Consumer Complaint: IC systems added a collection to my credit report in the amount of {$5800.00} with date opened date of XX/XX/2021. I monitor my credit report every month and have never seen this collection. I was never contacted at my phone number or address for this collection either. I'm in the process of closing on a home and I feel they did this on purpose to extort money from me. Literally, I'm days away from closing on my dream home and this random collection pops up out of nowhere delaying everything and running my dreams. I've contacted them directly and of course, they do not respond. How can the credit bureaus get away with this! Apparently, XXXX and XXXX just took their word for it too. They also added a remark " Affected by natural disaster '' what does that even mean?
