Consumer Complaint: I made an account with Chase Bank, and Have an agreement with chase that there would be a XXXX bonus credit put into the account upon a direct deposit being entered In to the account! On XXXX XXXX my check which qualified and triggered the XXXX bonus offer was added to the account via direct deposit totaling XXXX direct deposit, flaked to personal bank XXXX, and manager as well as the marketing team which was unable to add the bonus in the account within a XXXX day time frame as the app discussed XXXX manager and marketing team admitted via live recorded phone call that I qualify for the credit and that it will be there on Tuesday instead of today or tomorrow? Phone call was on Friday XXXX XXXX at XXXX with manager!

Consumer Complaint: On sunday XX/XX/XXXX I purchased equipment from XXXX XXXX I wrote hi a check for XXXX made out to cash. That evening his mother attempted to deposit it via mobile deposit. On Monday around XXXX XXXX XXXX up to my business saying the check was bad. So we both went to the bank, we approached the teller together, he explained the check did not deposit, the teller said it was due to it being made out to cash. I asked the teller if the check was voided- she said the check was voided, she also printed off a screen shot of my account and showed me where the check was pending, but would not settle in his account. Therefore I wrote XXXX a second XXXX check, which was cashed on the spot. A day later the initial check # XXXX was withdrawn from my account- I immediately disputed the charge- and the bank told me it was my responsibility to recover the funds from XXXX. Both the teller that submitted the dispute ( different from the teller that assured me the check was voided ) and the branch manger XXXX XXXX agreed the teller was at XXXX but both through their hands in the air. I have contacted my local sheriff 's office to begin a formal investigation process. I have banked with chase for XXXX years, both personal and business ; it baffles me how they have handled this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I got a Chase Ink business card in XX/XX/2023. I used it successfully for a few charges and then tried to purchase something from an online business based in XXXX. The charge was legitimate, and I completed it using another method after my Chase Ink card failed. That was on XX/XX/2023. Ever since then, my card has not worked, and no one has communicated why. I have called twice and been put on hold and falsely told someone would call me back. They claim the card is under security review, but they never 1 ) Asked me to confirm the purchase ( it was valid ) ; 2 ) Told me the card was under review ( I found this out by repeatedly calling ; 3 ) Told me I couldn't use the card ( it was declined repeatedly ; it was humiliating. ) To summarize, Chase refuses to 1 ) Tell me what the issue is ; 2 ) Fix the issue ; 3 ) Let me close the account. Additionally, I was just charged an annual fee for a card they won't let me use. I would like to close the account, have it removed from my credit report, and have my annual fee refunded.

Consumer Complaint: I own a XXXX business and signed up with chase bank to be able to accept credit cards. The first credit card transaction I accepted roughly a month ago was flagged by chase and put on hold for almost a week and was ultimately deposited into my account. Fast forward to yesterday I accepted my second credit card transaction from my customer and chase flagged it again and said I have to wait a week before its deposited. They claim this is all for customer safety but it is just tying up my liquidity for my business. Branch manager called back office executive office and made them aware so I assumed it would be sorted out but the money is still tied up and frozen by chase and I have received no call from them. Not the branches fault at all it is back office corporate side that is absurdly tying up and freezing my money. This is two for two this has happened it is happening 100 % of the time when I accept a credit card payment. I suspect its because I am a XXXX veteran I am being discriminated against. This is very stressful for me and hurting my XXXX XXXXXXXX business-please help.

Consumer Complaint: I received several emails from chase advising me of activity on my account. This activity wasnt done by me so I immediately contacted Chase bank to advise them. That my account has been compromised. However this was one day before my payroll check was to be deposited. I didnt want to go through the process of closing my account at that very moment because I knew it would affect my payroll deposit. I explained this to the claims department and I was reassured that nothing was going to affect me from receiving my direct deposit scheduled for the next business day. I asked this question more than once on a recorded line and I was advised that all I had to do was go to the branch with my ID and retrieve my direct deposit the next day. I said ok and we continued the process of rectifying the fraudulent activity on my account. I was then transferred to another department that would assist with additional fraudulent activity done on my account. This gentlemen advised me that he was going to cancel the mobile deposit because they were due to fraud. I explained to him as well that I have my payroll check coming direct deposit first thing in the morning. He stated on a recorded line that I shouldnt cancel the fraudulent checks because it would be posted to my account and any money I have would be taken. He said wait until you get to the branch and retrieve your direct deposit and then have the branch give us a call. The next morning I call chase to confirm my direct deposit and I was met with pure shock that my account was restricted and I couldnt have my payroll check I was told that I would have to wait 2 business days from Friday. Also I wouldnt be able to access my account until the fraudulent checks came back which will post to my account and take away from my payroll deposit and then I would have to wait an additional 2 days for that to be removed. Im so frustrated. Im a single mother with three children unfortunately I live check to check so I depend on my payroll deposits to not only feed them but to keep the lights on and a roof over their head. These banking institutions need to be held liable in court for hiring people who lie to customers and cause detriment to their lives. I am a victim of fraud and Im being treated like a suspect. I understand policy but to withhold someones money that they have worked hard for in a time like this will cause anyone to lose their mind. My lights has been cut off I have no way to pay for an XXXX to get to the branch. So XXXX stuck in my home with XXXX kids on a hot summer day with no lights, no food, and no means to pay for transportation in order to speak to someone face to face. XXXX writing this because Chase needs to change their policy when someone is a victim of fraud. XXXX a thief stealing from you and you call your bank for help and they lie to you and withhold any money sent to you and tell you to wait until the following week. Wow XXXX speechless I want to sue. I want to protest, I want their policy to change in a way to where the victim is not criminalized for someone elses action. Ive been locked out of my account and no telling when I will see my money that my employer sent to me. I know their has to be more customers who have dealt with this and can relate. I want to do all that I can to fix this now so people dont have this problem in the future. I will post online until this goes viral so that I can collect as many people as I can who have been mistreated and lied to by Chase bank. I pray this gets resolved fast. Because when you live check to check you cant afford to miss XXXX payment of anything before you get behind on everything. This is what is happening to me right now and its not okay

I reported to my Chase ( Fraud Team Dept ) about it but they declined my appeal twice. So I had a meeting with XXXX XXXX who is the Branch Manager at Chase Bank in XXXX, CO ( second time ) last Monday ( XX/XX/2023 ) at XXXX. I showed him photos of my text messages from XXXX XXXX XXXX named XXXX XXXX and his text # is XXXX. XXXX 's ( no last name mentioned according to XXXX 's activity ) email address is XXXX that my money of {$490.00} was deducted from my Chase checking account, XXXX said that Fraud Team Dept told him on the phone to tell me to go to XXXX in XXXX, Colorado and take virus scan, So I went to XXXX in XXXX, CO and they had my cell scanned for virus but they didn't find any virus in it. The staff set up XXXX XXXX XXXX in my cell. Chase Manager ( didn't get his name ) was looking at the photos of the messages from XXXX XXXX XXXX in my cell. He suggested me to go to the police and report about it so that way they could investigate. So I went to the police station in XXXX, CO that day but there was no XXXX interpreter via XXXX so we made an appointment for yesterday on XX/XX/2023 at XXXX with Police XXXX along with American Sign Language interpreter in person. According to Police XXXX, she said that unfortunately I am a victim of identify theft. By the way, my video phone by speaking with Live Person at XXXX at XXXX ( got that ph # from XXXX XXXX ). I was scammed via both text and video phone by fake XXXX. My DL photos and SS # were given to them. I already received new DL and new debit card last week.
