Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2021, someone fraudulently contacted Chase and was able to change the address associated with my account ( ending XXXX ). This person then requested a new card ( ending XXXX ) be sent an address that I have never lived at nor do I have any association with. For basically a two-week period, this person then went on a spending spree totaling {$3400.00} in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX apparently ) with the card sent to their address. See attached file. None of these transactions were mine. Of course, the vast majority of these charges don't match my normal spending habits at all ( inmate calls, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, fast food, etc. ). I do occasionally shop at XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, and I provided account histories with both retailers at the time to show that none of these purchases were mine. I'd be happy to provide them again if useful. When I contacted Chase after seeing these fraudulent transactions, they removed these charges from my account. However, they subsequently re-instituted the charges, claiming that they didn't find these to be fraudulent because they were " Chip transactions. '' Of course they were Chip transactions- they mailed the card to someone else 's house! After several rounds of back and forth and no luck, I'm attempting to get a resolution through the CFPB process. If this doesn't work, I'll have to pursue additional legal avenues.

Consumer Complaint: I have not uncharacteristically received wire transfer payments from any of the companies to whom I sold intellectual property previously nor have I received any wire transfer payments since XX/XX/2022 when I switched my banking to Chase Bank NA and provided the account Information to all parties. This week when looking into the matter, I discovered that most months indicate a gap in transactions from the first of the month to the tenth of month both on the Chase Mobile Application and Monthly Statements. I also discovered a checking account ending in XXXX that I was previously unaware existed. These discoveries cause me concern that payments intended to me are being stolen via offsetting equal net-XXXX debit transactions or diverted to the account ending in XXXX that I have never accessed.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 at XXXX a total of XXXX was sent to completed to chase to be deposited. When i checked my account I received an error message stating updated balances were not available. I logged in this morning and the deposit has not been reflected on my account despite the confirmation that funds were debited and the instant transfer was completed from XXXX. I called chase multiple times and after an hour on hold with a manager reveiwing my account my call was disconnected with no resolution and no attempt to reach out again was completed. I called another supervisor and they put me on hold and transferred me to a closed department without notice. I've completed the instant transfer service to my account many times over the years and this is the first time I've had an issue. They refuse to rectify it and keep putting me on hold and hanging up.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, intrigued by Chases online promotion of Receive 15 Elite Night Credits per calendar year ( https : XXXX? XXXX ), I applied for a Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card XXXX I was approved immediately. Once I received the card, I wanted to find out when I would receive the 15 Elite Night credit, so I called Chase card service to ask about the timeline. Everybody I spoke to was clueless about the 15 elite night credit promotion. I got concerned so I visited the Chase XXXX branch in person. A Private Client Banker found in the card offer detail that 15 Elite Night credits will be credited to your Marriott Bonvoy member account within 60 days. However, when we called the card service to double check the timeline, the card service representative was just as clueless as the previous credit service I talked to. After the visit to Chase XXXX XXXX, I have tried on multiple occasions ( both via phone calls and written attempts ) to have Chase give me a clear indication of if they intend to honor the offer to no avail. Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I even got a phone call from a Chase representative who told me I would only receive 15 Elite Night Credit if I waited until XX/XX/XXXX. I told him this went against every advertisement on Chase own website. He had no good response. Attached please find Chases marketing page and a screen shot of the card detail where it talks about the 15 Elite Night Credit. ( p.s. I tried to download the entire offer detail document, but for some strange reasons, rather than printing out the entire document, the printer could only print out the first page four times. It would jump over all the remaining sections, including the section about 15 Elite Night Credits. )

Consumer Complaint: Unfortunately with CFPB, you are only allowed to select one choice but my issue with Chase Bank involves multiple potential violations. I have had various health and financial issues over the past couple of years. I'm finally getting back on my feet. My Chase credit card was not only my lowest balance card, but my lowest credit limit card. And they are the company that I've had the most problems with. In fact, I haven't really had problems with any of the other companies I'm associated with except for Chase. I was a card member for something like 17 years, Maybe longer. In all of that time, my credit limit was never increased ( besides when I initiated an increase ) where was my APR ever lowered but I still remained a client of Chase. I started having financial problems and my balance hovered around only {$700.00}. After a few months of me not being able to pay, understandably Chase close my account. The problem is : Chase kept treating and keeps treating my closed account as an open account meaning I still receive emails as if I have an active credit card when my account was closed back in XX/XX/2022. Chase keeps issuing late fees and keeps piling on interest to a card that was closed many months ago. So now my approximately {$700.00} balance is now over {$1000.00}. They keep calling every single day.. not one day has gone by where they have not called. Chase has already been involved in multiple class action lawsuits where it had to pay out millions of dollars due to harassment or unfair collection practices. I will not be taking advantage of that's why I'm officially filing this complaint. To summarize : 1. my balance must be adjusted 2. They need to stop calling my house with harassing phone calls every single day.
