In light of the aforementioned violations, I hereby request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau thoroughly investigate this matter and take appropriate enforcement actions against I.C Systems Inc. Additionally, I urge the Bureau to ensure that [ Name of Collection Agency ] ceases all collection activities related to the disputed debt until these issues are resolved in accordance with the law. Issue: Written notification about debt

Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally dispute the debt you are attempting to collect as well as to bring to your attention several violations of my rights under the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. As per the referenced consumer laws, specifically 12 CFR 1006.34 ( b ) ( 5 ), 12 CFR 1006.34 ( c ) ( 4 ) ( i ), 12 CFR 1006.34 ( d ), and 15 USC 1681s 2 ( 7 ) ( A ), it is evident that your actions have not adhered to the prescribed standards. Firstly, I dispute the validity of the debt you are attempting to collect. I have not received any verification or validation of this debt as per my rights outlined in 15 USC 1681s 2 ( 7 ) ( A ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is imperative that you provide me with detailed documentation verifying the debt, including the original creditor 's name, the amount owed, and any relevant account statements. Furthermore, your collection practices have violated my rights under 12 CFR 1006.34. Specifically, your failure to provide me with written notice within five days of your initial communication, as required by 12 CFR 1006.34 ( b ) ( 5 ), is a clear violation of the law. Additionally, your failure to cease collection efforts until you have provided sufficient validation of the debt, as mandated by 12 CFR 1006.34 ( c ) ( 4 ) ( i ), further demonstrates your disregard for consumer rights. Moreover, your company has failed to provide accurate and complete information to the credit reporting agencies, as outlined in 12 CFR 1006.34 ( d ). The inaccurate reporting of this debt has had a detrimental impact on my credit score and financial well-being. Therefore, I demand that you : Cease all collection activities on the disputed debt until you have provided adequate verification as required by law. Provide me with detailed documentation validating the debt in question, including the original creditor 's name, the amount owed, purchase agreement between the original creditor and you, also requesting to furnish proof to be licensed and bonded and any relevant account statements. Correct any inaccuracies in the information you have reported to the credit reporting agencies and provide me with written confirmation of these corrections.

Subissue: Debt was already discharged in bankruptcy and is no longer owed

Consumer Complaint: I received an alert from XXXX XXXX reporting that a collection account had been placed on my credit report from I.C. Systems, Inc. on XX/XX/XXXX for {$570.00}. I didn't receive any written or verbal communication from this company whatsoever. I called I.C. Systems on XX/XX/XXXX and had a recorded phone conversation with them. They informed me this was a collection bill from a XXXX account from XXXX. I informed the representative of the following information that this bill was never owed by me and that a XXXX store upgraded my phone at no charge and all I had to pay was activation fees which were paid to take delivery of the new phone. Later to find out the XXXX store closed and this was an attempt to rip off customers and sell inventory and pocket money. I never would have upgraded had I had to pay for a new phone. XXXX also unlocked the phone for me so I could change phone providers because of this bad customer treatment. Had I owed money XXXX money on a phone they never would have unlocked it. I also informed the representative that they were the third collection agency that had tried to collect this debt which was covered under a XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy in the XXXX XXXX XXXX Ohio Bankruptcy Court which was discharged on XX/XX/XXXX. Case # XXXX. I have also filed previous complaints with the CFPB regarding this matter as listed in the case numbers here : XXXX & XXXX. XXXX and its band of collection hounds should be fined and sanctioned for this type of continued harassment.
