Consumer Complaint: I disputed a transaction through Chase for a transaction of {$51.00}. This was an item that was purchased from a merchant and was marked delivered by the carrier, XXXX. Within three minutes of the delivery notification, I went outside and there was no package where the photo was submitted. Carriers are instructed to deliver packages to the door of the tenant. This carrier submitted a photo with the package in the middle of the courtyard in front of the building, in plain sight from the sidewalk. This is atypical and uncommon. XXXX has repeatedly delivered packages incorrectly to other tenants in this building, and a supervisor has been notified for suspicion of theft. This delivery was not completed, as the carrier did not deliver the package to the address. This is equivocal to the carrier leaving the package in the middle of the road and marking it as delivered. When I contacted XXXX, they instructed me to contact the merchant to file a claim, as the recipient is not eligible to open carrier claims. The merchant refused to do so. Chase has denied the claim even though a thorough account and supporting documentation have been provided. While following up with a representative, after 45 minutes on hold and a 3 minute conversation, the representative disconnected the call when prompted to speak with a supervisor. Chase has a duty to protect the federally insured funds of its depositors from fraud and has failed in this instance.

Spoke with Chase today ( XX/XX/12 ) re : this issue and assured me that the matter has been care for. Spoke also wXXXX, XXXX XXXX who also addressed this info. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. On XXXX, XXXX, someone withdrew from my account unauthroizedly for {$5000.00}. On the same date, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, there is another withdrawl for {$4000.00} that was unauthorizedly from my account. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, there was another XXXX unauthorzied withdrawls from account, which the first unauthorziedwithdrawl withdrawn from ATM was for {$500.00}, the second unauthorzied withdrawl withdrawn from ATM was for {$500.00}, and the third unauthorzied withdrawl withdrawn from counter was for {$500.00}. I went to the bank on XXXX XXXX to file the claim when I immediately realized my account was unauthorizedly withdrawn by others. The bank showed me evidence that my wife withdrew from my account, since this account was owned by me and my wife. HOWEVER, I HAVE SHOWN THE EVIDENCE TO THE BANK THAT MY WIFE HAD ALREADY LEFT THE UNITED STATES IN XXXX, XXXX AND DID NOT COME BACK UNTIL XXXX, XXXX! I called the bank for many many times but they always said that they couldn't help with different reasons. I think this was wrong for the bank not helping me. I don't know why they declined my request for asking the money from these unauthorized transactions back even that I filed a claim within a week from this issue happened.

Consumer Complaint: I wrote a check to my niece for {$1000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX as a wedding gift. She opened an account with CHASE BANK in XX/XX/XXXX at New Jersey, USA. The check was debited out of my account on XX/XX/XXXX into the newly opened CHASE account. However, Chase c losed the newly opened account and withheld the fund ( USD XXXX ) because of an error in the check I wrote. Instead of writing her official name, I wrote her nickname that we call my niece at home. It was an oversight and an honest error. Chase never flagged this as an issue at the time of deposit, and in fact they took the money out of my account as afore mentioned on XX/XX/XXXX. CHASE called me on my land phone line to confirm my identity on XX/XX/XXXX. After this verification call, CHASE communicated to my niece that they will issue a check for XXXX to her that was being withheld. On XX/XX/XXXX my niece informed me that Chase reneged on that position and continues to withhold my money. I have since, request CHASE to re-fund the money back to my account but no avail. I went to Chase Branch in XXXX, Colorado and shared my identification and the details of the issue ( Copy of my State Issued Drivers license, and a copy of my Bank Statement, including copy of the check - attached ). The branch helped file a case [ XXXX ] to CHASE Bank Branch complaint escalation line [ XXXX EXT - XXXX ]. I have called this number many times, but no one picks up the line no matter time of the day or night and they do not return any of my calls both on the land line and cell phone number. I would greatly appreciate if you can have them return my call on my land phone line and or write a letter with the resolution and refund back my check in my name.
