Consumer Complaint: I've noticed a few inquiries from companies that I have no knowledge of. I currently won a judgment from a creditor. Because they allowed someone to purchase a vehicle under my name without the proper identification. I've called both the bureaus and reporting companies. Nobody seems to want to follow up with this even after providing them documents.

This vehicle was traded in and paid off in XXXX of 2013. Please correct this or remove it from my report. Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from GM Financial in XXXX of XXXX stating they were moving to a new billing system in XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX I received another letter from GM Financial stating they were having issues with their billing system and I should pay the statements I receive and they will eventually start billing correctly. My normal lease payment is XXXX XXXX/mo. and in XXXX of XXXX GM Financial began billing me incorrectly, so I paid exactly what was on the statement and assumed they would send me a statement to catch up on payments. Inaccurate statements for XXXX were as follows : ( I have copies of all of these ) XX/XX/XXXX - Total amount due {$30.00}. I paid {$30.00} ( No late charges XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - Total amount due {$30.00}. I paid {$30.00} ( No late charges ) XX/XX/XXXX - Total amount due {$30.00}. I paid {$30.00} XXXX No late charges ) XXXX XXXX - Total amount due {$430.00}. I paid {$1500.00} XXXX No late charges ) **May XXXX - Total amount due {$540.00}. I paid {$540.00} ( No late charges ) *In XXXX of XXXX I was contacted by a collections agency stating they were going to repossess my XXXX if I didn't pay {$1500.00}. **In XXXX of XXXX the account started billing correctly. When I was told my account was in collections I paid the {$1500.00} they wanted and immediately contact GM Financial to be sure this would not affect my excellent credit score. Customer service was less than helpful at first. The first representative I talked to said I should have been making my regular monthly payments, my credit would be affected, and she asked if I " Only paid the amount due on all of my invoices '' - I answered " Yes '' and asked for a supervisor who again wasn't very helpful. After several calls back and forth I finally got someone who looked into everything and he told me this was happening to quite a few people and apologized on behalf of GM Financial. He told me they did report this to the credit agencies, but I would be able to dispute it w/o issue and he said it would be noted on my account. My credit score did take quite a hit from this and when I filed a dispute it was denied. I did everything GM Financial asked of me, I paid all of the statements that were sent to me ( on time ), my statements show all payments were on-time, and GM Financial did not contact me a single time to tell me they were sending my account to collections or my vehicle was being sent to repossession. My current credit score has one blemish - 30 days late - GM Financial - XXXX and GM Financial is completely to blame for this. I recently had to take a higher mortgage rate because my bank sees late payments as a risk. The mortgage APR I was hoping to get was 3.99 % and I had to take one at 4.125 % Again, I have never been late on ANY of my payment to ANY of my creditors.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial auto-pay does not permit an indefinite reoccurring payment schedule like all other credit accounts. The reoccurring payment end date was created by GM Financial circa 2017 upon the opening of the loan account and not properly disclosed ( after 3 years of GM auto payment for the lease ). After a total of 5 years of reoccurring payments, there was no notification made by GM that a monthly auto payment would not take place. After the payment was missed, GM did not electronically notify me or call to say that the payment did not take place. Two days before the account was going to be 30 days delinquent, a representative left a nondescript voicemail ( saved ), not identifying themselves, or their place of business, only saying to call them back. This was assumed to be a scam call. It was only discovered after speaking to several GM customer services representatives that this was their one attempt to contact me. I only discovered I had a 30 day late account by a credit monitoring email ( XXXX XXXX ). I paid the bill in full as soon as discovering the issue and contacted GM the next day. The late fee was reversed after acknowledgement that this was incompetence on GMs part but my credit report took a major hit due to the 30 day late payment history. Several phone calls to GM customer service management yielded no results to correct the issue. Disputes with the credit agencies havent had positive results either.

