correct. My complaint is that they did not do an adequate investigation and falsely labelled this as correct. If they can even tell me the date when this lease was signed, I could show them where I was on the day the lease was signed as I am a XXXX with documented activities everyday. They could have checked the signature too to see if this was mine, or the SSN or driving license number if this information was on the lease. However they did not do anything worthwhile and send me a one line response saying 'that the information was found to be correct '. Repeated attempts to engage them on their website have failed.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I contacted National Credit Systems , Inc . I explained to them that my information was incorrect and that I had already taken care of this through the original client. It seems that they had the incorrect information regarding my insurance. I was on XXXX XXXX and XXXX at the time services were rendered. I also asked for original documents to be sent to me regarding this matter. I was told they would be mailed out and I was told they would give me a call back after investigating. I have yet to receive the documents and I have yet to receive a call back! I contacted National Credit Systems again today XXXX regarding this matter once again only to be told that the will send me an itemized bill of the charges. Well I should have been sent that before this was ever placed on my credit! I should have received that when I called two months ago and requested it! I am needing the company to delete this ASAP.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I requested that National Credit Systems , Inc validate a debt that they previously tried to collect on XX/XX/XXXX. They are reporting that I owe for a joint account, but I have no records indicating that this is true. I am seeking validation of this information, but National Credit Systems has not provided supporting documentation. I received a notice from National Credit Systems dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that they did not have enough information to validate my claim. I asked for : -Proof of your right to own/collect this alleged debt -Balance claimed including all fees, interest and penalties -Contract bearing my personal signature -Proof that the Statue of Limitations has not expired on this account -Your license numbers and Registered Agent or Agent of Service -Proof that you are licensed to collect in my state They sent me none of this information. None of the documents they sent corresponds with a joint account. I will upload a copy of the forms they sent me. Further more the signature on one of the documents seems to be forged as the signature date does not match the date of the original creditor dated signature. For example the original creditor signature is dated for XX/XX/XXXX. The other signature, which is supposed to represent my signature, is dated XX/XX/XXXX. How is this even possible? That means that National Credit Systems is also furnishing certain deceptive forms, which is against the law according to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 15 USC 1692k Sec 812 ( a ).
