Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: My checking account, savings account, and XXXX credit cards from chase ( XXXX and XXXX ) were abruptly closed without any explanation from the bank. I tried going to a local branch and they said they could not help find out, and I also called chase, got redirected to many different divisions with the final answer being that " no one I can talk to can ever tell me why my accounts were closed, other than upon further inspection we can not continue banking with you ''. I have over {$3000.00} points in my ultimate rewards portal that can be used towards travel, and now I am forced to spend them all within the next 30 days, that is if they don't suddenly take them away prematurely too.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, JP Morgan Chase issued me a check in the amount of {$9700.00}, representing the funds from an account they closed on my behalf. Unfortunately, Chase did not inform me of the account closure or the issuance of the check during the entire process. The check was dispatched on XX/XX/2023, and it arrived on XX/XX/2023. However, the delivery by XXXX went awry as the check was sent to an incorrect address. Regrettably, someone intercepted the check and successfully cashed it on XX/XX/2023, at XXXX Bank, under the name XXXX XXXX XXXX. This individual forged the check by adding " and XXXX XXXX XXXX '' after my name in the " pay to the order of '' section, and subsequently signed it for cashing ( A copy of the fake check as in item XXXX ) On XX/XX/2023, I called Chase to ask them where my check is and they told me someone has cashed it by faking the check. On XX/XX/2023, I went to the chase branch at XXXX, NY and spoke to XXXX XXXX. He informed me of the procedure for correcting such mistakes. I have also sent the declaration of unauthorized endorsement or altered item form ( A copy as in item XXXX ) and unauthorized signature or forged item declaration ( A copy as in item XXXX ) .I also have reported this incident to both XXXX ( tracking number XXXX ) and the local police ( report number XXXX ), and they are currently conducting investigations into the matter. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX and the customer service told me they can be responsible for the loss and they were waiting for Chase to conduct the verification on their end. However, Chase hadn't done that to this date ( XX/XX/2023 ). From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/2023, I kept contacting the chase claim team ( phone number XXXX ), they kept telling me that they hadn't received my documents, even if it's been a week from the day I filed it. They also kept giving me different responses regarding my situation, some said they received the verification request from XXXX, some said not.
