Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: On Tuesday, XX/XX/2020, I received a phone call from XXXX at XXXX. Caller identified herself as being from a Collections Agency and that the call would be recorded. She asked for my husband or myself by name. I stated my name and asked where she was calling from. She said she was calling from IC Systems regarding a debt from XXXX XXXX. She told me that I had a past due balance from a previous address from 4.5 years ago. I was skeptical, as all services were paid and terminated when we moved to our current address. She was willing to send a letter in the mail if I updated my mailing address. I gave her current address and then asked for more detail about the past due bill. She gave me an amount due and an account number to reference. I told her I would need to contact the utility company at a later time. At XXXX on the same day, I called XXXX XXXX to speak with someone about the past due amount. The agent searched for my name, my husband 's name, the previous address, both of our phone numbers, and by Social Security number and was unable to find any amount that was sent to collections. She suggested that the call was a possible scam.

Consumer Complaint: Mutiple calls starting from the same number followed by mutiple calls by different numbers about twice a day. When answered, there is only silence and then a redirect to a machine. When called back, only machine amswer. It asks for an account number I couldn't possibly have and leaves no other identafiable information such as asking for my name or using the last 4 digits of my cell phone number or any other information. Website leads in circles and there is no way to recover any information to use to stop their calls or recover any type of information. Overall, it's just been an unidentifiable harasser over an unidentified issue with no possible resolution on my side.

Consumer Complaint: IC Systems collection agency has been harassing multiple family members ( including my brother, and elderly father ) on many occasions. On one occasion my father was with me and passed me the phone, i explained to the gentlemen on the phone that the number he is calling is not mine and my fathers and to stop calling it and he hung up on me. I called again, and spoke to a women who said they would take my fathers number off file. They still call my father almost everyday. Harassing an elderly man for no reason, demanding him to put me on the phone to speak with them. I have also on more then one occasion told this company not to call me anymore or send letters, since they wished not to settle an amount with me. I explained if they didn't wish to settle then there is no reason to keep calling me. They send letters to my house every single week. It absolutely insane. I called once from my work phone to speak to someone about settling and now they call my work phone! So unprofessional, this is beyond the point of harassment.

Consumer Complaint: IC Systems is reporting a debt on my credit file I do not owe. I was not informed of this debt until I checked my credit. As soon as I learned about the debt, I called and settle it, a long time ago. I was not given any collection notices or phone calls regarding this debt, and this violates my 30 day right to dispute by law.

Consumer Complaint: I initially emailed XXXX and XXXX, a basic dispute letter asking them to verify that the information on my credit report was reporting accurately. XXXX responded with a generic response saying that it was updated. I disputed the account with IC systems, debt collector involved. IC systems responded that they will no longer be collecting on the account, and that they will ask the reporting bureaus to delete the information. XXXX had this account as a duplicate, they deleted one and left the other, Although I provided them with the letter from IC System. XXXX responded twice with Updated. How can they update an account was they was told from the debt collector to DELETE. I sent XXXX another dispute along with the letters, pointing out FCRA VIOLATIONS and another copy of the letter sent from IC sytames, saying for the bureaus to delete the tradeline. XXXX responded again saying that the account was updated. I called XXXX and spoke with a customer service rep. who told me that would open another dispute. They sent information saying they could not located my file in their database. I have enclosed all information below. I am seeking counsel for the violations in questions. Both XXXX have IC under a DIFFERENT ACCOUNT than the account number IC system sent. However the account number is WRONG as well.
