Consumer Complaint: I deposited XXXX checks from my employer on XX/XX/23 XXXX for XXXX and the other for XXXX into my Chase checking account. I was told by Chase that my checks need to be verified before I can use them. A few days after I tried to deposit money into my Chase account but I was unable to. I called Chase to understand the problem, Chase informed me that my checks could not be verified and Chase believes my checks are fraudulent. They restricted my account and I was not allowed to use it at all. I called several times to see how to fix the situation, I was told that since their system could not verify my check, my account will be restricted and unable to use, until verified. I asked Chase how can I assist with verification, so we can rectify the situation promptly. Chase informed me that their company only has one way to verify a check and since that one way was unable to verify my check, my account account will continue to be restricted for use. Finally after waiting, the checks have cleared and the amount is posted to my account on XX/XX/23. However I tried to use my debit card that day and was unsuccessful. When I called to ask the reason, Chase said that even though the checks have cleared we can not verify the checks and your account will remain restricted for use. This whole situation is unjust and Chase has not handled the situation properly.

Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, there was a JPMCB credit card opened under my name that I did not open. Some time after the card was opened, the card accumulated debt and eventually my XXXX credit score dropped, which is how I found out about the fraudulent card. I traveled from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX and during that time I did not follow up or investigate with Chase ( the card company ). In XXXX, I started reporting the issues to XXXX. Around XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Chase fraud and they said they would open an investigation. Since then, I have not heard from Chase and my credit score is still low and the XXXX site still lists the card as having debt under my name.

Consumer Complaint: I received 5 emails in a row from Chase on Monday. It turns out somebody tried to fraudulently open both a checking account and a credit card in my name and then tried to change my personal information so it would come to them. The credit card side of Chase was helpful and assured me the account was closed. They would not provide a report number so i can't ask XXXX to put a watch on my account. On the checking account side, they continued asking for my personal information such as social security number, date of birth, address, etc... I explained i was not comfortable providing this information and that the credit card people were able to resolve this with just my name. After several rounds of them insisting i go to a branch or give them my personal information they hung up on me. They didnt seem concerned that a fake account was opened and is operating under my name. All i could get from them ID : XXXX ( the credit card side which seems resolved ) XXXX ( XXXX ) Reference # : XXXX

Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: I lost my bank ATM card with JP Chase Morgan. I noticed several fraudulent transactions on my account on XX/XX/2023. I immediately called them and spoke to a Representative who opened a claim for each charge. I spoke to the fraud department and they assured me that they would investigate and get the charges reversed. On XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, they reversed the charges because whoever had my ATM card used the correct PIN. So they are not saying it is not fraud. I have no knowledge of who this person is and each of the charges is far away from my home. I work from home and could not be over XXXX miles away when these charges were made. I asked them to view the cameras of the person who had taken the money out of my account by ATM and they said they do not view cameras in investigations. If they can view the camera when this money was taken out by ATM they will clearly see it was not me. I spoke to a Supervisor on XX/XX/XXXX by the name of XXXX and he said to reference claim number XXXX to obtain his full name because I told him I would file a complaint against JP Morgan on these charges. Because my ATM cards were compromised, I requested new cards and to this day I still have not received new ATM cards.
