Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Hello. I am hoping that you can please help me with this issue. Long story short. On XX/XX/2023 at XXXX pm my XXXX account was hacked. Hacker stated that prior orders were not received. Hacker requested {$100.00} worth of gift cards. Hacker than purchased XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/2023 Hacker purchased a computer monitor amount {$150.00} on my credit card to be shipped to my previous address where my mother currently lives. On XX/XX/2023 Hacker purchased {$190.00} worth of batteries on my card to once again be shipped to my previous address. Each time there was suspicious activity I called XXXX to report the situation and also called Chase to report the situation. I did everything they asked of me. I thought everything was taken care of until the fraudulent charges amounts {$150.00} and {$190.00} showed up on my bank statement again. Sense than I have spend hours on the phone between Chase and XXXX. I have provided chase with everything theyve asked including my phone records with XXXX and Chase, an XXXX complaint form with the FBI, all of my recorded calls with XXXX, a XXXX page document of fraudulent statements in which the hacker was impersonating me and messaging the XXXX bot about the fraudulent orders they made, and all of purchases made with XXXX in the past 2 years. This has been a complete nightmare that Ive been dealing with for almost three months. I even went into a Chase branch to back on XX/XX/2023 to talk to someone and they still didnt seem to have an solution. Today XX/XX/2023 I was finally able to talk to a Chase representative who seemed to be able to help and during a XXXX way call with the Chase representative and XXXX representative the Chase representative hung up in the middle of the call and didnt call back. I feel like these two companies are spinning me in circles always leading back to me being responsible something I didnt do. I wish they would do whatever research thats involved in a hacking situation correctly. I dont know how many more times I can tell them I was hacked. With 3 months going by and these amounts still being on my account it is now also impacting my credit scorXXXX. I really dont know what else I can do.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I've received a phone call from Chase Dispute Department providing me with an update on the case associated with the charge posted on XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX for amount of {$2500.00}. Representative informed me that the merchant received the inquiry and contesting the dispute, therefore Chase was asking for supporting documentation for further proceedings. I've informed representative that I do in fact have all the supporting information and would like to submit it to Chase and asked for a Claim ID for this case. I was informed about the claim ID and was told to expect a letter from Chase which I need to fill out and submit with the supporting documentation. On XX/XX/XXXX I've received a notification that the letter was generated. I've filled out the form ( copy of it attached ) and included all the supporting documentation relevant to this inquiry which was sent to Chase via Chase XXXX XXXX XXXX on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX. Later afternoon Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I gave a call to Chase Dispute Department to confirm did they receive the documents I've provided them with since the department wasn't available via phone over the weekend. I was informed that the case was closed due not receiving the documents, notwithstanding the fact the deadline for the response was on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding a series of fraudulent transactions on my Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card and the inadequate response from the fraud investigation department. On XX/XX/2023, I discovered 34 unauthorized transactions amounting to {$1100.00} made with my Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card through my digital wallet on my XXXX. Despite repeated attempts to report these transactions as fraudulent, the department continues to assert their validity, implicating me in what appears to be a criminal act. The transactions occurred in cities in the state of California on the same day. However, this is categorically impossible, as I reside in Puerto Rico, and the 34 charges were allegedly made in three different cities simultaneously. It is evident to anyone with common sense that these transactions are fraudulent. The department 's primary " evidence '' relies on the assertion that these transactions were made in person through my digital wallet. I am also dismayed by the substandard service and insufficient protection afforded to me as a credit card user. On XX/XX/XXXX, I added my Sapphire Preferred card to my digital wallet and received a confirmation email. Curiously, the next day, I received an identical email, potentially signaling the commencement of the fraudulent activity. Additionally, I received a fraud alert when purchasing plane tickets with XXXX in XXXX XXXX for {$620.00} on the same day as the fraudulent transactions. Strangely, the 34 transactions, totaling over a thousand dollars in three different cities, did not trigger any alerts. I urge Chase to reevaluate the validation of these transactions promptly. I am prepared to pursue this matter within the confines of the law to ensure the removal of these charges from my account. I find it distressing that, despite my prompt and responsible credit card usage throughout my association with Chase, I am now subjected to accusations of dishonesty and criminal behavior. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss the necessary steps to rectify this situation. I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and expect a swift resolution.

