Consumer Complaint: XXXX has violated several federal laws and are reporting inaccurate information on my credit report without being able to provide proper validation/verification of debt as required by law. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a Validation of Debt request under 611 ( 15 U.S.C. 1681 ) and asked for physical verification of the consumer contract under Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). Please see attached XXXX did not respond within ( 30 days ) the time frames required by law, so I sent a No Response within 30 Days letter which was received by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Please see attached On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a third letter to XXXX requesting Validation of Debt under Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) which specifically requires XXXX to prove the physical validation of a signed contract between myself and the alleged creditor. Please see attached. This is a complete violation of the law, and this is also hindering me from gaining proper housing. I do believe if XXXX could legally verify the account in question they would have sent proof by now. Since they have not and fail to remove the inaccurate account from my report they should be fined and held to the standard of the FDCPA. To date XX/XX/XXXX, I have yet to receive any investigation results. These are clear violations of the law.

Consumer Complaint: After receiving my credit reports, I noticed a fraudulent bill for over XXXX dollars placed by a former landlord on my credit history. My requests for removal via dispute process was denied, reason being amount disputed was verified as correct by the debt collector used by the landlord. Housing Court confirmed this debt is in fact not, correct, and there are no open cases or judgements against me for that amount. This was clearly done as retaliation for me calling our State Health Department which is illegal. Receiving a picture from a former neighbor of men in hazmat suits entering my former apartment verifies that in my view and opinion. This landlord demanded payment yet refused to change my carpets after getting a doctors note as directed and remodeled the entire apartment complex except my apartment contributing to sickness, homelessness and denial of other housing based on fraudulent credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter to all 3 credit bureaus to verify debt of National Credit Systems on behalf of XXXX XXXX as on each report was reported differently and notified that status showed paid and no debt was owed on account. I have not received any verifiable information from either credit bureaus to advise of debt other than the collection agency have verified debt. I started paying this debt in XXXX. I reviewed my credit report in XXXX as status showed paid and stopped making payments. I did not receive any verifiable information of amounts I paid on account. I no longer received phone calls regarding debt from XXXX. I started receiving phone calls regarding debt as of XX/XX/XXXX and explained that debt was validated as paid on credit report and no debt was owed. The representative preceded to say that although it showed it was paid that debt was still owed. This company have reported inaccurate information on my behalf. The bureaus went off a previous dispute from XXXX to determine the information was correct.

Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX is attempting to collect a debt in the amount of {$4100.00}. This debt amount is incorrect due to XXXX XXXX attempting to collect double rent. I broke the lease at XXXX XXXX due to mold growing in the apartment and the hot water being out for more than a week. Maintenance was not responsive and it was causing my families health to deteriorate. XXXX XXXX agreed and I paid a lease buyout fee. XXXX XXXX is denying this ever happened stating they dont have a lease buyout program. In addition to this, another tenant moved into the apartment the month after I left which was XX/XX/XXXX. My stepfather began working XXXX at the apartment to help out and we both seen another family living in the unit that I previously resided in which was XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. The apartment community is attempting to collect double rent on the same unit by charging me for the remainder of the lease and charging the individuals that occupied the unit after me which is against the law since the company mitigated their damages by me breaking the lease. I opened a dispute the collection agency on XX/XX/XXXX. The collection representative, XXXX XXXX advised me that they have 30 days to complete the dispute. There have been no updates as of XXXX XXXX. I spoke with Mr. XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and he intentionally gave inaccurate and misleading information over the phone. He stated that there is no timeframe that they have to make a decision and that he can not give me a timeframe and then preceded to end the line mid conversation after I respectfully asked for the information from him. He denied me the information and update regarding my dispute and continued to speak over me when I asked for the information. After this issue, I received another email attempting to collect the debt before the dispute is closed. The company also collected {$1200.00} from me at the beginning of the dispute because they stated it made my word more liable and that they determination would sway in my direction. I was unaware that debt collection agencies should not attempt to collect debt if there is a dispute in process. This has been a very stressful and emotional process due to me being in the process of trying to find a home. I was denied an application due to this incorrect reporting and the collection agency has been reluctant to process this information in a timely manner as required by law. In addition, I opened a dispute with XXXX and they closed the dispute prior to the collection agency closing their dispute. I am not sure how XXXX could validate the debt prior to the collection agency validating the debt with the creditor and the deadline for XXXX to make a decision did not approach before the collection agencys deadline. The biggest issue is the fact the collection agency is attempting to collect double rent instead of accurately updating my file. They are not following debt collection laws by continuing to attempt to collect debt while it is in dispute. The collection representative XXXX XXXX was very rude over the phone when I was nothing but, polite and understanding. He was not willing to listen and became very aggressive over the phone when I just wanted to get information pertaining to my credit.

Consumer Complaint: I leased an apartment for my father. - My father completed the lease and went on a month to month lease. While staying in the apartment my father had several issues, such as a dead mouse in the Air Conditioner and the last item that caused him to leave was a full flood of the apartment due to a maintenance issue. My father alerted the apartment complex in verbal and written communication, that due to the flood he would be leaving the apartment since it was not livable. It wasn't until we were contact by an attorneys office did we have any information that they had sent me to a collections company for not giving 30 days notice. I have tried to dispute this with the attorney and the apartment complex several times.
