Consumer Complaint: On XXXX Day of XXXX, XXXX we took out a loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX for the installation of a pool at our property at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX. The loan was sold to Key Bank on XX/XX/XXXX. We made monthly payments to Key Bank. As a result of the financial crisis in XXXX, we did a HAMP agreement in XXXX for our first mortgage with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We spoke with Key Bank subsequently and was informed that due to the HAMP program and our hardship they will release us from this loan. On XX/XX/XXXX a Release of Mortgage for this loan was sent to us by Key Bank. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX informing us that we owe {$63000.00} for this loan. We sent XXXX XXXX a copy of the Release of Mortgage and they said that a Rescission of Release was recorded on XX/XX/XXXX by Key Bank and that the Mortgage Release was an error. We were never informed of this Rescission and no attempt was made to collect any monies from us for many years. We do not believe that we should be paying this amount. We believe that this is a dishonest attempt to collect monies from us after such a long period of time a Rescission was done. XXXX is presently on furloughed indefinitely. We are very disturbed about this new and sudden development during this difficult COVID-19 time. We are appealing to your office to resolve this matter for us as we believe that this is an illegal practice.

Consumer Complaint: Yesterday when I was looking at my account it was no pending transactions. I had a balance of {$110.00} and available credit of XXXX. I made a payment of {$110.00} towards my balance at Keybank in XXXX XXXX NY. Then when I looked at my account my balance and available credit was changed only a little. I went back into the bank to see what was going on and they told me it takes 24 hours to post to my account. I looked at my account today and it said I owe another {$220.00}. I went into the bank & they told me that maybe I made another transaction between yesterday and today when I know I didn't. I just looked at my account and now im seeing repeated transactions ( that I already made earlier this month ) saying it was posted yesterday. I know it was posted before then because I check my account every single day more than once a day. And the money was already took out of my account and credit for. I first got the secured credit card with a deposit of {$300.00}. I just paid {$110.00} yesterday now they're telling me I owe another {$220.00}. I dont know what type of scam they got going on but they're really the worst and I refuse to pay more than what I originally put on the card. I didnt have no late payments or anything. Actually I paid earlier than the due date.

Consumer Complaint: I had ( 3 ) bank accounts with Key Bank ; ( 2 ) Key Gold Money Market Accounts and ( 1 ) Key Privilege Checking Account which were established by a " Financial Wellness Consultant '' under the supervision of the Personal Banker Manager at the XXXX XXXX Branch ; for the expressed purpose of creating a " Key bank Relationship '' among these accounts which directly and contractually qualified for a special " Relationship '' interest rate. When I attempted to cash a check, the branch refused due to the implementation of an " additional identification measures '' internal to just this Bank and not mandated by the Federal Government or any entity thereof. Their system failed at no fault of mine ( they admit so in a letter dated XX/XX/2020 from a XXXX XXXX XXXX Client Relations ) and despite their admission, offered only an apology for the inconvenience and the assurance that the branch will be dealt with. Nonetheless, I closed all ( 3 ) accounts in accordance to the terms of the agreement and stated that I would never ever do business with Key bank again. Upon closing, rather than receiving the " promotional rate '' from the last statement thru the closing, the bank instead paid interest at the non relationship rate ; in affect, shorting me nearly 1 full month of interest by nearly 1 % ; which in today 's low interest environment, is a huge discrepancy. All is ask is that this bank lives up to its own regulations and contractual obligations by paying what it owes instead of requiring me to continue to fight, fight, fight for the dollars rightfully mine.

Consumer Complaint: This is a problem with KeyBank. I initiated a {$3000.00} transfer from my Cash Reserve Credit Line to my Home Equity Line of Credit on XX/XX/XXXX. The transfer from the credit line shows on my account as of XX/XX/XXXX, and I have been paying interest on that credit line since XX/XX/XXXX. However, the payment to the Home Equity Line of Credit has still not been posted, as of XX/XX/XXXX. I have paid interest on both accounts ( the Credit line AND the Home Equity LOC ) for a week. I called KeyBank on XX/XX/XXXX, at which time they told me the payment would be posted by Wednesday, XXXX, XXXX. When the payment did not appear on my account by Thursday, XXXX XXXX, I called again. The KeyBank representative told me the payment could take up to 5 business days to post. Checking my account again on Friday, XXXX XXXX, the payment still hadn't posted.

Consumer Complaint: On two occasions, once in XXXX and once in XXXX, I believe, at the recommendation of coworkers, I opened a checking account with KeyBank and funded them as per my obligation to do so. Within a short period of time, my accounts were closed and I was told that some information couldnt be verified. Therefore, the accounts were closed without my notification and my funds were held by KeyBank. A total of close to {$200.00} was held. I had to make numerous calls to get my funds returned because KeyBank couldnt locate my accounts. Poor record keeping! On XX/XX/XXXX, I went to my local KeyBank branch to again, attempt to open a checking AND savings account. I thought all was well this time around. On XX/XX/XXXX, my employer directed deposited {$500.00} into my checking account and on XX/XX/XXXX, my {$500.00} was gone! My paycheck, my livelihood, was gone! I called KeyBank and was told a restriction was placed on my account, so my {$500.00} was being held due to negative banking history. Unless this is a tactic to not give me the {$200.00} promotion???? I asked to speak to someone in the fraud department and was denied that request and was told by customer service that theyre not allowed to speak to me and that I had to visit my branch. What negative banking history could I have had, when it was KeyBank who closed the accounts on me and held my funds and made me jump through hoops to get them back? I barely had a week to use those accounts before they were closed on me! So how could I have done anything wrong???? I want my {$500.00} and the combined {$20.00} in my checking and savings account returned to me immediately! This isnt the time to be stealing money from clients. I could have gone to XXXX but because the municipality I work for recommended KeyBank, thats why I went to them! Now Ive had 3 bad experiences with KeyBank! I want this matter resolved ASAP! I have no issues publicly voicing my experiences with KeyBank to prevent this from occurring to anyone else!

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2020 I purchased a plane ticket and travel protection insurance from XXXX {$270.00} and {$46.00} totaling {$320.00}. Due to a medical emergency I was unable to travel and contacted XXXX to cancel my flight and get a refund for the {$270.00} ticket. They cancelled my flight and refused their obligation to refund my ticket. I tried for several hours to resolve this with the creditor to no success. I then filed a dispute with Keybank prepaid card services by telephone and the agent categorized my dispute incorrectly and in addition to that issue I had moved in XXXX and did not get any requests my mail for further info on my complaint. My claim was subsequently denied. After learning of this error I called and re-opened the complaint and submitted all my supporting documents by mail and fax on XX/XX/2020. I received another denial letter from KeyBank stating that my claim is denied and that no error occurred which is a flat out lie. I don't think my claim was given proper consideration because this decision is so blatantly unfair. I did not receive the services for which I paid in either the travel by airplane or the travel protection insurance and I did not receive a refund for either. If Keybank properly investigated my claim and the evidence I provided I believe they would issue me a refund of {$270.00} for the plane ticket immediately if not in addition to the {$46.00} for the travel protection insurance which I did not receive. I have copies of the original purchase receipt, insurance policy, and charges to the debit card issued by Keybank as well as a doctors note serving as proof that I had no choice but to cancel my trip and am happy to provide that to your agency.