Consumer Complaint: I turned in my lease vehicle in XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I leased another brand new one as I do every 2 to 3 years for the last 25 years. I received a bill on XX/XX/2019 for Mileage overage and also a small dent XXXX, no big deal as the dealer gave us a XXXX mileage overage and a XXXX damage waiver. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a lady in the billing dept, and asked if this is what we owed, she said we will send out a final bill because she was not certain that both Vouchers were on there. Again no big deal because we knew we had a final bill coming. I guess I should of called again but in the past when the send the cars to auction they would send a final letter stating the vehicle was sold and all obligations were met. Well not this time. We went down to refinance our home and found out that GM Financial had put a mark on our credit and was in recovery.. Really? How come no final bill sent I asked when I called them? they said they sent it, I said we never received it.. I asked why did you not send another one? she had no answer and said it was my responsibility to take care of .. I asked why did you not call us? she said we did. I said I had not had a call. she said we called twice .. well I have a answering machine and there was no messages, she said the first time they left no message, the 2nd time a man answered. I said that would have been me, I said what did you say, she said we asked for XXXX, I asked what else was said, she the man said she was at work .. I said ok? did you say where you were from or what it was about? she said no .. Again realize how many phone solicitation calls we all get in a day.. I said all you had to do was say this is so and so from Gm financial and we need to speak with her. It would have been handled right away, I would have called my wife and told her to call them Or better yet send a final bill saying that we need to get final payment.. After all of that I asked what the final bill was and paid it over the phone. Now my wife 's credit went from XXXX down to under 700 and I could not put her on the new home loan. So after leasing and buying brand new cars from GM for 25 years and mind you it is roughly 24 brand new Vehicles. My wife and I are both XXXX years old and have always had perfect credit and have prided our selves on that fact, Both of us have never had a mark on our credit for over 25 years. We called the dealer and they called them, I have called GM financial and spoke with them 4 times. So now after 24 brand new cars and 12 aunts, uncle, Both Moms, Both Dads, Grand parents working for GM their whole lives, we now have told all them what happened and they agree never to purchase GM again.. Pretty sad this all could have been prevented with a call saying we need to speak with XXXX about a bill, or just sent us a final bill, or even for that matter send a bill stating final notice like almost ever company does ... Look at GM financial reviews!! Hey GM you obviously have a issue with your billing dept!!! Also we will be getting with the Credit Bureau as well, hopefully they will be able to help, if they look at her credit it is as good as can possibly be ..

Consumer Complaint: Business Information Business Name : GM Financial XXXX : XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX Complaint Details I financed an automobile for my daughter through GM Financial in my name in XXXX. My daughter defaulted on the loan and I took over the payments in late XXXX. She was behind on the payments so I asked to refinance the loan but was refused. I worked with a gentleman in collections named XXXX XXXX employee # XXXX for several months making token payments until I was able to bring the acount completly current in XX/XX/XXXX with two payments of {$950.00} each which included late fees etc.. The account was paid through XX/XX/XXXX. I made the regular XXXX payment of {$470.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, 9 days before the due date of XX/XX/XXXX. I noticed late fees were showing on the account bringing the amount due to {$500.00}. I paid {$470.00} about {$5.00} over the amount due which should have been posted to principal. I inquired once in the month of XXXX and twice in the month of XXXX on their customer complaint website with no response regarding the late charges and fees that have suddenly appeared. XX/XX/XXXX payment will be due on XX/XX/XXXX and I looked on the computer dashboard XX/XX/XXXX to set up my XXXX payment for this account and see they have posted the entire {$470.00} payment of XXXX to interest only!! I am so disgusted because its very, very, very hard to reach someone at GM Financial who can add 2+2 and come up with 4!! I generally exclusively work with Mr. XXXX because he sounds like he knows something about what he is doing but he can be hard to reach. I am working very hard relinquish my association with GM Financial and incidents like this make it not be soon enough!! Update : I received a call from Mr. XXXX in collections XX/XX/XXXX asking me to give a little time for the company to resolve this matter and to be fair I agreed. I told him that to simplify matters my payment for XXXX would be in the form of 2 checks instead of being online. I sent check # XXXX for {$370.00} that is clearly annotated for Principal only and another check # XXXX for {$100.00} that stated clearly Interest Only. When I verified online that my payment had been received I noted that only c. {$75.00} was applied to principal!! Completely disregarding my annotations!!