Consumer Complaint: My chase bank app has a XXXX option. I used it bc its on CHASE APP as an option to pay. I have tried to purchase XXXX XXXX tickets. Sent XXXX payment via XXXX XXXX. {$500.00} Within XXXX minutes I realize it's fraud bc I only got XXXX ticket. So I call both phone numbers and they go straight to voice-mail. I hop in my car to go to XXXX XXXX to see if XXXX ticket I received via a fake electronic '' XXXX '' ticket is at least legit. I live XXXX minutes from XXXX XXXX; was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX its definitely a scam ). On way there I call chase and XXXX immediately. I give them the 2 phone numbers, one email address and 2 names linked to the person I supposedly paid. Both companies say oh well, no investigation and refuse to refund me. Chase is supposed to be a secure safe app. If so why do they offer XXXX as a payment??? When if fraud there's XXXX help? I asked this when I called chase told Representative I used my phone not PC for transaction. I was then told that a warning pops up from chase re XXXX in PC but not in phone transactions.. WHAT!!?? 2 employees at Chase & 1 at XXXX all told me that Chase hardly if ever help with XXXX fraud NOR issues refunds. Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of concern regarding the negative impact on my credit standing. This issue arose as a result of following the advice of a debt consolidation company, specifically the representatives of the Law offices of XXXX XXXX XXXX and associates. Upon seeking assistance from the debt consolidation company, I was advised not to make monthly credit card payments with the intention of allowing these accounts to close. The subsequent closure of these accounts has resulted in a significant decline in my credit scores. Furthermore, reputable financial institutions such as Chase now have records of me being 90 days or more past due, despite my prior good standing. I would like to emphasize that prior to following the advice of the debt consolidation company, my credit accounts were in good standing, and I had a responsible track record of timely payments. The impact of this advice on my credit standing has been distressing and has caused significant inconvenience and concern. I have documentation and correspondence from the debt consolidation company, including details of the advice provided and the intended resolution through settlement with lower numbers on these accounts. I believe that this evidence supports my case and underscores the impact of the advice I received. I kindly request that you investigate this matter and make the necessary corrections to my credit report. I am committed to resolving this issue and restoring my credit standing to its previous favorable status. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am available to provide any additional information or documentation as required. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX

The people in the branch were useless and not willing to help in anyway. This has also cost me {$50.00} in XXXX trips there and back. I want a new check sent out as a matter of urgency and I want to be refunded my travel cost due to this being a fault of Chase bank and not me.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: I have been in XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX I was released XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX. During my time in XXXX an unauthorized user used my atm card for multiple purchases these purchases I had no idea about until I called to cancel some reoccurring charges from XXXX, XXXX. XXXX, and XXXX during that time I notice my account had little to nothing in it. When I get paid XXXX + a month and Im in XXXX nothing should have been taken out other than a XXXX transfer I approved before my XXXX When I tried to put in a dispute they were being very difficult not believing that I did not authorize these transactions when it is impossible for me to use my card while in XXXX. And I also stated that my debt card was left at my house and that my house was cleared out my the landlord due to me being in XXXX and not being able to pay rent. I am sure someone found it in my house and used it. They then told me they are not liable for anything after 60 days which I understand if I was not in XXXX but the fact that I was in XXXX I had no way of knowing and if I did not call that day more would of been lost. They then asked me to provide proof I was XXXX during those months which I did provide upon release on the XXXX I went into a local branch and had then fax the documents to the claims department for further review. At that time they closed the claim even after I told them I would not be out till XXXX so they said they would give me up to 120 days to provide the documents which I did with in 45 days upon receiving the documents they then still denied the claim. Claiming that the transactions were authorized which again is impossible due to me being in XXXX and have no one or no reason for money to be spent. I get paid a little over XXXX dollars a month from XXXX to XXXX I should of had at least XXXX dollars in my account and if you subtract the XXXX transfer that I did authorize it should of been at minimum XXXX dollars including some small reoccurring transactions upon release my account had about XXXX dollars in it I was missing almost XXXX yet the amount I was told was being disputed was XXXX dollars which is wrong! I received a letter on my online banking XX/XX/XXXX stating that my claim was denied due to transactions being authorized which is false 100000 % I would like my money returned I do not make a lot of money and I have a son I need to provide for as well as finding a place to live this has put me in an extremely difficult situation to where now I have no money. I have lost also XXXX and they are doing nothing about it. Trying to tell me that I authorized those transactions when I did not. I will file a lawsuit if need be but was told to take this route first. Please help me get my money back. I will attach the document I received in XXXX to provide proof I was XXXX during that time frame on the document it states I was booked into XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received the document while still in XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX so on it it says that I am still in XXXX which is correct at the time I was released XX/XX/XXXX. Please assist me in anyway possible I will greatly appreciate it. The document proving that I was XXXX is in my truck and my truck is at the shop. But the claims department at chase bank has that document please have them provide it
