Consumer Complaint: As of XX/XX/23 this morning I checked my account to see why my funds have not transferred from one account to another. Chase placed a hold on a XXXX check, then cleared the account then two days later closed the account as they said it was restricted for 10 days with no warning. They also canceled money transfers to cover checks written and charged me multiple 34 nsf fees and then canceled my transfers. They also kept my XXXX. Been on phones all day missing work to get this corrected. They keep giving me excuses and Im extremely stressed and concerned. No warnings, no calls, just closed account and kept money. Been on phone for hours and they keep telling they are trying to reopen the account after I told them Im calling the police to file fraud against the bank.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX letter received that the lease on safe deposit boxes and checking accounts are cancelled with no explanation. Annual fee paid on safe deposit boxes in XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX went into branch to withdraw money and items from safe deposit boxes. XXXX XXXX denied the withdrawal. Sent home and asked to call a number - ( XXXX ) XXXX " Compliance '' on the line left a note on account allowing the withdrawal and mentioned that the refund on the safe deposit box will be processed once the account has been closed XXXX lease on safe deposit box cancelled on XX/XX/XXXX per letter XXXX called chase to get refund on safe deposit box. CSR on phone mentioned that they can't process the refund over the phone and need to go to branch for the refund to happen. CSR mentioned that If branch can't process refund, have the branch call them. However, when we arrived at branch, the branch mentioned that we can not receive a refund because the account is already closed and that there's nowhere to refund the fee to. We called CSR, but they mentioned they can't process the refund on the phone ( as we were told before ) but provided no further instructions to the branch on how we can get the refund.

Consumer Complaint: I received my tax refund through a trustee after they deducted what I owe them in the form of a check. This is a court appointed trustee when I went into The bank with my check to deposit I made it very clear to them that I did not want to deposited into the account. If I cant find out if there is a hold going to be placed on the check, they informed me not to worry because they can put it through and if I do not like the the date that they give me for a hold if one is necessary then they can just reverse that transaction and give me the check back. That way I can go elsewhere to a check cashing store or to my other bank that I bank with the manager was right behind the teller when she said this and she confirmed it with him and so I felt that the information I was receiving was accurate. I deposited this check on the XXXX and I was given a hold time till the XXXX. I was fine with that. That would not be a problem. I look on my app on the phone and it told me it would actually be ready on the XXXX which was even better so I went home went to bed woke up the next day, and then I see that a new hold was placed on the check after it sent me a thing saying that the funds had been released and the hold was lifted now it said that the check was being held till the first of the month, which is longer than promised, which put me in a real bind because I had made an obligation and committed to it based on what the bank manager and the bank teller had promised me I understand that this is a larger check because it is my tax refund but I contacted someone with the deposits and whole department at chase bank and they informed me that they have to verify the check and that they have been informed by the banks that theyre dealing with that the check has a possibility that I will come back with insufficient funds which is crazy. I then contacted the trustee and let them know this and so he checked and verified that it had cleared on the XXXX the day after I deposited it, so I called back the bank and the Lady admitted to me that they have received the funds but theyre still holding it because I cant verify it and it makes absolutely no sense. The check is written to me. Its my tax refund I have all the proof of everything Ive had several deposits to this account through my employer, so theres absolutely no reason for them to do this to me. They have the money they just are holding my money hostage and keeping it, and theyre making money off of my money doing whatever banks do, and the fact that its been verified that this check has cleared. Makes no sense for them to not release it to me. Like I said, I was happy to have a next day availability date which showed up on my app but I wasnt promised it till the XXXX and I was OK with that and now that I havent committed to something now its gon na cost me XXXX extra dollars because I defaulted already on my promise and my obligation so Im very upset about this and theyre not willing to do anything about it and they said theyre just gon na keep that hold on till the first even though they have my money from the check presented. I dont understand how a bank teller and the manager can assure someone that their funds will be made available by a certain time only to not honor that I understand if it was a personal check, but this isnt this is a check from a court appointed trustee, and this is crazy and they receive the money its not like it hasnt cleared and The chase employee did not admit to me that they have the money that they did receive it. That was the whole reason for the hold was a possibility that it could come back. Insufficient funds now thats handled so this is totally crazy. Theyre stealing my money, basically for their own use as if it doesnt belong to me I need it. This is not right I worked my XXXX off all year and the only thing I can count on for a little bit of money to get a head and two put money down on something that isnt needed. Its through my tax refund and theyre playing games with me and refused to help me. Im not asking for money that is not mine. Im not asking for money that hasnt been received by them I understand if it hasnt cleared yet it cleared verified by the trustee and verified by Chase Bank themselves. How can they be allowed to do this?

Consumer Complaint: I'm a victim and have dealt with extreme identity theft for years. During this time, I've had my credit frozen and unfrozen and also flagged for ID theft- it's been difficult for me to get loans. I've reported to the police on numerous occasions for mail fraud and this is the first step, getting my credit reports. Currently, I'm dealing with ID theft still and trying to get an accurate picture but the freeannualreport.org will only allow me to see XXXX. I have tried through the mail to get reports in the past year and have been unsuccessful. There are inaccuracies on XXXX that do not add up on my Chase Bank and I would like to freeze my reports, however, I need to see the reports first. Right now, I need assistance before I can get an attorney and this is the first step. Please HELP!

