Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check into my Chase checking account that was provided to me by a client for services done in accordance with my business operations. The funds were not made available to me, and they hold was placed on the check that was deposited on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. Even after it was verified by the issuer and he issuing bank that it was processed and funds were delivered to Chase on XX/XX/XXXX my funds were still not made available, and there was still a hold on the check. I was then informed that my funds would be released and the check was processed by Chase on the following business day XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, but my funds were still not made available. I then followed up on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX and was told that it was still just a request for the Hold to be released, and that my funds might be available at the end of the business day. Currently, I am still waiting to receive my funds in my account. I have called multiple times over the last two days and have been instructed that Chase cant hold my funds for up to 14 days and that they have many request that they are having issues following up with, and receiving funds from other banks. As a XXXX XXXX and XXXX veteran, I feel that it is not my responsibility to worry about these things, and the bank of this caliber should be able to handle simple things such as a {$2000.00} check.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I signed an agreement with a moving broker and paid a deposit of {$3600.00}. The agreement says that the move cost {$8900.00} if the inventory is truthfully submitted and no additional services are purchased. On the day of the move the moving company came to my house and told me they wanted {$5000.00} more to carry out the move. I showed them the agreement and the bidning estimate and refused. They stated that this was not considered a valid estimate to them, only the XXXX would make the determination how much the move really cost. I refused to pay and considered our agreement invalid, as there was no wrongdoing on my end, the inventory was correct. I requested to return my deposit, which they refused, based on the contract ( that I consider invalid as they did not honor the agreement ) I reversed the charges for the depoit on my credit card and explained the situation to Chas Bank, the credit card issuer. Chase Bank considered the charges against my proof and documents as valid and allowed the merchant to keep the deposit, based on their interpretation that the agreement was vaild. A little reserach shows hundreds of complaints against the same merchant for the same reason.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Charged too much interest
Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX interest " Chase Plan '' initiated on XX/XX/23 for {$1600.00} due over 18 months in equal payments ( {$89.00} ) with 0 % interest. On XX/XX/23 Amazon charged my Chase credit card ending in XXXX for {$1500.00} without my permission ( they had access to my credit card as the number was saved in my Amazon account ). I brought this to Amazon 's attention and they refunded {$1500.00} on XX/XX/23. Between XX/XX/23 and XX/XX/23 Chase voided my XXXX interest " Chase Plan '' and as of XX/XX/23 charged me {$23.00} in interest and then charged me {$23.00} in interest on XX/XX/23, when I should have been charged 0 % interest. The balance was {$1300.00} on XX/XX/23 which is the amount they are charging me interest on in violation of our agreement. On XX/XX/23 I brought this error to Chase 's attention through their " secure message '' feature and they responded that they will not fix this mistake and instead will continue to charge me 21.24 % interest, which is a violation of our original 0 % interest " Chase Plan '' agreement. I would have used a different credit card to make this purchase if I knew they would violate the 0 % interest agreement after only 4 months. In all I will be paying {$230.00} in interest if I continue to pay the agreed upon {$89.00} per month, when I should be paying {$0.00} in interest. I also filed a fraud charge against Amazon for illegally charging my card without permission through Chase and talked to a customer service representative for Chase on XX/XX/23 and was told they will not fix their error.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Subject : Request for Assistance Account Lockdown with Chase Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I have been facing with my Chase account, and despite my efforts to resolve it directly with Chase, the matter remains unresolved. On XXXX I was informed by Chase that they needed to verify the issuer of two checks on my account. However, their system lacks a method to verify the business that issued these checks, resulting in an account lockdown. Despite my willingness to provide a phone number for verification or to visit a branch with the check writer, Chase has been unable to offer a satisfactory solution. I understand the importance of security measures, and I have suggested an alternative approach to verify the identity of the check writer. Specifically, I proposed providing a phone number and allowing Chase to contact the issuer directly to ask pertinent questions to confirm their identity. Given the current situation, the account lockdown has caused significant inconvenience and financial strain on my end. I have diligently cooperated with Chase, but their system limitations hinder progress toward a resolution. I kindly request the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau 's assistance in mediating this matter with Chase. Your intervention to facilitate communication between Chase and me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt and positive resolution. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: This chase prime credit card claims that it works with XXXX but I'm very disappointed with their service I returned a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX worth {$170.00} ( XXXX ) Last week on Monday XX/XX/2023, it's been XXXX and a half week, I still haven't received a refund from XXXX and XXXX tried to dispute this charge on the chase website but it is not going through, I also went on XXXX to XXXX the information from Chase regarding this, they failed to provide me any information and they keep on going in circles and nothing else thinking that I'm a fool. I also called the customer service regarding this and it went to XXXX, they were asking me stupid questions again and again like what's my name, what's my address, my date of birth, Again and again, I was transferred to XXXX different departments, And they were asking this information again and again, when I already verified my account on the automated server. And then I have XXXX other complaint, recently I stayed at a hotel in XXXX XXXX, they were supposed to charge me {$45.00} but they charged me {$58.00}, here is the information of the transaction - XX/XX/2023 XXXX XXXX XXXX - {$58.00} Plus they also charged me {$9.00} for parking when the parking was supposed to be free, I tried to dispute this charge on the chase website, it's not going through, the Chase website dispute section is for show only, it is not working. I want a chase to credit me {$13.00} plus {$9.00} for parking which was charged to me by the hotel. This was a complete rip off and this shouldn't have been done. From now on I will stop using the chase XXXX credit card for my large purchases and I will use other credit cards where I get benefits and I can also dispute the charges easily. Hey guys, don't be fooled from Chase, it's a rip off credit card, the customer service is ridiculous and use other credit cards other than chase credit cards

Consumer Complaint: I have had several complaints with Chase Bank -specifically my Chase Southwest Airlines Card and these complaints have not been thoroughly addressed and answered. First and foremost, I have been a victim of identity theft and my credit reports reflect this and as a result, there has been severe damage to my credit report. With this being said, Chase has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with and they have caused me great XXXX and stress and have been a detriment to my mental health. Chase closed my Southwest Card unbeknownst to me and I never recieved and notification stating that the account would be closed and closed without notifying me. In additon, Chase sent me several letters stating they investigated my fraud claims and that I " recieved benefit '' on the fraud claims that I clearly did not recieve benefits on. Therefore I want to know extensively and a detailed report on the " investigation ''. Not to mention, Chase suddenly decreased my credit line without notification either. Chase has caused me to have severe anxiety and I am unable to sleep and it has affected my work and home life I have had nothing but a terrible experience with Chase Bank and their representatives. They were never helpful and were always quick to be rude and make me feel the the lowest I have ever felt in my life. I deserve an explanation to my complaints and concerns and I want them to be addressed thoroughly in writing. It is my right as a consumer to have complaints sent to me in writing only. Per 15 US Code 1681a ( 2 ) Exclusions.Except as provided in paragraph ( 3 ), the term consumer report does not include ( A ) subject to section 1681s3 of this title, any ( i ) report containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report.
