Subissue: Non-sufficient funds and associated fees
Consumer Complaint: ACH payments scheduled for XX/XX/23 were delayed. I contacted Chase on or around XX/XX/23 to inquire on the status of my deposit and was told they were working on processing ACH payments but did not know when the funds would become available. I explained that I would receive a late fee from my landlord due to NSF and was asked to visit a branch to request reimbursement if a fee was assessed due to the delays. Additionally, they noted I would not incur any fees by Chase. The funds posted to my account on XX/XX/23. On XX/XX/23 my landlord issued a {$25.00} NSF fee and a {$50.00} late fee on XX/XX/23. On XX/XX/23 I visited a branch in person at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with the teller, providing a copy of my tenant ledger, I requested a reimbursement for the late fee assessed by my landlord. She instructed me to contact the claims department via telephone and said they are unable to process my request in branch. On XX/XX/23 I contacted customer service via telephone at XXXX and was transferred to the claims department. After speaking with the representative, it was made clear to me that they would not provide reimbursement or credit for the fee because the fee did not originate from Chase despite me explaining the situation and the cost being a direct result of delays related to the ACH deposit mishap in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I opened a Chase Total Checking account and Chase Saving account under a {$900.00} promotion offer. The qualifications for the bonus are : Get {$300.00} for opening a Chase Total Checking account and set up direct deposit. Get {$200.00} for opening a Chase Saving account and deposit {$15000.00} or more and maintain it for 90 days. Get an extra {$400.00} bonus for opening BOTH Total Checking and Saving account. I do have screenshot of the bonus requirement and I am attaching it to the case file for reference. I have deposited $ XXXX into the saving account and have a direct deposit from my company on XX/XX/XXXX into the checking account. After 90 days, I have received only {$200.00} bonus ( on XX/XX/XXXX ) for the saving account and not the other {$300.00} ( checking bonus ) + {$400.00} bonus ( for opening both account ). I have made an inquiry regarding the missing bonus via chase secure message on XX/XX/XXXX and was asked to provide my paystub for the XX/XX/XXXX checking account direct deposit which I submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. I didn't hear back from XXXX after a week and I submitted another inquiry on XX/XX/XXXX and this time Chase replied saying that I am ineligible to receive the checking account bonus which I disagree as I have satisfied the bonus requirement and therefore I am filling a complaint here in the hope that Chase will correct the issue. Thanks for your assistance.

'' The funds were immediately taken from my account. I decided to go into the chase branch and explain the situation. they told me to call customer service. Consumer Complaint: I provided XXXX with my card and they continued to charge my account repeatedly as well as multiple XXXX transactions that I or my authorized user did not authorize at all. I called JP Morgan Chase and I begged them to investigate these charges and to give me back my money. Someone named XXXX called me this morning XX/XX/23 asking me to provide my order history with instacart and I told him I had deleted my account with them because they charged me repeatedly and he asked me to reach out to them and they would be willing to give it to me. After 3 long hours, XXXX still did not provide me with ANYTHING regarding my history. In fact, XXXX was basically accusing myself and my authorized user for making these charges when I begged him to please reconsider and give me the supervisor. Instead, he continued to tell me " there was compelling evidence against me. '' He then PROMISED that a supervisor would call me within 24 hours but I just received a letter from Chase on the online portal basically telling me that all the charges are valid. This is NOT how a bank should treat their consumer. The letter denying my claims listed " Merchant has provided contractual agreement on this transaction. '' for every single transaction I disputed. Where is the evidence? How could you let a merchant TAKE MY MONEY without my consent and you would allow it and reward it? I demand these charges to be charged back and put back into my account.,

Consumer Complaint: Chase has a misleading payment visual for their credit card system that clearly generates accidental late fee revenue for them. if you attempt to pay your credit card, after selecting the amount, you click on a button that says " Pay this bill. '' You then receive what looks like a confirmation page but there is a second button if you scroll down that then says " Pay it. '' If you do not click on this second button, your payment will not go through. I have informed them multiple times that this generates confusion. I believe they have done it as purpose to generate revenue and that it should be considered a deceptive business practice. It's designed to make you think you have paid your bill when you have not so that they can charge you late fees.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: Previously, I filed a complaint against chase bank with the Fed Reserve Bank, because chase bank denied a corporate credit card for and under the startup program, stating, my income was below XXXX . Start up program should not require any income, then it won't be startup anymore. It appears Chase bank also took off the start up program off their website. I applied for it before than that. This is illegal. Office of Comptroller of the Currency case no is XXXX. ( FRB did nothing and transferred the case to office of the comptroller of the Currency ). Now, I found out that chase bank has manipulated the opening account records of my credit card no XXXX and the umbrella credit card account no ending in XXXX. This is very suspicious. Obviously, chase bank did that to hide the credit card accounts opening dates records for the corporate credit card, that is mentioned above. Which chase bank denied. This is suspicious and illegal activity by chase bank. Moreover, when I asked the chase bank 'when would the promotional 0.oo % APR offer would end on these two credit card accounts ending in XXXX and XXXX ''. Chase Representative said, he does not see any promotional offers. And obviously, chase bank has not been charging any interest, because there were 0.00 % APR offers on these credit cards accounts. This means chase bank has manipulated the credit card records so much, that they do not see the original records properly anymore. Chase bank did all that just to deny the corporate credit card issuance. This is illegal activity by such a large bank. Chase bank Representative told me that accounts ending in XXXX and XXXX were opened on XXXX of XXXX, XXXX. Chase bank lied. XXXX account was opened in XXXX. XXXX account was opened 4-5 months ago in XXXX. Chase bank needs to issue the corporate credit card, and straighten out the other credit cards account opening date records.

Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 four fraudulent transactions took place between two of my accounts. Immediately before these transactions occurred, I received a call from a Chase bank number ( XXXX ) XXXX that was very suspicious. I gave out no personal information, but they informed me that my card had been compromised and a new card would be sent to me. A Chase private banker later told me that they had no log of this call on their end. Immediately after this suspicious call these transactions occurred : XX/XX/XXXX {$1200.00} Withdrawal from checking {$200.00} ATM Withdrawal from checking {$900.00} XXXX XXXX {$1000.00} Withdrawal from my savings I left town on XX/XX/XXXX to play a music festival in XXXX, AZ and didn't recognize the transactions until XX/XX/XXXX. I then immediately reported the fraud to Chase the next morning. On XX/XX/XXXX, Chase reimbursed me the {$200.00} transaction, which took place at the same location as the other fraudulent transactions within the same timeframe, but denied my other three claims ( all around {$1000.00} ). I submitted a complaint with them, and on XX/XX/XXXX they denied my complaint. I then had them open an investigation with their claim department, and on XX/XX/XXXX, they informed me that the investigation was over and they still denied the claim. They provided me no information about their investigation and have been extremely dismissive since then.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft, my information was compromised and fraudulent transactions and credit cards were opened without my authorization. I do understand that because my information was compromised, my account could be at risk however I did add extra security measures over my social security number and other bank accounts and my drivers license. With this extra security measures, I get additional screening before any applications get approve with any government assistances or loans. I think with this extra step chase should consider giving a second chance and allowing me to full take control over my chase account. I've had my chase account for 5 years and this has never been an issue up until I was a victim of identity theft.