Said I had to prove I didn't have an account. All the while I was denied having an account, I finally after 6 months contacted XXXX. I emailed & wrote to them with no response. I told this to Chase. Never once was I told of a 60 day rule. When I spoke to XXXX I did not have an account. There were 6 accounts attached to my named. I was told they could not closed the account. I was given the name of the person that was using my name. Then I started looking at my invoice. The XXXX number & the subscription number were the SAME. This got by CHASE 'S HIGH TECH SECURITY!! I couldn't believe it! I went numerous debit cards a checking account. To this day I found the person gave them ALL the information and it still gets through. They refuse to honor the money back after the 60 days. They stick by their rules, but their security was at failed and still does!

Consumer Complaint: I have been a Chase Bank customer for a year. I bought 3- {$1000.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX orders and XXXX {$160.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX order to pay a bill to XXXX Apartments for a rental bill from my local XXXX money center,. I wrote " XXXX Apartment, XXXX GA XXXX '', on the front of the money orders where it says " PAY TO : ''. The money orders payments weren't accepted by XXXX Apartments because I didn't have enough to pay the full balance owed on my rental account. I took the money orders ( {$3100.00} ) to be deposited into my saving account at the XXXX, Ga Chase Bank Branch. The money orders were taken and separated from their receipts to be deposited to my personal Chase savings account. A few days later I received a digital letters and notification from my Chase app that my checking and savings accounts was being restricted and that they may close both accounts. So I called the Chase Customer service number provided and I was told them I received a letter from them saying my accounts were being restricted. They told me its because the money orders says Pay TO : XXXX Apartments and I was flagged for fraud. The Chase customer service rep on the phone told me all I needed to do is come into branch with my social security card and Driver 's License ID to verify my identity and so I went back to the same branch that I first deposited the money orders, with my two forms of Identification along with the XXXX receipt where the money orders were purchased, the money order stubs, and the chase bank receipt of the money orders deposit. I was then told that money order needed to be verified/endorsed my XXXX apartments. I then drove to XXXX XXXX and asked if they could verify the money orders. The Customer Service supervisor from Chase Fraud division reach out and spoke with the Property XXXX at XXXX XXXX via phone called ; then aggressive hung up on the property manager at XXXX while trying to verify the money orders. The supervisor at Chase transferred the call back to me and said they refuse to accept the verification without giving me a reason. When I asked the supervisor what was the reason, the chase supervisor hung up on me as well. I back into the Chase Branch and I was told the only way to get the hold/ restriction from my account to be able to withdraw the money from my account is if the owner of XXXX Apartment come into the bank themselves and bring Article of Formation, Articles of Organization, Article of Incorporation ; which isnt possible because the owner are never in the office. So now I have no way to verifying the money orders to release the hold/restrictions off my account and the bank has already closed my checking and savings accounts. I did a little research of my own and I called XXXX XXXX and they told me the money orders were cashed and received my Chase the next day I deposited them into my savings account at the Chase XXXX. So the funds are available but just not to me. Its been two and a half weeks and Chase has closes my accounts and is withholding XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX deposits of {$3000.00}, from me. All others pre-existing funds in both my savings and checking accounts are being withheld from me as well.

Consumer Complaint: Chase is stealing peoples escrow overages money. On XX/XX/XXXX a {$4500.00} check was supposedly sent to me for the overage in my escrow account after an escrow analysis was done for XXXX. The check miraculously never got to me. So on XX/XX/XXXX they deposit back to my account because I never received the check. They did another escrow analysis and came up with the same results on XX/XX/XXXX and sent me the exact same amount in a check in an escrow statement. What a surprise I never received it. They then re-deposited that same amount on XX/XX/XXXX back to my account because again, miraculously I never received the check. I filed a complaint with you all. In retaliation they did a third escrow analysis and somehow, miraculously, they completely changed their analysis just 12 days later, and deemed that amazingly, every XXXX that they were supposed to send me, was now all of a sudden being used up for XXXX for taxes. in their first two original analysis just two weeks earlier, because of the overage they had reduced my mortgage payment by {$200.00} a month. Mind you they did to escrow analysis within a 30 day period. Then, as soon as I filed a complaint, they did a third analysis, my mortgage payment went up higher than it was, and all of a sudden my escrow overage is XXXX out exactly. Thats quite convenient. I have a letter from the XXXX XXXX tax assessors office, stating that my assessed value is not even close to what theyre determining for XXXX. I also spoke to someone at the county assessors office and there have been three people that Ive complained about the exact same thing from Chase. Oh, and heres another coincidence, the third escrow statement that they sent me that did not have a check in it, it actually made it to my mailbox. What are the chances. Chase is stealing peoples money by making up false escrow amount that are needed. I closed my house in XX/XX/XXXX. At that time 12 months of increase taxes by the millage rate was collected for XXXX. In XXXX my taxes did not go up so theres that entire amount of overage that was still in my account. XXXX. Youve already collected for a year with my payments from last year. Where is the extra money. They are doing this to multiple people. I have documentations from the county assessors office that the amount that they miraculously came up with on their a third analysis is incorrect. Im speaking with the Arizona Attorney General, because luckily I have family members that can allow me to speak with that department and Im going to file a formal complaint. Please see the screenshots that I provided. Like I said, its amazing that the first to escrow analysis statements that had the checks and Im never made it to me but as soon as I file a complaint with you all the third escrow analysis thats done not even 30 days later all of a sudden doesnt have a check in it and it makes it to me..
