Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I was made aware of a collection notice for a company called IC Solutions. This company stated that I owed a bill of {$210.00} to XXXX from XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ), and I was transferred to young man named XXXX who found my account, could see where I turned in my equipment on XX/XX/XXXX ( I have this receipt ) at the local branch. He stated that he could see my last payment on XX/XX/XXXX for the period ending XX/XX/XXXX, and stated that I should have been billed a pro-rated amount from XXXX. XXXX also stated that he did not have the authority to credit that amount and that he would escalate to his supervisor that would call me back before XX/XX/XXXX. After receiving no phone call, I called back on XX/XX/XXXX and was escalated to the complaint department, they then told me that they could not credit me and that IC Solutions had to do so. They also stated that IC Solutions had all of the account information. On XX/XX/XXXX I called IC Solutions who then told me that they had to get the information from XXXX and that they would open an investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. That complaint was answered with a mailing from IC Solutions with statements from XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. The two months following my equipment turn-in, and cancellation of service. I did not have a contract, and was billed for services not rendered. This is fraudulent billing, and it is being reported to the credit agencies, which is a violation of the FCRA. I have documentation showing that I turned in my equipment and cancelled my service XX/XX/XXXX and was billed the following two months. If you look at XXXX there are countless complaints of IC Solutions reporting inaccurate information to the credit reporting agencies. I have attached documents that include my receipt for picking up and returning my equipment, payment on my last bill and emails from XXXX for coming into the branch and returning my equipment, and an email from a phone call made after I paid my payment thru XX/XX/XXXX. on this call I was told that I would receive a pro-rated bill for XXXX. This bill also shows that I was billed for XXXX and part of XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: This company is reporting an old account originally reported in 2016 as a new collections account to all 3 credit bureaus. This process will allow the negative account to remain on my credit report longer than the 7 years legally allowed. This is also making me appear as a higher risk by showing a new account on my credit reports.

Subissue: Old information reappears or never goes away
Consumer Complaint: In the process of repairing my credit score I disputed some old debt accounts that were listed with reporting errors and they were removed by XXXX. But I C Systems bought one of those removed old debt accounts and proceeded to reapply it onto my credit as a new debt with them and they are reporting it two times a month since XX/XX/2020. I have never directly communicated to this company nor did I receive any documents from them informing me who they were. I C Systems just suddenly appeared on my credit report claiming I had an account with them. I submitted a dispute to XXXX on XX/XX/2020 to remove the account due to inaccurate dates on debt, this collection agency bought an old debt of mine from another collection agency and were claiming it was a new debt ( 2 months ) on my credit. XXXX came back claiming that they investigated it and the account was up to FCRA requirements. But I investigated and found that what this debt collector is doing is against Federal Credit Reporting Policies. A collection account bought is considered a continuation of the original debt therefore the date of debt can not be changed to the purchase date the collector bought the account. " It is a violation of law for a collection agency to report old past-due amounts as if they are new again when the debts are sold. If an agency persists in reporting old debts with updated activity dates, you may have a legal case against them. ''