Consumer Complaint: I opened and have maintained an leasing account with GM financial in XX/XX/XXXX. My lease is slotted to end XX/XX/XXXX. I moved, recently, out of the country and needed to end the lease early. I first called a GM dealership, asking to turn in the car on my way driving out of the country. They advised me that I needed to have an inspection done on the car. I called GM Financial, the leaseholder, and they CONFIRMED, via telephone, that this was the case. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. I was then told that a pre-inspection would be necessary. The pre-inspection should be scheduled within 48-72 hours, I was told. I was trying to return the car before leaving the US. Unfortunately, GM leasing could not transmit the file in the timeframe they said they would. I called back every business day after that, politely asking where my file was and when could I have the lease completed. Every time, I was assured that it would happen the next morning. I moved on XX/XX/XXXX, and left the car in the US, being charged $ XXXX/day for storage until the " mandatory '' pre-inspection lease was undertaken. I waited nearly two weeks, before yesterday talking to a customer rep who advised me that I was misinformed, and that the inspection is not required. I asked for an address to bill GM Financial for the costs of storage, as their mistake has now lead to me having to put out costs. The customer service reps then turned incredibly rude and refused to cooperate. They admitted no fault.

Consumer Complaint: I have returned the leased vehicle in the month of XXXX and attempted to pay dues and any other dues I am responsible. I was told by the dealer that GM finance will contact me but I never get contacted by GM or did not received any final statement to pay my dues. I even called three weeks back and requested to send the statement and it was not sent. when I realized that I did not received the statement, about a week back, I requested the GM Finance to post it online in my online account with them or send email to the email addressed that was linked to my online account or text me the dues. But GM Finance told me that they only mail it to my physical address or fax it to me. I was advised to wait couple more days. I called again to tell GM Finance that I did not received the statement, they told me that they initiated another request but I requested to connect me to a supervisor but I was told that the supervisor was not available. I requested a call back form the supervisor to explain the situation. But I did not get any call back. My intention was clear that I wanted to pay my dues as soon as I see an official statement and working with GM Finance for the last 4 weeks but they reported to Credit Bureau that my payment was late which I think is unfair.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I leased a new XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, FL. All went well and I was a happy customer. On XX/XX/XXXX I went to shop for a new vehicle and find out if there were any specials going on. I was able to return my XXXX XXXX and lease a new XXXX XXXX XXXX. All was still fine and I was a happy customer. In XXXX my husband and I both received a bill for {$580.00}. I immediately contacted XXXX XXXX pertaining to this bill. I was told that since I had paid for an excess wear and tear policy on the equinox and leased another vehicle there should be no payment due. Before I could do anything about this, GM Financial reported this to the credit bureau as 90 days in the rears with a {$580.00} balance. In almost 12 years of leasing vehicles with XXXX my payments have never been late. As soon as this was reported to the credit bureau my husband and my credit scores dropped XXXX to XXXX and XXXX to XXXX. XXXX points and I am still trying to get it fixed. Numerous calls to GM Financial, numerous disputes with all credit bureaus and emails to XXXX XXXX which go unanswered. I have paperwork that shows I do not owed the excess wear and tear of {$150.00} and the disposition fee of {$390.00} that was charged in error as I leased another new vehicle from XXXX. I am getting no where with GM Financial, the credit bureaus, or XXXX after 3 months. This has damaged our credit scores and kept us from financial opportunities. The {$580.00} is still on my credit report and it is now showing 120 days past due. And still on my husbands credit report.

Consumer Complaint: This is in reference to the account XXXX ( XXXX XXXX 2012 ) which was under both party names XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, a court order and judgement was signed and indicated that the vehicle was transferred solely to XXXX XXXX. Therefore, making this debt XXXX XXXX 's responsibility. The court order was signed by a Judge of the state of Florida. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a certified mail document along with the original petition where you will find on page 12 of the document under XX MARITAL ASSETS : The parties own to vehicles jointly. Husband shall keep the XXXX and be 100 % responsible for all payments. Wife shall keep the XXXX and be 100 % for all payments. Each party shall keep their vehicle insured as required by law. This negative remark on my credit report in which you are reporting is hurting my credit score and hurting me from obtaining credit. I spoke to a few representatives and I provided some the attorney 's information as requested, and no one has made any attempt to contact his law firm. I am considering this vehicle no longer involved in a litigation as I am going to take measure of my own to resolve this. Since you are stating that your contract supersedes a Judge 's order/court order, I am requesting documentation of contract where it states this. I am asking that you relinquish my name from this contract. I already fulfilled my account ( XXXX XXXX '13 ) which has been paid in full.
