Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I received an alert from XXXX XXXX, a credit monitoring company that I had a derogatory account from XXXX XXXX and IC System reporting on my credit profile. I immediately contacted XXXX XXXX to dispute the issue. I was told by the representative that the charge was because XXXX XXXX did not receive handsets after I canceled the service. I provided proof that the handsets had been scanned ie. the prepaid return shipping labels provided by XXXX XXXX. I also provided proof that the handsets had been delivered and received by XXXX XXXX. The representative assured me that the issue was resolved, but I received another notification weeks later stating that the debt of {$1400.00} had been sold to IC System by XXXX XXXX. This is not my debt.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: This is a request for assistance with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for unfair credit reporting and debt collection practice from the original creditor and debt collection agency. The original creditor named : XXXX XXXX submitted a debt to be collected to the debt collection agency named : IC System for an amount of {$150.00} The original creditor has never made an attempt to submit a billing statement and details of the medical debt to my home of residence. There was never a detailed information about the age of the debt and the amount owed based on the services that was supposed to have been performed. There was never an attempt by the original creditor to separate the amount owed in comparison to what my medical insurance is supposed to cover. Furthermore, I am military personnel with full medical and dental coverage to include a full coverage of a supplemental medical insurance from a separate insurance entity. Both the original creditor and the debt collector did not provide full details of the debt or send any billing statement as stated from the fair credit reporting act. Instead, both parties decided to send the false information to the credit bureaus which was not fully verified to ensure proper reporting procedure was conducted. Due to their negligence and deliberate misconduct I lost tremendous credit points from the credit bureaus which impacted my score and seized the plan to purchase a home for my family. I am pleading for your help to stop this insane malpractice of credit reporting and debt collection process and bring sanity back to my family who is not suffering from not being able to purchase a home.

Consumer Complaint: The company added a collection to my credit report without my knowledge. I called and spoke to someone in their customer service department and they advised that the account was FDCPA violations! I request IC verify the following information : 1 - Full original account number 2 - Date original account was opened 3 - Any written and signed agreement between myself & original credit stating that the debt is owed 4 - Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5 - Date of first alleged delinquency 6 - Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me before it was reported to the agency, and so proving that these calls were made during the times governed by FDCPA law. If IC is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRA 's. IC also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute the validity of the alleged debt. I eventually received this letter dated XX/XX/XXXX although it is reporting on my credit as XX/XX/XXXX.
